Mine :

Had endless blackheads on my nose since I was 12. Nothing works.

Facial hair. Chin. Lip. Now Neck too. Nothing works permanently. Always have at least one hair or bristly feel

Mascara, always end up with, from my right eye, black marks under the eye, eyelashes on that side have gone weird, really long, won't curl.

What do others struggle with.

Eyeliner on the top of my eyelid!! Grrr!! I've tried for years
I use a primer by Wet n Wild on my eyelids - it stops them getting greasy and so stops eyeliner transferring. It's cheap from Amazon and a little goes a long way.

@Turnedouttoes I haven't RTFT so unsure if already been suggested but I use hydrocortisone. No bleeding/soreness within 24 hours of first application and usually use it for about 3 days which by then usually they are completely healed.
I was first prescribed it as it isn't normally recommend for the face but since I know it works, if I need more I don't tell the pharmacist it's for my face or they won't sell it to me

Skin tags. I have hundreds of the little beggars, if not thousands. Once they separate into a stem they are easy to electrocauterise, but when they are flat it is harder without leaving a bigger scar.
Wish I knew why I have so many, and how to prevent them multiplying like gremlins.
Wonky eyes
White thick chin hairs

I have a ring like shadow around the base of my neck - not too noticable in real life but really shows up in photos (and Zoom, so I'm really aware of it now). I clean it, exfoliate it, but it won't go and just looks really dirty.

FizzyPink · 03/11/2020 13:22

Oohh thanks for that @TangBloodyFastic I have ordered some Daktarin but DP has lots of hydrocortisone in the house for his eczema so I’ll give that a go as well

justilou1 · 03/11/2020 20:45

@Turnedouttoes - the mouth thing is called angular cheilitis and it can be caused by Anaemia and/or B group vitamin deficiency. I’d ask for a blood test. It can be an early indicator of some cancers (especially stomach/gastric-related ones), so if they run in your family or if you have been more run down than ever, please discuss with GP - especially if you smoke.)

Syringomas. I have lots around my eyes. They seem to be spreading. I had some lasered off a few years ago but it left scarring. I have no idea how I'm ever going to get rid of them.

Oblomov20 · 04/11/2020 05:25

I have most of the above. Hooded eyes, crap eyebrows, hairy chin. Limp, fine, greasy hair. Awful.

Huelva94 · 07/11/2020 19:13

I have the same problem... Witch Hazel tends to work for me

Hi everyone!! 👋🏼

Mine are:

  • blackheads: not sure if I want a permanent solution though as I love squeezing them out
  • a mole that grows hairs: really annoying but again so satisfying when I pluck the fekkers out
  • greasy hair: dry shampoo just makes it worse. Think I will just have to resign myself to daily washing (which is probably what caused it in the first place!)
BlindAssassin1 · 08/11/2020 10:54

Scaly knees - maybe try exfoliating with a gentle acid, like Paula's Choice, or The Ordinary before moisturizing. Works well on dry feet too.
Mine are:

Nail varnish that chips within the hour - I sit and wait for each layer to dry. I've used cheap Primark stuff and right now Essie colours, doesnt' make a difference. Why?!! I had a proper gel nail manicure that I was assured would last 2 weeks. It lasted 24 hours and peeled off.

Also nice flicky cat eyeliner and a smokey eye shadow - every time I give it a go DP tells me I look like a clown. I can do a perfect line on DD though. See also, red lipstick.

Gwenhwyfar · 08/11/2020 13:14

Double chin. Is there anything that can be done? I'm fed up of seeing myself on Zoom with a double chin and a turkey neck.
I'm pretty happy with my weight so wouldn't want to lose more than a couple of pounds anyway. Not sure that would even sort it?
Facial exercises?

Standrewsschool · 08/11/2020 13:21

Great thread. My banes are:

  1. wrinkles above lips (‘smokers lines’ - but have never smoked)
  2. warts - two large ones and one small one developed on my finger in last few months
  3. warts on face - also developing - or permanent spots/lumps

What does witch hazel work for?
