Beauty Advent Calendars 2020 part 3

The hunt continues! We await Black Friday developments.

Looking at the M&S one, I have at least five of those items/brands already which must have come from M&S advent calendar in previous years . The only one I still regularly buy is Philip Kingsley.

Just got a response to my request for an update from LF. It will take up to 72 hours for them to get a response from the warehouse.

All fine (well, not really, but at least they are doing something) but the guy who sent the message addressed me as "Good morning lovely". No offence intended I'm sure, but it felt very slimy. I did respond and say I was not comfortable with being addressed as "lovely" and to please use my name or nothing.

Oooh dh bought me the glossybox one for my birthday tomorrow but he is insisting that I have to open it all in one go or it’s not a birthday present . So now I’m really tempted to get another one for actual December opening but most are sold out. I was thinking MAC but it doesn’t look as good value as most of the others. I understand this is a complete first world problem but any recommendations for ones that are still in stock..? I prefer make up heavy ones, I have enough skincare to sort three faces for the rest of my days...

Madness. If it's a birthday present, you get to enjoy it as you see fit, and if that means opening one box a day for a month, so be it!

My two are both birthday presents. They will be treated as daily treats for a couple of months.

M&S gwp is out today. Beauty Edit box for £20 with £30 of qualifying spend.

😂 At least it's different from the usual Ruby or Topaz I guess. I bought a few of the Jo Loves paintbrushes for friends for Christmas and got the beauty bag.

The Beauty Box is a round up of frequently seen items. I already have the Nuxe, the Living Proof, many other Percy and Reed which don't do anything anyway, the Eyeko, and the Philip Kingsley. I also don't like that it's one of two Prai items - I think in a box like this you should know exactly what you'll get. So I'll pass.

If I never see Living Proof, Percy and Reed and Eyeko again it will be too soon. A definite hard pass.

My Look Fantastic calendar has arrived today it’s taken just over a week, dispatched last Monday but was sent from Europe. It’s heavier than I expected, looks good. I’ve put it away until December

I am not going to get M&S beauty box because none of the products appeal me.

Cult Beauty GWP is out now

My LF has arrived today! I may have felt inside one of the big boxes and was rather surprised that a tiny item was inside. It’s now under my desk with two AC friends

yoga your post made me laugh as I have OCD about getting a shampoo without the matching conditioner or vice versa. And I’ve also wondered many a time if that Living Proof 5 in 1 stuff does anything - I knew exactly what product you were talking about before I’d looked at the M&S box contents!

You naughty ladies nearly tempted me with the Cult Beauty GWP, however that palette has really put me off. The palette in the AC was also the killer for me too. Can’t imagine anyone using either of them.

What do we think of the Cult Beauty GWP?
Personally the green eyeshadow is a plus not a negative for me as I think it looks great.

But there’s a lot of masks. I’m not sure it’s worth the over £400 that they say...

I don't think it is worth that amount. I think this is the same as with some of the advent calendars and I like Cospetopia's take on this which is by only counting the full size items or generous smaller size eg 50% full size.

Asper, the Cult Beauty box GWP looks very nice, but I'm not spending £180 on other stuff to get it. Agree about the look of the green eyeshadow, though, very pretty, but would go to my preteen DD anyway.

The M&S box looks like the same old, same old stuff they put in the M&S calendars every year. Not very exciting or worth spending £50 in store for on top of it. I always struggle to hit the purchase price at M&S anyway, wait to order socks, pjs, thermals etc for it.

Yes there’s a couple of things I want that I’d get in order to get CB GWP but they don’t stock those brands.

Tbh the GWP does look rather nice though. I’m wavering...

I just got the Cult Beauty GWP it was actually that green pallete that was the clincher for me I don’t suit the warm reddy colors we usually get at all. I can see it’s quite decisive got a few Christmas presents to make up the spend so pretty happy with this

Same here Shrimp. I could have picked out a few more things I think as well...have a few in-laws still to buy for. I am curious to see the Space NK GWP when it comes.

No sign of my LF calendar 11 days after it was despatched. Royal Mail tracking is still saying that they haven't received it.

I've ordered the M&S alternative to the advent calendar today. £20 when spending £30 in clothes, beauty and something else. Maybe home stuff. It says what one gets in it but please, no spoilers as I've purposely not looked too closely.

I didn’t post them but I think it’s fair enough that someone did and that we’ve discussed contents of the Cult Beauty GAP. These collections aren’t advent calendars, they’re not concealed and meant to be opened on a day by day basis. I completely agree about no spoilers for advent calendars but no spoilers for GWPs is silly imo.

Would you be able to avoid posts about the GWPs @SunshineCake? I don't think anyone wants to spoil it for you but I also think it's different to "spoiling" an advent calendar, unless we all agree to only discuss advent calendars here but that would be a shame!

Anyone who has got their LF advent calendar, did you get a text from Royal Mail? I just got one saying my international package will be delivered on Thursday and I wonder if it's that or my velvetiser...

Yh I got a RM text but it spoke about "your parcel from lf international" so that was a clue!

Oh it does day If I completely missed that and didn't realise what it was!

😂😂 it's not v obvious, LF would surely be better! At first I read it as "if"!
