Low cut jeans
Pastel colours

LaurieFairyCake · 29/10/2020 07:10

Heels (what a waste of money the 40 pairs I have)

Skirts - just can't walk in them

Oversized - look as if I have loads more fat

I've NEVER worn shorts in my life - even at 8 stone I was 'too chubby' for them

StarlightLady · 29/10/2020 07:40

To add to my previous comment:

High waisted trousers;

Anything overly baggy.

Maireas · 29/10/2020 09:30

Chunky/statement jewellery. I don't look like Prue Leith, I look like I've crashed into the jewellery stand at Oxfam.

BreakfastOfWaffles · 29/10/2020 09:33

Acrylic jumpers
Skirts above the knee
Spaghetti straps

NastyBlouse · 29/10/2020 09:39

Pastel colours or light grey marl (wash me out)
Polo/roll-necks (make me look like Jazz Club guy from the Fast Show)
Doc Martens
99% of denim. Pocket/bum ratio issues.
Hi-tops

Woolly hat in winter - just ruin my hair and make me all sweaty Angry
High heels - make my legs look amazing but I just don't have the coordination to walk in them, I end up stumbling around like Bambi on ice
Body con dresses - too pear shaped to pull them off successfully. Instead I need something that's quite fitted around my bust and nipped in at the waist then fit and flare style on the bottom to skim over my hips and bum

XingMing · 29/10/2020 13:50

Anything with raglan sleeves, polo necks, and breast pockets is to be avoided.

XingMing · 29/10/2020 13:51

Pale blue makes me look dead-ish.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 29/10/2020 15:35

Skinny jeans/trousers/leggings. I'm slim but they make my thighs look bigger and my calves shapeless and thin, plus they accentuate my wonkey legs which I hate.

Anything strapless. I like my tits, think they look pretty good when I'm naked, but strapless tops are so unflattering on me and make me look flat chested and an odd shape Confused

RustySpringboard · 29/10/2020 17:01

Anything sleeveless or with very short sleeves. Tipped over into my 60s and suddenly ( or so it seems!) - the dreaded crinkly, wrinkly upper arms have arrived....
(Bikini knickers, short or crop tops and very high heels all went quite a few years ago ...)

PearlyPear · 29/10/2020 17:41

Strappy tops (for going out/evening wear). Ok only on summer tops on very hot days as it's weather appropriate).

Strapless bras - I used to suffer them in order to wear a certain dress or top, but as I am a DD cup the decent ones that actually hold you up do so by digging into the ribcage. So very uncomfortable. I can't/won't do that any more.

Knee high boots for night. Day/outdoors type fine but "glamorous" knee highs... no.

Bare legs unless with a midi length skirt/dress.

Small knickers. I like the shorts type.

Blusher in the daytime. A tiny tiny bit at night looks ok. As I wear eye makeup, blusher as well in the day is too much so in choosing between the two, I choose eyes.

Black kohl eyeliner Sad I used to line my waterline and eyelash line, put on a bit of mascara and it'd look amazing. Now it just sits so obviously on my eyes and if I smudge it to blend the line, I look tired, not all sexy smoky eyes. It unfortunately blends into my dark under-eye circles, that's why.

Strapless tops and dresses. Not only because of the strapless bra element but also because I have permanent darker bra strap lines (dry skin presumably?) no matter how much I exfoliate and moisturise.

3/4 trousers. They didn't flatter me then and they are even worse now.

Acrylic. No matter how cute the jumper. I just can't. Shame that many a pretty Christmas jumper is made from acrylic.

Echobelly · 29/10/2020 17:44

Anything empire-line - I look pregnant

Tight t-shirts - I look pregnant

Cropped tops - tbf could only just get away with it pre-kids

chunkyrun · 29/10/2020 17:48

Polyester
Fast fashion
Low rise jeans
Heels
Flats

MissPymsDayOut · 29/10/2020 17:48

Mini skirts. Slightly above the knee looks nice but that's my limit. And only when worn with tights in winter.

Shorts. I'm thin but I've got cellulite above my knees and it never shifts and feel self conscious and it pisses me off to see it.

Bikinis. That said, I never wore one as a teen or in my twenties either. Body was beautiful back then but I was always too shy for all that malarkey. I can't think of anything worse than being the centre of attention.

Polo neck jumpers. They used to work really well for me but just look weird and make me look uglier now.

Jeans. I just don't like them. I never really liked them when they were my student uniform in the noughties. 99% of all jeans look like shit to me, it's rare I see anyone they really look good on.

Little fabric book bags/shopper bags. I used to love them and have loads, these days I'd rather just have 2 really good expensive bags.

PatchworkElmer · 29/10/2020 17:51

Peg trousers

Thankssomuch · 29/10/2020 18:08

Very short shorts ( too old)
Mini skirts ( same reason)
Really baggy or loose things - I suit fitted
Anything body -con (yuk)
Very fancy tiny underwear
Anything showing off the upper arm

Bluefargo · 29/10/2020 18:36

High heels
High necks
Bikinis

ImaSababa · 29/10/2020 18:57

Skinny jeans. My hips spread after having DD, so I look like an actual turnip.

ultrababy · 29/10/2020 19:04

Pleated midi skirts. You really need to have a waist to make them a success. Although slim I’m very much potato shaped and they look horrendous which is a shame as I love that look.

LoveFall · 29/10/2020 19:42

Cosy pajamas. Cotton nightdress all the way or I turn into a boiled chicken in bed. I fondly remember my cosy days. Now it's just sweaty. Sigh.

ViciousJackdaw · 30/10/2020 01:35

Agreed about pyjamas, it has to be a cotton nightie else I wake up absolutely drenched. Bloomin' peri...

Any jewellery with a clasp, also rings. Rheumatoid arthritis has turned my hands into what I can only describe as tree roots.

I sound ancient don't I - I'm only 44 Sad

fiddlerjo · 30/10/2020 01:42

I choose not to wear anything that isn't cotton

Zenithbear · 30/10/2020 06:47

High waisted jeans.
Pastels, neon, bright colours. Worst colours on me are pale blue and blush pink.
Slip on shoes-might as well be called slip off.
Anything baggy.
Trainers. They look awful on me so I only wear them for exercise only.
