Best time of the beauty year.

Actually it’s almost entirely make up and perfume, for those looking to avoid skin and hair care products.

I got Look Fantastic but the other one I was tempted by was Elle

The Jo Loves one looks great but it’s £££
I also think the perfumes I’ve tried although lovely, don’t last long.

What is Jo Loves like? I know the relation to Jo Malone but is it similar kind of scents? I've never come across them in person

Caved. Ordered a second calendar, the Fenwick beauty calendar which also gets me the current Fenwick beauty bag. After comparing it to John Lewis, and Selfridge advent contents, I reckon Fenwicks is a better mach for new things (to me) I'd like to try.

I had the Arran calendar last year. Lovey scents, but I'll admit I was a bit disappointed by the sizes for some reason. Think I expected a bit more size-wise for shower gels and body lotions.

How about a 12 day makeup brush calender? I love the packaging - would probably be good storage for brushes.

I've just had a text from DPD that my lLiberty calandra will be delivered today ( still haven't had anything from Liberty to say my order was successful , looks like it was though! )

@LoveEatYoga I think similar to how making, perhaps a bit fresher rather than floral. I think the real downside is the fragrances don’t last imo.
I love pink vevetier- I like to find a dupe I think, it’s a lot of money for something that doesn’t linger.

Thanks Pomegranate I suppose it's hard buying anything fragrance related if you have zero experience of the brand not that I need another one anyway

Chanel coco mademoiselle - like this but it’s quite heavy, a night out perfume
Tom Ford - neroli portofino - love this, IMO a summmer fragrance. Think it’s unisex. I purchased ‘tis with the idea of wafting around gracefully on our summer hols .., Of course that didn’t happen !
Jo Malone - peony and blush, nice light autumn scent.

Have you smelled La Vie Est Belle? I quite like that and it reminds me of Coco Madamoiselle in a way that it's a similarly sweet and gentle sort of fragrance

I did get a sample of Narciso ambree- I’m keen to try that again too. It’s a sort of powdery musky scent - if that’s makes sense .

Yeah I think I know what you mean. I haven't smelled that though

I also like the Armani ones such as Si and Because it's you. And the original Prada Candy. So I like quite sweet fragrances but the La Vie Est Belle is a bit softer.

I sometimes try to get a few of my favourites in the January sales but I don't think I need any perfumes atm.

That reminds me I've got a Just Cavalli perfume someone got me as a gift and I never opened it in case I didn't like it. I planned to try a tester but never got around to it

I think I'm a bit fussy with fragrances for myself... I know what I like.

Help. Totally stuck between Liberty and space NK. Which one should I get?

I do have sensitive skin so not too fussed on complex skin care!

Is the Liberty one even available?

That would be a tough decision between those two: I love the Liberty box, it's beautiful, but almost entirely skincare based; I only see one item of makeup? If you're after variety, I think the Space NK line up has a mix of make up and skincare products,

Personal preference really. I generally prefer more-skin care based products, but I do like a bit of makeup and lip stuff, too. Ideally, I'd want the Space NK line up in the Liberty box if those were my two choices.

I am interested in both Jos but they are so expensive.

I like Mugler Angel but it doesn't last. I also like Britney Spears midnight fantasy. That's sort of cost effective everyday smell.

I love Bulgari perfumes and find they last really well.
