There is hope ladies, after more than a week of waiting since "should be with you on 12 Oct" my LF arrived today and it looks lovely. Even DS2 was impressed.

They will come!

What went into a Black Friday deal last year? I don't need another one, but I could be tempted if there's something good and it's a really good deal...

Also like the look of the Grazia one - I reckon is use most of the products in it. But after DH's "did you really spend over £200 on an advent calendar?" comment, I should probably hold off on another pricey one!

Harrods went to half price on around 10th December - but not for long!

Thanks for the new thread! You’re all such enablers, I had to go and look at the Grazia one. I have 4 or 5 of the products though so no temptation there.

I have Liberty and Lumene sat under my home office desk (and LF who knows where) and am desperate to open them.

I might open Lumene in November - I reckon we could get a few people together for an early opening thread!?

In my defence I’m running out of cleanser and amazingly don’t have any in my stash so surely that’s a good enough excuse.

Count me in for that. Although I am a bit nervous that I won't get my LF one for December. Ah well, worst case, I will have a tea calendar. I bought a mixed box from my favourite supplier and I will get dh to put a different teabag in for each day.

solarisbotanicals.com/products/solaris-collection-14-flavours-42-org-biodegradable-stitched-teabags-sr15 if anyone is interested. I usually buy their tea loose but find the bags handy for out and about as I am very fussy about my tea.

Checking in!

I think the Grazia one looks overpriced.

The 12 day ones have IMO been a sneaky way of pushing prices up this year. They often seem like they're asking a lot for half the number of items, even if they're supposedly full size etc. The Autograph 12 day one is £70, and says it's 'luxury' but doesn't for me compare favourably with the standard M&S where you got double the items for less money - or about the same with the qualifying spend, but in that case you'd have those items too...

My Look Fantastic one arrived today! Now just need to decide whether to give it to DD, or keep it for January (or November!) Grin

Yes I agree @ButteryMuffin

My Look Fantastic calendar also arrived today. I’m saving it for December. I’ve already opened and started my Liberty and Fenwick’s ones Blush

And I had no choice but to open my Holland & Barrett one because there was an item missing and H&B needed to know what the product was, they couldn’t tell from the door number Hmm

I will still be joining the Liberty & H&B threads. I haven’t individually opened the vast majority of the products.

My estimated delivery for LF was yesterday or today but it has not arrived and Royal Mail tracking suggests they don't have it

Is the Holland & Barret one nice please @AsPerMyLastEmail ?

I would really like something this year but I'm on a very tight budget

I wondered if Aldi might do one again, but I've seen nothing to suggest ?

@EatPrayYoga my LK was scheduled for delivery Wed or Thurs but was delivered today, so hopefully yours is likewise 2-3 days behind schedule.

@52andblue I think it’s v good for the price! Hopefully given the nature of H&Bvit’s not a spoiler to say it’s focused on skin, hair and body. If you want a box that includes several make up products too, this isn’t it.

I’ve had a text to say that RM now have my LF calendar! So there is hope yet!

Am I the only one whose LF hasn't shipped yet?

I complained to LF on Thursday that I hadn't had my calendar despite it being 'dispatched' on 12th October. I got a reply yesterday saying they were contacting their courier team. I got a message from Royal Mail this morning to say it will be delivered on Monday afternoon.

Mine is still saying Order Placed and no hint of processing, never mind dispatching.

I'll be tempted to get Harrods if a Black Friday offer.

Yours might be a few days behind Ochon

I'm waiting for two packages at the moment - my LF calendar and the Hotel Chocolat velvetiser Grin

@52andblue Aldi are doing their 6 day Countdown to NYE calendar again and are advertising it as down from last year's 14.99 to 6.99! Goes on sale online 17 November, in store 21 November.

www.aldi.co.uk/countdown-to-NYE-calendar

Other than that, which is definitely the tight budget option, I would keep a close eye on Black Friday deals. Amazon sold out of theirs before then last year, but in 2018 they dropped to £30 on Black Friday weekend which is when I bought one.

I've accidentally bought Elemis, L'occitane, John Lewis and Asos! I'm still eyeing up Liberty and Rituals! I was keen for Diptyque but there isn't even one full sized candle! I'm holding out for Black Friday

Hopefully, Yoga.

Hotel Chocolat velvetiser sounds good. But I really don't need any more kitchen appliances Grin

@lolacola77 I keep looking at Diptque as well. I think I prefer Neom candles though, so might get their Christmas trio travel size set.

The aldi one is a good buy if the products are good. Have any of you tried them?

@OchonAgusOchonO Since when is it about need?! Grin DH is disgusted that I'm buying "a whisk" Hmm but I don't drink tea or coffee so I'm excited about something that allows me to make hot chocolate easily as I tend not to make them at home

There was a video I watched on YouTube last night about different beauty advent calendars. Sheer luxe or something,"? I could be making that up!

@52andblue on the budget front, Asos 12 day calendar is still available for £35 and, despite what I said earlier, is one of the less ridiculously priced of the 12 day ones with decent products. You can do a 4 x £8.32 interest free payments if that was helpful to anyone.
