My 30th is coming up in January & I would really like a nice ‘everyday’ necklace.

Please share your ideas/your pretty necklaces - I don’t really know what I want.

That’s what I want for Christmas, OP! I don’t know what I want either. Nothing too fancy.

CookieDoughKid · 25/11/2020 23:44

I recommend Ana Luisa layered necklace sets. Google it ;)

For my 40th, I got a Tiffany pendant (Frank Gehry, Hearts - no longer in production). It's very plain and simple, and 14 years on I still wear it at least 3 times a week. www.ebth.com/items/11345677-frank-gehry-for-tiffany-co-sterling-silver-heart-pendant-necklace

Things to consider: What sort of budget do you think you have? do you like silver or gold or rose gold? Do you want a pendant or a chain? If a pendant, do you want it on a cord or a chain? Do you want to be able to get matching items eventually?

The other present jewellery that I wear a lot is these earrings: us.marcobicego.com/products/lunaria-double-drop-earrings-ob1345y02 Before I got them, I wouldn't have said they were my style at all, but I absolutely love them.

Google Alex Monroe.

For every day, don't be tempted by gold vermeil or gold plate, it needs to be solid-metal as the plating will rub off over time.

For every day wear I have a very small rose gold disc, in a very fine chain, with my initials on it. The disc is no more than 8cm diameter. I think DH got it from Etsy...

Have a look at www.gemporia.com. So much choice, good price range. I have bought jewellery from them for the last 10 years. UK based & family owned company.

Wow thanks everyone so many recommendations. I shall have a good look at all these.

I don’t know whether to go for silver or gold. My engagement ring is white gold & my other ring is just a silver ring. I mean if I wanted gold can you wear a mixture of gold & silver together? Or will it look silly? I don’t really know.

I think silver is better

NeedToKnow101 · 26/11/2020 08:52

Personally I love mixing gold and silver! Sounds like you might prefer silver though going by your current rings

Pirisprinkles · 26/11/2020 09:01

I just treated myself to a small diamond/rose gold necklace and plan to wear it everyday.
It looks similar to this :

This brand was my first thought when I opened the thread! Fabulous jewellery

Laska2Meryls · 26/11/2020 10:26

Chambers and Beau are fab

AnnaFiveTowns · 26/11/2020 10:32

I think Etsy and Not on the high street have lovely necklaces and you can often customise them - so basically design your own necklace.

Tinks15 · 26/11/2020 11:35

@MagicMatilda yes always worn silver unsure whether I fancy a change though.

Tinks15 · 26/11/2020 11:37
