Seychelles I will be going bare legged as I also find it too hot in the house

Each to their own but I find the idea of dressing up in the house really weird. What do people wear on their feet? I can't imagine sitting in my own lounge in heels!

SoMuchToBits · 07/10/2020 23:53

Probably my work uniform, like last year...

Defender90 · 07/10/2020 23:57

As a child we always dressed up, the whole family did.

As an adult (who runs warm) you'll get me the way I am. Usually jeans and a vest whether I'm cooking or visiting.

This year. I'm betting I can go the whole day in my comfies.

JaceLancs · 08/10/2020 00:32

@Starheart
This is dress it’s from Fenn Wright Manson
I’ll be wearing with opaques n boots or slippers!

I was hoping for a Santa dress 😂

If it makes you happy, why not 🤷‍♂️

I like a bit of sparkle mixed with comfort and I'm usually fairly festively adorned in several ways. I ♥ Christmas

CakeInMyFace · 08/10/2020 07:10

I quite fancy getting a comfy loungey jumpsuit so if anyone sees any let me know! I like the look of the sweaty Betty gary one but it is £££££!

Beautiful dress though OP.

Oldraver · 08/10/2020 08:32

We usually wear pj's during the day, then I get dressed for dinner. I have two Christmas dresses I can choose from

Lucked · 08/10/2020 10:56

@westr

Pure collection does lovely sequin skirts they have some in the sale down to £30.

westr · 08/10/2020 13:37

Thanks lucked! I've just seen one in the all saints sale as well (although it's expensive)

Horsemad · 08/10/2020 18:03

I'll be wearing jeans and a long sleeve t shirt. Nice & comfy. 🙂

I'm just wondering what it will be like on NYE if the pubs are still closing at 10pm!

lazylinguist · 08/10/2020 18:08

Looks more NYE than Christmas Day tbh. I'm not averse to a vaguely smart Christmas Day, but daytime smartish, not evening wear. Definitely not pyjamas!

Imissmoominmama · 08/10/2020 18:12

I think it’s lovely OP, and to those who think you’ll be cold- don’t you all have heating?

I’m not a Christmas fan myself, so my attire will be walking boots and a coat (with other clothes, obvs Grin). Whatever gets you through is good!

Savemyusername · 08/10/2020 22:30

I think it would be lovely if you were a guest somewhere posh but I personally couldn’t cook in that.

BeaLola · 08/10/2020 22:49

Lovely dresses on here. I always dress smartly - wouldn't want to wear my lounging around stuff as it's Christmas Day - I like a smarting dress or silky top and draped skirt . Always wear a bit more than everyday make up -it's an occasion

To the poster who asked re shoes - I have whatever I want to wear with my outfit in hall for going outside - over to neighbours , saying goodbye to guests and then usually just in my tights - I have slippers but very rarely wear them - our house is mostly carpeted & we will have a log fire (hence no Xmas jumper)

If I see anything nice online between now and Christmas I will be buying something new

Parker231 · 09/10/2020 06:08

This thread has reminded me to buy new pj’s for Christmas Day. I don’t want Christmas themed ones but something really comfy and luxurious. It’s a real treat to have the time on Christmas Day to lounge around and not have to go anywhere.

Codexdivinchi · 09/10/2020 06:16

Go for it. We’re hopefully eating out this year and we will be dressing up.

Marmite27 · 09/10/2020 06:17

I’ve just had some candy cane leggings delivered, so those and a Christmas jumper

AuntieMarys · 09/10/2020 06:21

Walking clothes in the morning...6 mile walk planned in glorious countryside.

Then out to eat about 4....no idea what I shall wear. It won't be a dress or skirt as I don't wear them

katienana · 09/10/2020 06:22

Question for pyjama people, do you just stay in your pjs or do you shower and dress into clean ones? What if kids get bikes or scooters? What if you have a dog? Or is it more like a figure of speech and its more like joggers than pjs?
I get dressed up, full make up etc!

violetbunny · 09/10/2020 06:54

I'll be wearing shorts and a tshirt

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 09/10/2020 07:24

I am normally slob central on Christmas day, but this year I'm giving it full glam.

WoobyWoo · 09/10/2020 07:27

I like getting dressed up for Christmas Day too, even though we don’t usually venture further than the pub at the end of the street or over to the in-laws! I might still make an effort this year, will see! Looks lovely op!

Supercafragalisticexpialidocio · 09/10/2020 08:17

@Lardlizard
I am new on here and " frightened" to post, but I saw your remarks about OTT table decs and knew that this was my moment:

What will you be wearing Xmas day ? I’m thinking of this ? What do you think ?

A new loungewear set is as dressed as I get at home to be honest!
