Happy Christmas everyone 🌲🥂☃️.
Hoping for a better year to come.
I've over indulged in homemade stuffing that was crispy & delicious, but I'm normally gluten free. Now I'm curled up on the sofa with tummy ache for my pains.
Perfume is Phaedon Hesperys - calming lavender ,herbs & camomile as I've been cooking all day.
Hope you've all had a calm relaxing day.

I got a lovely surprise bottle of By the Fire Place on Christmas day, plus quite a few new samples penhaligon the Duke, mm jazz club and 1826 histories de parfum.

I really like it, its very subtle, I'm not a big fan of overly floral sents but it's definitely going on my wish list for a spring/summer purfume

Glad you like it, KateMAB , it is a real favourite of mine. I find I wear it year round as the woody spiciness can carry it. But there seem to be different camps on perfume seasonality anyway.

Wish I was in the UK Flora , have fallen out of love with my almost FB of Bowmakers (while lusting after their Cowboy Grass) and would love it to go somewhere it was appreciated. But sending from France isn’t, I think, possible. And unlike the before times, I dont know people nipping back and forth who could post it

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, or as lovely as it could be. I tried to recreate what I think of as the smell of Christmas but really it's the smell of my mum's home made orange and clove decorations, mingled with cake baking. A candle called 'Starry Night' from a local shop has come pretty close and the whole house smells amazing.

Interested to read about Christmas gifts/purchases and if anyone is picking up anything bargainous in the sales? I have a New Year Resolution (well I have lots, but this is a perfume related one ) not to wear the same perfume two days in a row or more (I don't mean using 365 different perfumes for each day of the year, but not to just reach for the same one out of laziness Chanel 19 I'm looking at you for more than one day).

With that in mind I am wearing a sample of Ormonde Jayne Xian as I have a gorgeous new sandalwood soap in the bathroom and now desire sandalwood perfumes I like this. I normally complain when my skin hoovers in perfume straight to it's dry down stage in 5 seconds but this is a lovely woody and spicy drydown - that would make a fabulous men's soap supplied in a fabulous and very expensive hotel.

Any other New Year perfume resolutions anyone?

(I'm trying to distract myself from actual real life new year thoughts as if I start thinking about jobs/schools/elderly relatives/universities/exams/colleges/finances - let alone health worries and fucking shielding reappearing again - I will either drink all my perfume or throw the bottles at the wall...)

I think I can wear Xian (should there be an apostrophe in there? I'm too lazy to get up to check the bottle) tomorrow again as it's not actually the new year yet...

Perfume resolutions is using the stuff up
I'm doing a no buy for a year on perfume, makeup, skincare, hair care and body stuff. One rule which is if I run out totally, I can replace, because I'm not living without shower gel!

Its not a new year resolution as such but I definitely want to keep trying and buy more perfumes.

I've put the discovery set of molecule on my birthday wish list for March so fingers crossed DH is paying attention or I'll purchase it myself!

Good morning everyone. I’ve been wearing Ffern winter over the break with an occasional foray into Mojave Ghost. Like @queenpawpaws I’m trying to use things up now but might treat myself if I complete dry January. The only thing that im in danger of finishing is iso e super but I need a rose in my collection...recommendations please? POAL mysteriously disappears on me and I’m looking for just rose (not mixed with anything else).

Happy new year everyone It's going to be a beige buffet for two here tonight, and SOTE will be Baraonda.

Liberty had some decent bargains in their sale, I've ordered a set of Nasomatto oils (Absinth, Narcotic V and Nudiflorum) for half price at £70. Was going to buy them in the next couple of months anyway so that's a win!

@PearsMorgan Paul Smith Rose is recommended a lot for a good straightforward rose and is cheap, not tried myself though.
