Mine :

Had endless blackheads on my nose since I was 12. Nothing works.

Facial hair. Chin. Lip. Now Neck too. Nothing works permanently. Always have at least one hair or bristly feel

Mascara, always end up with, from my right eye, black marks under the eye, eyelashes on that side have gone weird, really long, won't curl.

What do others struggle with.

Have you tried laser for the facial hair? What is your colouring?
And are you putting mascara on your lower eyelids?

My issue: sticky up bits of hair from top of my head. My hair is wavy, but didn't used to be frizzy. Guess it's age? Some are grey but not all. How can I tame them/slick them down? I have tried All The Serums.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 18:33

No I never put mascara on lower lashes just upper

Colouring is very fair, burn easily, hairs are jet black, PCOS

Had a full course of laser years ago, they eventually all came back and then some.

Having a secondary treatment at the moment that means I can't use an IPL at the moment

Years ago there was a trick in the teen mags for sticky up bits of hair it was to use tumble dryer sheets like Bounce on it, as like an anti static don't know if it works.

Greasy hair. There's no cure. Yes, there are hacks - dry shampoo, no SLS etc, but ultimately there's no cure.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 18:38

Yes this is me too I forgot to add Perma Greasy Scalp Sad

There are better shampoos and they tend to be the over £10 a bottle ones Sad

Re the greasy hair- I too am an oil slick sufferer. If I’ve washed my hair one day and know I won’t have time the next/ really can’t be bothered, I sprinkle talc on my hands and rub it into my roots when I go to bed. Soaks yo the grease 🤢 then some dry shampoo in the morning and it’s passable.

Gwenhwyfar · 30/10/2020 20:01

Yes, greasy hair.
Also dark circles under the eyes. I think the people who find 'cures' are those who have temporary ones due to lack of sleep or whatever. When you have permanent ones, nothing works. Nothing works on mine anyway. Just tried another 'miracle' concealer this evening that doesn't work.

DelphineWalsh · 30/10/2020 21:03

Hooded eyes. Absolutely no point in eye shadow or eye liner which I suppose saves a lot of time and money. Just means I don't really have a fun colourful look for going out out.

NameChange84 · 30/10/2020 21:07

Short frizzy baby hairs that will not be tamed and make me look slightly bonkers by springing up all over my hairline.

Big freckle on my lip that upsets me as it’s very noticeable (macular melanoma).

One eyebrow higher than the other and one hooded eye lid and one normal one. It’s hereditary as my Mum is the same but it seems less noticeable with her.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 21:12

They do plasma pen for hooded eyes now.

How do you put false eyelashes on? 😭 I've tried and failed for years. I've read various 'how to's' but I still can't do it, somebody must know a secret hack which will make it all fall into place for me!? Grin

Franticbutterfly · 30/10/2020 21:17

Broken thread veins on my skin. I had them microwaved (Veinwave) and they were gone and then they came back after a year or so, and the place that I have it done is a bit of a drive, and it's an expensive procedure and so I've never been back. No amount of topical product helps, and I look after my skin brilliantly...I just need to get my act together and get it done again.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 21:57

@bananabob

Can't you get magnetic ones now?

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit I've struggled with my eyelashes for years! They grow in all directions and mascara constantly flakes off despite trying many supposedly h if h end brands. I recently had them lifted and tinted and it's a total game changer. They have a lovely curl to them and the tint means I hardly bother with mascara. My aesthetician also pointed out that sleeping on my side was causing my eyelashes to grow in a funny direction so I've been making a real effort to sleep more on my back.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2020 22:41

Ooo I also sleep on my side 🤔

Regarding flaking and smudging mascara: try a tubing mascara! I used to have panda eyes after an hour, and tubing mascara just really works. There are loads of them on the market, such as Clinique Lash Power.

My beauty struggles are:
Hooded eye lids, one far more than the other. I don't actually mind that they are hooded and they aren't causing any issues other than the right one is less bad than the left, so I struggle with getting my eye makeup to look the same on both eyes.

I also have terribly dry skin on my lower legs, which I think results in ingrown hairs. I am useless at moisturising, no matter what I do to try to remember, I just don't.

I have curls just by my ears (the rest of my hair is straight and long), and that hair will not grow longer. It is impossible to do anything with it - too short to pin back, no amount of product will slick it down or straighten it, and I just look like I have big tufts of hair sticking out of my ears.

Ginfordinner · 31/10/2020 22:00

Another lockdown being announced the week before my cut and colour. This time DD isn't here to do my roots.

Graffitiqueen · 31/10/2020 22:05

@RiskIt4Biscuit have you tried Korean Italy cloths? They've worked wonders for my scaly lower legs

Lurkingforawhile · 31/10/2020 22:15

Various lumps around my eyes. I have skin tags (I think), a large milia (or spot), and xanthelasma. Also dark pigmentation around eyes.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/10/2020 22:17

Isnt Rosehip Oil supposed to be IT for pigmentation?

OP posts:
EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/10/2020 22:18

Any milia or skin tags can be got rid of by an aesthetician

CremantCharlie · 31/10/2020 22:23

@TheSpottedZebra For hairs that stick up, buy a small can of flexible hold hairspray, Elnett do one in white can. Plus a firm toothbrush. Spray hairspray on toothbrush bristles, then brush through hair. Most of the sticking up hairs should lie flat.

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 31/10/2020 22:27

My biggest beauty gripe is milia, I have lots on my cheeks. Had them removed before my wedding professionally but they have all come back, I Am always clean, never go to bed with make up on, exfoliate etc ☹️

HappyAnimals · 31/10/2020 22:28

Mine is suddenly bone dry, rough knees. Could strike a match off them

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/10/2020 22:30

I get lumps taken off and I have been told that if you suffer with it they will always come back no matter what you do. Shit isn't it?
