How many coats do we think she has?

It's a very autumnal/ brown card.
Lovely family photo but not very festive/ Christmassy.
Fun antlers or red hats / red and green clothing would be more appropriate.
After all she's the Queen of Literal Dressing

For some people they can never win.

I think it’s a political card- a picture of them in the woods (the one place we’ve all been able to go all year!), wearing what appear to be non showy clothes is probably wise.

I agree though I prefer to see them out and about enjoying themselves and giving me something to look at/talk about so funny hats and levity would go down well here but they have to try and appease the less easily pleased!

Kate must have to consciously exercise restraint over Christmas as we know her love of literal dressing
It's a lovely, happy, family card. Not pretentious or too styled.

I think they play it safe as much as they can re: images of them as a family. No gold pianos in the background for them

They could wear ruby and diamond encrusted antlers? That would give us some bling to cheer us up

Loving the xmas bling

When things are back to normal and we have fashion to talk about again we will look back on this time and be proud we kept this thread going though this time by talking utter bollocks It's brilliant!

My Crown journey: I've arrived at the miner's strike and then the meeting Diana for the first time episodes and into living memory for me. The UK looks so bloody grey and bleak! I'm aware they are using the weather to up the contrast between the UK and the Caribbean for the Margret story, and to highlight the bleakness of the politics at the time, but ye gods! There were some lovely really long hot summers as a kid in the late 70s/early 80s. Wasn't there?!

The clothes are fascinating. Watching Anne's fashions move out of 60s 70s and into 80s is interesting. The Queen is starting to stick to the quite dowdy (for her age at the time) pastel coat and hat ensembles.

One of my DDs (21) who is watching it with me said ''Ah - she's old now - look at her clothes - what's the year?''. And we worked it out and HM would still only have been late 40s early 50s. She really has been wearing the same style of outfit for yonks!

To be honest, 2020 has killed off most of my brain and nearly all my thoughts, and all I'm fit for now is chatting Good Utter Bollocks!

Here we have the DoS appearing in CNN's annual Heroes TV special. I really like these colours on her, especially the lipstick. Can't seem to find a shot showing what she's wearing on her bottom half.
