This is one of the things putting me off the CB one - that you have to be lucky to get hold of it. Maybe they’ll produce more this year. Fingers crossed for all of you holding out for it!

AsPerMyLastEmail · 09/10/2020 13:03

I think with Cult Beauty last year there was the novelty factor of it being the first time. Plus it was a cracking line up of things that mostly weren’t in other Beauty calendars.

I said on the previous thread that I’m not getting CB this year because there’s some repetition with last year’s with a couple of items and with many of the brands. However I am wavering precisely because I really did love all of those items abs brands so know I will get use of them...

...in 2025 when I’ve finally finished all the products I got in the trazillion other beauty calendars and GWPs I’ve recently ordered Blush

TheQuietWoman · 09/10/2020 13:05

I loved the CB last year but I don't want or need the make up items so won't be going for it this year. Last year though it was my favourite.

Extracurricularfatigue · 09/10/2020 13:39

The most expensive product in last year's CB is in 4/5 of the high end calendars this year I noticed.

SophocIestheFox · 09/10/2020 13:53

Oh gawd, I just bought the l’Occitane one now 😬

If you spend over £50, you get an almond gift set with the code TREAT, over £100 and you get a “green” gift set (also has almond stuff in it, plus other stuff) with the code GREEN.

Can’t believe how quickly I fell after I opened this thread 🤣 zero willpower.

The Sniph calendar is for sale. Too much face/body creams. I was only interested in their fragrances.

Dailyhandtowelwash · 09/10/2020 14:34

Hmm, torn on Sniph. I agree on the perfume but the creams are pretty decent ones and it feels like a well-priced collection. I have a code for 25% off which brings it to just under £100. Happy to share with anyone interested - it’s valid today only.

Not quite decided whether to go for it or not!

TheQuietWoman · 09/10/2020 15:48

Oh yes please Daily, thank you. It looks gorgeous and it's unisex...I quite like the idea of sharing one with DH.

Starbonnet123 · 09/10/2020 15:52

Just collected my H&B Calendar the box it's in is huge , I'm not sure if I should unpack it as I might be tempted to have a peek Smile

Dailyhandtowelwash · 09/10/2020 16:15

It’s 24FORYOU, TheQuietWoman.

I have decided against as I still have my eye on Diptyque. I would quite like a cheap Jadvent one but cheap being the operative word!

TheQuietWoman · 09/10/2020 16:46

Thank you so much Daily. You are a ⭐️!!

ithinkiveseenthisfilmbefore · 09/10/2020 16:49

Has anyone bought the Fenwicks, Selfridges or John Lewis ... and have an opinion on them?

ajandjjmum · 09/10/2020 16:53

I had the John Lewis one for the last two years, and it was very good. Bought it for a friend's 60th this year - hope she likes it!

EndlessWaffle · 09/10/2020 17:30

This thread totally led me astray and yesterday I took delivery of Space NK anthology II. Just going to let it sit there quietly, not quite ready to rip into it yet! Think I need to get past my guilt on the spend before I can truly enjoy it!!

Dailyhandtowelwash · 09/10/2020 17:35

Hope it passes quickly!

I need help. ReallyRee tells me I can pre-order Diptyque but uses a link that is refused by my ad-blocker. I’m googling away but anyone know where I can buy it?

happilybemused · 09/10/2020 17:37

Liberty arrived today. They are already for sale on e bay at an inflated price which I can't understand as you can still buy them on e bay

PhoebeFriends · 09/10/2020 18:00

Thank you Sophocles for the TREAT code - I was just honking about ordering the L’Occitane one and that has tipped it for me - order placed and Free gift selected!

AnSionnachGlic · 09/10/2020 18:16

Thanks to this thread I have 3 calendars....Rituals, Birchbox and Lookfantastic. I've decided to open one in November, one in December and one in January!

SophocIestheFox · 09/10/2020 18:33

Hah, taking you down with me! 😀
Dailyhandtowelwash · 09/10/2020 18:33

Ignore the Diptyque question. I’ve found it’s on their own website (won’t deliver to where I live) and Selfridges, who will have it on sale on 15 October but may not deliver: I’ll call them tomorrow to ask. Fingers crossed.

FredaFox · 09/10/2020 18:39

I have 3 too 🙈 look fantastic, feel unique and pretty little thing so will start in November too!
I'm still hoping for a black Friday deal, got a good price on the grazia one last year
Still not got one for my mum but thinking the rituals unless I see a non beauty one she would like
This is my new obsession, I love this thread!

LoveEatYoga · 09/10/2020 18:54

I have 2 and I think that's more than enough but I am still tempted by ESPA

Maybe I'll get that one next year as no doubt it'll take me a year or more to get through all these calendar bits

Stripesnomore · 09/10/2020 18:58

I have two - Glossybox and Rituals. I am hoping to remain calm and not open either until December. I wanted the Origins one but they all sold out.

Ingridla · 09/10/2020 19:06

The Look Fantastic ones are sold out I'm gutted, can anyone recommend the closest alternative please

Dailyhandtowelwash · 09/10/2020 19:15

Just looking at the Selfridges website for advent calendars with perfume to see whether they deliver to me, and I see the YSL which looks really lovely. Faux Cils is my favourite mascara and it looks very luxurious. I’m quite tempted - £200 but would be £160 for me as I don’t pay VAT.
