General beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread

Like many others, I’m looking forward to starting my Beauty Advent Calendars on Tuesday. With no M&S calendar or thread this year, I thought it might be fun to have a general beauty advent calendar discussion and swap thread. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts about the calendar they are opening, whatever it is.

I suggest though we comment only on content from current or previous days, so as not to spoil the surprise for those opening one day at a time.

I'm also a fan of black eyeliners but completely forgot about all the ones people would be wanting to swap and ordered a new one from Cult Beauty last week!

@usertemp1010 if you have the sea salt and freesia perfume I’d happily swap it for a Shay and Blue one!

I've got the Liberty one, which I'll be opening in December, and the ASOS one which I'm trying to save for horrible January

Just wondering would it make sense to have a separate swap thread? I don't know how busy this one will be, but if it is busy, offers for swaps might get lost.

Yes I'm up for that! It's completely unused as one squirt of the other one (in first bag I got) told me it wasn't for me.

Never done a swap before but presumably just dm me your address and I'll do same?

(If you want both of them for another swap of something you don't use then fire away! I'm really not fussed I'm just trying to get rid of my ridiculous amount of beauty amd skin care bits that are just sat in a drawer!)

Are we okay to talk about Lumene @diamondsandrose if you're not opening until Jadvent (love that word )

I love today's. Feels so nice at this time of year. I actually love DH as much as he bought it for me solely for the Moomin lip balm (I am obsessed with Moomins) but this range suits me as my skin is so thin and pale.

I’d love to join a swap thread- a word of caution, last year I swapped with someone who had unfortunately swapped the face oil for something else 🙁 which I knew as I’d used the product before.
I have swapped successfully for the past 2 years though.

Is there enough LIberty to justify separate discussion on it?

@NorskSkoggkatt I know that's the issue! I want to be on here and see what you guys got but then it will potentially spoil my Lumene Jadvent ! Aaagh

Other Jadvent people might have the same issue for various calendars that are planning on saving . Not sure what the solution is! Sadly I may need to bow out of this thread

I think, much as I would hate to spoil jadvent for anyone, the whole point of this thread is to discuss the contents of our calendar. Anyone doing jadvent can always go to the dedicated threads for calendars they don't have. There's definitely a CB and a LF thread and probably some others too.

Just opened mine. Very pleased with the F&M, not something I had tried before and lovely.
