General beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread

Like many others, I’m looking forward to starting my Beauty Advent Calendars on Tuesday. With no M&S calendar or thread this year, I thought it might be fun to have a general beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts about the calendar they are opening, whatever it is.

I suggest though we comment only on content from current or previous days, so as not to spoil the surprise for those opening one day at a time.

Place marking! I did Rituals in November to cheer up lockdown, but I have H&B and DD has Arran Aromatics for December. I also have Amazon Beauty but mulling whether to save that for January.

I have the H & B one too. Missing the M & S one!

@HotSince63 - a lot of people seem to have Cult Beauty so I'd say you'll have a dedicated thread too. But please stay here too. I debated the Cult Beauty but went got (spit) LF instead and am dying to see what ye're getting.

Just thinking - as we're all on different calendars, it would be nice if we posted photos so others could see what we got.

So excited as opening my F&M calendar, I took the bubble wrap off today.

I have Look Fantastic and Feel Unique though I might leave that until January

I gave Look Fantastic (sorry Ochon) and DD has H&B which she is starting one home from uni on Fri.

I am saving Lumene for Jan I think but I am fine with spoilers 😀

Ochon - I've just checked the Hermes delivery number they gave me and it's changed to say Hermes have got it

Mine still says delivered in September on lookfantastic but when I went on to Hermes, it says they have it too! Hermes reuse tracking numbers (which is why mine said delivered before I ordered it) but they'd hardly reuse that quickly would they?

Hopefully you and I will be on the jadvent thread with them

Definitely won't be here by Tuesday given the delays with An Post at the moment but I can live with that at this stage.

Although anything I've had delivered by an post recently has only taken an extra day or two so mightn't take too long.

I ordered the No7 one too so I have that one to keep me going. I know LF reuse numbers but I haven't got anything else coming so it must be it surely?

They got mine at 1.38 this morning.

I usually get the Beauty Box each month too. The Hermes site only ever updates to say once they've got it but no more updates after that - it then turns up a few days later 🤞🏼

Roll on 1st December! Unwrapped my Lumene and Fenwicks calendars this afternoon so they're ready to go!
