With eBay I’d rely on Toast being an easy re-sell if something didn’t fit.

Countmeout · 02/11/2020 12:49

I agree with @Craftycorvid probably a ‘mistake’ with toast on eBay is easily rectified. Having said I don’t buy on eBay, I was put off a couple of months ago by buying a blouse that was too small (I could have got into it a year ago bs (before scones) . I’ve kept it to see if I can restore myself. (ASI really like the colours) But I have successfully bought a coat and a summer dress there. But atm it’s just too hit and miss as the sizes are too variable. I thought I had sussed what size in what style fitted but that’s no longer true.
Now is someone going to start another thread - with the winter sale to look forward to we’re going to have a lot more to say. And hopefully keep our spirits up as you go into another lockdown or hopefully emerge from one depending on our locations.
I don’t want to come back after I do childcare this afternoon and find I’ve lost you! 😭

@Countmeout the dress is beautiful. I really want that dress now. I doubt it will ever make it to the sale but a girl can dream..

I too doubt this dress will ever be in the sale, at least not in my size which is already OOS. I think the only to get your mitts on it is to pre-order it, I see they expect the smaller sizes to come back later this month.

@Craftycorvid and @Countmeout haha I tried reselling and every time it turned out that I was prepared to pay more for the item than other people, it cost me money to just try it on. After all the faff it didn't seem worth it.

I am a keen eBayer for other brands (weirdly COS is rarely a mistake but they have basic shapes and consistent sizes and I know pretty well what will work for me from them) but for Toast I have been disappointed too many times.

I'm enjoying seeing everyone's purchases and scores, I think I'm going to hold on for the sales now that the perfect cord trousers have proven elusive.

I have had some luck with Toast on ebay and have resold a couple of things for pretty much what I paid f0r them .. but yes , its always a risk..
