My new pinafore arrived! I think I like it, but not 100% sure...

It's this^^. I've tried it on and think it's nice on...but I'm struggling with what colours to put with it? Any ideas much appreciated.

I went for a 20 in it so it wouldn't be too snug for tops underneath, but now it's here, I don't know which top.

I got more dungarees! These ones are Lucy & Yak and are heavy weight cotton. They need some wearing in as they are quite stiff, but they seem good so far.

I would wear a white top with that pinafore, I think. Or a top with pale stripes. I have a viral pink and white stripe one that I would wear with it, if I had it. It looks nice!

@JessicaTheJellyfish i would wear black, black & red, black & white. I've a bright pink pattern shirt I'd possibly try in a clashy way
It's a beautiful red like hot chilli. Why not throw it on your bed and do a colour wheel, throw some clothes round it and see how they look with the red. You can do matchy matchy or clash. See how the mood takes you. It would be great at Christmas as well, paired with green if you're of the Christmas elf type 😂 🎅

Love the L&Y dungarees sonja! They look great on you. I also find them quite stiff to begin with, but I think after a couple of washes they loosened up. Are yours the cord ones?

I'll try the dress on this evening / tomorrow. Yes, I was considering pink too - it would clash, but hopefully in a good way? Otherwise, yes, white or was also thinking navy. They've styled it with white trainers on the website, but I'm thinking maybe my nerdy, black, Star Wars high tops 🤓. Will try a few things on with it and see. I like that it's sustainable cotton etc and I do love a pinafore. But I don't need it, so really, if I can't figure out what to wear it with, I should really send it back.

I was really happy with my putfit today but totally failed to take a pic. Denim skirt and black/grey striped top. Also found a really fab bright berry lipstick which makes me look really glowey.

Thanks @LivingDeadGirlUK. It is actually a lot brighter than I would ordinarily go for, but it is a lovely dress. I might wear it for Christmas Day. Not that we might get to go anywhere around Christmas at this rate 😬.

I have had a couple of pairs of L&Y dungarees @Peachypips78! A teal corduroy pair which were so lovely, but then I gained weight and ended up giving them away to a smaller friend. Then I went up a size and got a light grey pair, but I don't like them for winter. Preferred the teal pair tbh.

Aaaanyway, I am also busty and I found that I liked wearing them baggier. So, the teal pair were the L size, when I was more of a 14 - 16. I gave them away to friend who is also more of an apple shape, but much slimmer, size 10 - 12 and they really do look ace on her. So, personally, I'd go baggie if I was buying again. But I think that might be just my style tbh!

These are my first pair from Lucy & Yak so I am not an expert, but I can tell you that I got the XXL and I am a size 20. They fit just about right on me and the measurements on the webpage were correct. So I would go for your normal size following the chart. I was skeptical to dungarees at first because I have huge boobs (and stomach and arse) and tbh, I don´t think I look any worse in dungarees than I do in anything else. Wearing dungarees also makes me happy, and wearing things that make you happy is always good, I reckon!

I quite often go for slightly clashing colours under pinafores. I think they can work well.

I saw a plus size lady wearing a dress like this with some flatform white trainers at our fancy farm shop yesterday. She looked amazing in it- about a size 22 I reckon. I need to be more daring I think.

can i creep in and join? id love to give you a definite size that i am but it varies between a 16-18 in some shops and a 20-22 in others so what i really am is anyones guess tbh

livingdeadgirl i recognise that t-rex t-shirt, im pretty sure i have the same one!! I'm a big fan of tee sites like teefury and qwertee!

I'm mainly to be found in black, red and purple, im on the gothy side of things and am almost always in dr marten boots of which i have many, many pairs. Ill give myself converse to wear, as a treat, i just bought a kids pair with unicorns on!

Today, though no pic as the only one i have has my face in it, i wore a black velvet short dress with black opaque tights, black glitter dr martens and a black denim jacket. hair was in a bun on the top of my head accessorised jauntily with a black velvet bow
