oh they're lovely @Laska2Meryls - particularly the red cord. I've never seen them before - but you could try googling red cord dress perhaps?

Ahhhh I don't recall when the red cord dress was in shops but have seen a few on eBay in recent months.

I managed to get my hands on both my main 'wants' from past collections on eBay last week so am very happy. This dress but in navy and these culottes No more purchases for a while though!

The lovely Toast navy fairisle jumper is in the Observer magazine today. It always looks so much better than all of the other fairisles it is featured with.

Here’s the falling leaves dress to show length for those interested in it. I’m 5’4”. I like dresses this length -hides a multitude of sins.
Also with jumper to show just how dressed down it can be.
I’m not sure what I’ve done/not done with the belt in these pictures 🤦‍♀️

I've just won a Japanese Check Button Shoulder dress on eBay and hoping it'll be fab.

So, the theory is: sell lots on eBay to recoup the costs of things bought...usually on eBay. So, just bought the tiered needlecord dress in ‘ginger’ on eBay, thus wiping out profits. Erm, that went well.

Who is bidding on the toast denim skirt on EBay, worn once? I put a bid in but not going to increase as i found a virtually unworn Toast skirt in my wardrobe that I had forgotten about that I am going to focus on for this winter.

Count I love how it looks with that jumper! where's it from?

The jumper is Toast bought in the sale in January. Washes well I think it has a high cotton content. It’s colour was bone.
Not me on eBay. I can’t seem to hit on the right size without trying things on.

So I need the down low on the Toast sales.. how often and what kind of discounts do they usually do? I'm coveting a few things (nothing 'new in') so not sure whether to hold out a little before I buy.

@MaizeBlouse I think the next one will be at Christmas. I was in London last December the first weekend and it started shortly after that I think (Because I had looked at that jumper in person to make some assessment of what size I needed) - anyone else remember?

I remember it being later than I wanted it to be! It was very near Christmas I think.

I looked back at my order history for last year and I had a few in December which would indicate it was sale time!

Just looked again, I ordered a dress on 2 December in the sale.... it was summer stock. Then I ordered a lot more on 30 December which was Autumn/winter stock.

I seem to have ordered a Kala check shirt dress. (think I was half asleep when I saw it on John Lewis). Does anyone have it? How does it fit?

I had the Kala, it came up large. It was the dress Toast took from me all because of a frayed belt!! They obviously refunded me but I was cross. It’s a beautiful colour.

I don't suppose Toast participate in anything as low-brow as Black Friday? I was kinda hoping to pick up a bargain then!

I'm impatient for the sale too. I won't be buying anything else full price.

They seem to have lots of summer dresses on their website but no reductions in price? At least, none that I noticed.

How do you shop for Toast on eBay? Are they things that you have already tried on and you know which size you need? I find I'm sending so many things back to the shop (about to post back a third parcel, have tried and tried to get some new cords, the pleated ones were too balloon-like on me, and the Gabis were weird shape on my body - rectangular drop crotch with two skinny legs sticking out, very unbalanced).

As for the sales, I think the winter sale starts on Christmas Eve usually. And no they don't do Black Friday as far as I remember.

@luggageandbags - I agree with you! I would never buy something non-returnable by toast if I hadn't already tried it on - it's just too hit and miss!

@faustina mine was a 10, but thanks for thinking of me. It’s voluminous I think I mainly fell for the colour. It looked good over the denim v neck dress.

@luggageandbags totally with you, unless I could remember trying it on so had an idea of sizing there’s absolutely no way I would buy on eBay site unseen. The sizing is just mad - but presumably they could do something about it if they wanted to? It must be the cause of so many returns so I just can’t see why it wouldn’t be high on their priority list, especially when online shopping is so important. I have dresses in 4 different sizes from Toast, wtf is that all about?!
