I saw the sale earlier and went a bit mad. Sadly the checked kimono is on available in xs, but there is one on ebay........

When I got in from work tonight my parcel was waiting for me!
The sleeveless wool tunic is a no, definitely too scratchy and rough!
The denim dress I think sadly is also a no, it's incredibly heavy and I just don't know if I can pull it off, I'm probably too short.
I really like the carpenter jeans, but I've had to roll them up as my legs are very short, not sure whether that's a good look or not, photo included for any feedback please!!

Anyone know if the cotton linen wide leg crop are true to size? I'm 10-12 and the 12 are now sold out so want to go for a 10 but will be annoyed if they are tight on the waist?

@AFingerofFudge, I think the angle of the camera is making the shot less flattering than it could be but the jeans look nice.

@MikeUniformMike yes my mirror is dirty and it's hard to get a decent photo, I do really like them though so think I'll hang onto them.
This is the denim dress. I feel like you could wear it as a coat actually.
Styled with the indigo cotton boy t-shirt that arrived too and is sadly going back as they have started making them thinner which is disappointing!

Hi all, I was on the original Toast thread under a different name and thought I'd pop back - can't believe you're on thread 4

Anyway some fab buys here! I've just taken advantage of the sale and have bought the Japanese checked shirt and the wool gauze Moroccan stripe dress. Was meant to be having a no-buy streak in the run-up to Christmas but can't resist a toast sale and am sure I'll love them both!

@MikeUniformMike I appreciate your feedback, is it a no to the jeans, the dress, or both?!

I ordered that same denim dress Fudge. I have a number of Toast denim dresses going back years - but this one was a definite no. It was big, heavy and too long on me. I thought the buttons too widely spaced with a big split at the bottom which meant sitting down was always going to be a bit exposing and annoying. I also hated the sleeves which seemed the cheap option - a proper cuff would be much nicer. Boooo. Disappointing. It went straight back.

I have the denim dress that's in the sale at £95. It's much nicer than this was. Can recommend!

@AFingerofFudge - I like the jeans - a nice good dark colour. I think the dress drowns you a bit

@AFingerofFudge agree the jeans look good, like keepers. The dress looks too big? Could you get a smaller size?

I ordered the 8 and the 10 in those jeans @AFingerofFudge, but the 8 was too tight and the 10 too large! If I were you I would take them up so you can roll them up to Ankle length in summer and down in winter.

@Spottyegg yes these are a little tight but I know the 14's would be too baggy!

DS1's girlfriend is great at taking things up so I shall be taking them round to her!!

Thanks for all the comments re the dress. It is going back, it is definitely one of the Toast items designed for someone taller than me. I love it on the hanger, just not on me!
So I'll console myself with the fact I'll now have money coming back into my PayPal account to cover the things I've just bought in their sale!

@AFingerofFudge Ah is that the indigo denim dress? Yes, far too big for you! I have this and sized down two sizes from 14 to a 10 and now I like it. Although perhaps I’m taller than you a bit which makes it more manageable (I’m 5ft5).

By the way, has anyone received a sale email from Toast, or are they simply relying on the super-spreading nature of these threads to spread the word? Just curious, as I haven’t had any official notification, and wouldn’t have known if it were not for the very lovely Count!
