Hello Look Fantastic calendar openers! Post as you open each day and we'll discuss our thoughts. No spoilers please.
As said on other calendar opening threads, think it is fair to say you can post about the current day from 7am so people know to avoid the thread after that time if they haven’t opened yet.

@AliceinBunniland I have sensitive skin too so was expecting the Vit C to irritate my skin and make it itchy and bumpy which it didn't do but I did wake up the next morning with spots so I assume they were from the Vit C, I would give it a go and see how you get on, at least you know the silver saviour face mask will hopefully get rid of them if you break out! I'm going to give the Vit C another go after Xmas when I'm less bothered about getting spots to see if it was that that caused it.
I got the hydrating primer they just have included a variety.

OchonAgusOchonO · 18/12/2020 09:41

I got mattifying . I would have preferred hydrating as my skin is no longer oily (a benefit of menopause) but either is fine really as it's not particularly dry either.

Butterymuffin · 18/12/2020 10:26

I got the mattifying primer, which is lucky as I also use hydrating primer and have several I really like, but as it happens I had only thought this week that I was about to run out of my current mattifying primer and would want another - don't use it all the time but has been hendy lately when I've noticed I have shiny face for Zoom calls.

The last few days' products have been great for me. Particularly enjoying this calendar at the moment.

Yes I got hydrating @SomethingAboutNothing which js what I would have chosen

I have been interested in trying the new(ish) Benefit hydrating primer but this might be good. I just haven't used any Sleek face products only brow pencils and that sort of thing.

@LarsErickssong Yes I might try it as I have used other vitamin c products which I have liked

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 18/12/2020 11:27

I’m happy with today’s primer (I got mattifying) as my Ordinary silicone one’s nearly finished. Incidentally don’t get silicone products on your contact lenses or you’re in for a blurry day!

OchonAgusOchonO · 19/12/2020 09:09

Today's mascara is always useful. Not one I've used before but the packaging is pretty.

chloechloe · 19/12/2020 10:07

Mascara will always get used. I’m seriously put off by the awful name of this though and terrible blurb on the box. I never would have bought it on that basis alone!

Butterymuffin · 19/12/2020 10:18

Agree all round, it's useful but has a stupid name! I have about 12 mascaras waiting to be used now. I know you're supposed to discard after 3 months, are other people good at sticking to that? I could be better Blush

OchonAgusOchonO · 19/12/2020 10:20

@chloechloe - I didn't read it. My eyes take a little while to wake up in the morningXmas Smile

OchonAgusOchonO · 19/12/2020 10:22

Yeah. It's pretty juvenile alright. Based on that I would have assumed aimed at a very young market.

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 19/12/2020 10:51

I don’t stick to the 3 month rule and haven’t had a problem so far (in 30 years of using mascara), could be pure luck though.

Current one so old the writing’s rubbed off Blush but I think it’s max factor feline. Have recently started a bobbi brown one from a different beauty box and I’m very impressed

OchonAgusOchonO · 19/12/2020 10:57

@Butterymuffin - I dump my mascara when it's finished. The one I'm currently using is going well over a year (no make-up wearing while wfh). I've never had a problem. I think it's a ploy to get you to buy more frequently.

AliceinBunniland · 19/12/2020 13:17

I'm happy with today's. I remembered this would be in but thought it was going to be full size. I might use this next as my current mascara is about done (and no I don't generally discard after 3 months)

chloechloe · 19/12/2020 14:20

I never discard mascara after 3 months, I usually chuck it when it’s starting to dry out or when it runs out. Even with near daily use I never get through a full size one in 3 months.

I’m currently in love with a mascara from another calendar i opened in November but don’t want to say what it is in case it spoils it for anyone! It’s amazing, a real surprise!

ferretface · 19/12/2020 15:17

I'm happy! Wasn't so keen on yesterday's because silicone primers seem to make me break out (my urban decay one is the same) so I can only use them very occasionally when I want a very smooth base. Might swap it.

OchonAgusOchonO · 20/12/2020 09:51

A two-in-one body wash/mask. Interesting concept. I've never used a body mask before.

AliceinBunniland · 20/12/2020 10:51

Today's seems okay

I will use it but I think this size product is quite small for a body product

I've used a body mask before @OchonAgusOchonO It was in a gift set by the Sanctuary and was like a mud mask that you put on before the shower and then washed off. It was nice but a bit of a faff to use. It wasn't a 2 in 1 like this so this one actually seems more user friendly as it sounds like you can just apply it in the shower like a body wash.

Have you opened your earlier doors Ochon or are you saving those for after Christmas?

OchonAgusOchonO · 20/12/2020 10:54

I'm opening them after Christmas. I did a quick check to see was there something in each drawer and there is, so all good.

chloechloe · 20/12/2020 17:26

I can’t see myself using this as a mask but it’ll get used as a body wash. I also had another Mio body wash which came as a freebie when I bought the calendar. I know the customer service has been terrible from LF, but I got an amazing goody bag when I bought the calendar with the body wash, 30ml Elemis marine cream, Elasticizer, Oskia Renaissance face gel and a couple of other bits, so I was super happy!

LarsErickssong · 20/12/2020 17:31

It's a real shame their customer service has let them down as I have been really happy with the calendar this year but unless they improve I would be reluctant to order it next year.
Today's product is nice enough, it will get used but nothing spectacular.

Butterymuffin · 20/12/2020 17:33

I also struggled with the concept of a body wash that's also a mask but I'll give it a go.

Thanks for all the mascara comments. Glad it's not just me who runs them for longer. Though I still may have to prompt myself to change them a little more often otherwise it'll take me 10 years to get through my stockpile.

SomethingAboutNothing · 20/12/2020 20:45

Agree that for a body product the size is very small but I like the concept of this product so will look forward to trying it out.

Directionerforever · 21/12/2020 09:16

Time-filler. Yep sign me up for that.

AliceinBunniland · 21/12/2020 10:05

What does everyone think of Filorga? I haven't really tried it. I got face cream and eye cream in a calendar or GWP but think I swapped them. I'll probably try it if it's just a face cream

Butterymuffin · 21/12/2020 10:05

Yes I can make use of this one!
