I've sent an angry email to LF expressing how I feel with lots of capital letters and ????!!!!! - not that I expect it to make any difference but it made me feel momentarily better.

I'm extra pissed off because I ordered a pair of novelty socks for my DP for Xmas from a company based in the EU and I've just received a tracking link for China Post.. so that won't be here for Xmas then AngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

Ochon, no duty needed to be paid. It was on offer when I ordered (£101 rather than c£125). I’m not sure if it is still on offer, but if not it’s very likely it will be again for Black Friday.

@AprilLady - that's odd about the duty. Maybe they paid it? Or maybe UK limits are much higher than here in Ireland.

Ochon, Skinstore is actually owned by LF, which is headquartered in the U.K. The outer packaging was actually a Lookfantastic box, so I think it may be considered a sale to a U.K. resident by a U.K. company, even though is being shipped from the US.

Oops I ballsed that up - you get the gist.

I honestly think they just allocated a tracking no to the order and nothing further. No actual calendar.

That's poor. I would reply and ask what they plan to do to compensate you for the item being unlikely to arrive by 1st December which is the point of having it. They could at least send you a free monthly box or something.

That's really weird. They were claiming all along that there were so many it was taking ages to ship them but yet they are saying yours is a replacement and that it hasn't been dispatched despite you being told it has.

I honestly think they just allocated a tracking no to the order and nothing further. No actual calendar.

I'm starting to think you're right. It's been showing Processed as the status since last thursday.

I read that companies can just allocate a spare shipping number to an order - but it doesn't mean the package actually exists or has left yet.

I also get the monthly beauty box which is delivered by Hermes. Every month I get a dispatch email with a link but Hermes doesn't register that they've received the package until few days later. Sometimes the tracking number doesn't give any information at all.

Oh I've had another email now with a new tracking no (for Hermes this time, not Landmark) now saying it's coming between 23-25 Nov.

Just coming on to tell you the same. Have you clicked on the "Track your order" button in the email? According to that, it was delivered on 2/9. I didn't order the bloody thing until 4/9 so that would be some achievement.

Apparently I (and presumably @BuffaloMozzerella) have 2 calendars now winging their way to Ireland. Next instalment (War and Peace has nothing on this):

Ochon you couldn’t make it up! If it was fiction it would be criticised for being too farfetched to be true. Hope you do eventually get 2 calendars (and I certainly wouldn’t inform them if you did..)

What a nightmare. I have been ordering (too much) from Skinstore, Selfridges, Space NK, Cult Beauty in recent months/weeks and I am shocked how quick deliveries are. Selfridges delivered week before what they said they will. All delivered to Ireland

The only issue I had was with LIberty and they were nightmare to get hold off but really made it right with % and resend the advent once I got someone to help. I would shop with them again for sure after the resolution

I was trying to say I am shocked how bad LF are this year. I would imagine one of their distribution centers was hit by covid restrictions and they can't keep up the regular speed. No excuse really, getting advent on 3rd of December is far from ideal and they need to deal with upset customers better

I agree. They are absolutely appalling.

If it was a covid issue and they were just up front about it, I think we would all have some level of sympathy and understanding. But the promises to ship and then not shipping, telling me it's out of stock and I won't get one at all and then changing their mind, and then the latest of appearing to create a bogus shipping number, just seems to be utterly incompetent. Every other company I've dealt with lately has been fine in terms of delivery.
