The hunt continues! We await Black Friday developments.

Yippeeee my velvetiser is coming today when I ordered estimated delivery was 3rd November so I'm very impressed, much better than LF!

I've got the Elle one, I've been opening it already and am happy with it (though I did vet the contents before buying). The design is uninspiring though, to say the least. I might get another one if they go on sale for Black Friday, maybe ASOS if it's still available.

I got the Molton Brown one but I don't know if I can wait til December. So I am tempted to get another one but this time make up or perfume but I don't want to spend over £100. Any recommendations? I'm not fussed for makeup calendars that include skin care. I just want proper makeup and branded (not stuff I've never heard of).

Im also keen to get a calendar to open in January. I’ve Liberty for December.
I’m tempted by Clarins but only 12 days and it has a black eye liner in ..

foilflower I really like the velvetiser. I had a hot choc yesterday morning and evening and now wondering if it's too soon to have another My set came with lattes as well so I might try one of those with some chocolates late in. It does something I couldn't do myself but look out for a deal as HC does 20% off etc.

Thanks, yes I would definitely use a code after seeing that they’ve done various deals. I have hot chocolate every evening but I’ve been quite happy with the instant ones in water so it would become a new expensive habit!

CB nailed it with lovely face serums/treatments but the makeup is not as good this year.

foilflower what hot choc do you usually but? Whilst I love the velvetiser I sometimes prefer a sweeter hot choc than theirs but maybe I'm just a sugar addict.

My calendar has arrived and it looks fantastic

I like the idea of the velvetiser but am not keen on feeding the kids regular sugar in drinks...

I’m easily pleased and although many people slate them I like the Cadbury or Galaxy instant ones for drinking on a daily basis. I’m not a massive fan of milk though which is probably why they taste ok to me (the only time I’m ok with it is in hot chocolate).

I don’t give it to the kids herecomesthesun but they’re in bed by 7pm so they’re none the wiser about my evening treat!

DH loves the Cadbury ones with water.

I couldn't persuade him to try a hot choc last night. You can put water in the velvetiser but not sure if you can velvetiser water. The milk gets frothy which is quite nice.

Yes I don’t think water would work! Do you think skimmed milk would?

What is the temperature like? The hot chocolate at my local Starbucks is never hot enough for me.

@foilflower You can use any type of milk. I use semi skimmed and it gives a nice froth. It is not boiling hot and I worried about this as I always ask for starbucks drinks "extra hot" but it is hot enough for me and they recommend pouring hot water in the cup first to heat it more

I've been inspired by this thread to get the Velvetiser for my daughter for Christmas. I got a little booklet in the Skinstore parcel that gives me money off coupons for it. I really need to start buying presents soon for family/friends. I always feel like we are on the countdown once Halloween is past.

I didn’t know about the Skinstore calendar, which is just as well as it looks great and I may have bought it.
