Like many others, I’m looking forward to starting my Beauty Advent Calendars on Tuesday. With no M&S calendar or thread this year, I thought it might be fun to have a general beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts about the calendar they are opening, whatever it is.

I suggest though we comment only on content from current or previous days, so as not to spoil the surprise for those opening one day at a time.

Skin tint from Lumene. Looks a bit pale for me. Iconic eye palette from CEW and white tea.

According to tracking, my calendar is out for delivery. Post is normally way earlier than this.

We're rural so it's a van for everything.

Another one totally over invested in these LF calendars! Now, are you actually going to save them for Jadvent or are you going to open 1-16 in one go as soon as they arrive I would totally do this as I wouldn't be able to stop myself and then just carry on as normal?

The Lumene skin tint looks lovely and lightweight but it's too dark for me so if there is anyone who is a cross between me and Ochon Grin who would like it I'm happy to post it on? I knew it would be too dark, I'm actually annoyed as it looks so nice but my skin is so pale it's like a piece of A4 paper Hmm and I have never been able to find a suitable tinted thing, even the NARS palest tinted moisturiser is too dark. Very annoying.

Well done An Post. Arrived in their sorting facility around 1am this morning and delivered by lunchtime.

@BuffaloMozzerella - hope yours arrives tomorrow.

@NorskSkogkatt - I haven't decided. I've opened today's and it's a serum. I like a good serum so happy with that. I may go from today and then continue at the beginning.

The dogs usually give advance warning of the post arriving but they were silent today, probably because they had already announced the dpd delivery containing their food.

Either way it's excellent value as they refunded me without me asking for it plus I got €121 credit as compensation (€56 initially, €20 as they didn't include the free gift I should have gotten when I spent that amount and €45 they seem to have given to everyone in Ireland whose calendars went astray).

They had asked me not to mention the initial amount of £50 as it was more than they were giving anyone else but I've since discovered on Twitter that they gave others more than that so have no qualms about mentioning the amount.

Save it until January and we can have a January LF opening thread! Grin I kept mine in the end, but didn't want to open two in one month so Look Fantastic is now Jadvent.

That's another option. Mind you, I could do both. Open this month, put the items backing in and re-open in january. I haven't a notion of remembering what's in it.

I know. And only 2 months after they first told me it would be shipped within 48 hours...

Fingers crossed for @BuffaloMozzerella's to arrive tomorrow. I have faith in An Post.
