Yes I got my email yesterday evening. I only discovered it as I’ve been sort of stalking it to watch what was going to happen with the dogtooth coat which is last years. I wanted it last year after seeing it in person, but it never went down far enough meanie that I am, totally missed it on John Lewis and by the time I decided I would have to jump it was gone in my size on Toast. Now suddenly it’s back apparently for this winter because it’s not in this sale. I thought they must have discovered a pile of them in the warehouse and would reduce it. Really annoying.
In happier news I got my dispatch email this morning for my sale items, that’ll be Monday or Tuesday delivery fingers crossed.
Anyone else got theirs?

AmethystMoonShine · 18/09/2020 08:07

I also got an email but after our jungle drums had started! Glad for finding out when I did as I suspect sizes sell out in those precious hours.

DameCelia · 18/09/2020 08:19

Do the referral codes work if you are already registered as a customer? I'm tempted by the non coat like denim dress.

thedevilinablackdress · 18/09/2020 08:43

I knew you were all onit last night as things disappeared out if my basket before my eyes 😆
Have ordered the Spring Court hi-tops in ecru... realistically for next year, but might squeeze a wear or two out if this weather holds.

Gordonsgrin · 18/09/2020 08:46

@Spottyegg any chance I could have the discount code too?

Gonegrey31 · 18/09/2020 09:05

I by coincidence returned the denim dress yesterday (the one with shorter sleeves that is now in the sale). My normal size in dresses was too large. I think the cut of this dress is particularly generous around the waist/ hips, so I have now re-ordered it in the sale but sized down from my normal Toast size in dresses.
The blue denim colour is lovely, a really rich shade. I know it will fade on washing but the colour has made me re-order.

ButteredToast19 · 18/09/2020 10:39

Ive NC but I sew a bit Grin
I ordered the Eda denim pinafore dress in black as loved it in Indigo size 10 even though Im a 12.
Then saw it was the sale so snapped up the gingham robe in M.
Also the Wool gauze Moroccan striped dress in a 12.
I got a second hand pattern for a lovely old fashioned nightshirt from Etsy- so am hoping to create something " Toast style" to go with my robe Smile

AuldFox · 18/09/2020 12:21

I didn’t get any emails but that’s because I have unsubscribed from them. I rely on the jungle drums of this thread. All the dresses I ordered are now completely sold out from the sale bar one not in my size, so I am most grateful I got an early stab thanks to count No dispatch email yet so let’s see how many they actually have in their warehouse....

albird · 18/09/2020 13:23

I had such mixed luck with Toast sizing (can be anything from an 8 -12) that I thought I would treat myself with a day out to visit a shop - I could visit any in London or I could visit Brighton. - which shop would you Toast lovers recommend - and do you know if you can try things on in these shops? Ive just had to send back the side buttoned crop jeans in an 8 and 10 - both so small on the waist!

Saurus72 · 18/09/2020 13:27

@albird I had the same thought a couple of weeks ago and went to a store - thankful as sizing really is not guessable at all! The Islington store is lovely - big and spacious. In Cambridge, they only let 2 people in at once so it all felt manageable. Maybe call ahead to check you can try on?

Moominmammaatsea · 18/09/2020 13:38

I managed to bag the last gingham gown in small for Grandma Moomin; she is housebound now but likes to wear a different pair of Toast pyjamas and coordinating gown for her weekly Zoom session with her Gilmore Girl-style gang! Grin I also bought the indigo stripe T-shirt in a size x/s as I have it in the s/m but I fear I would resemble a galleon in full sail if I wore it in public so it is strictly a wfh top.

Cursing myself that I didn’t spot the Moroccan stripe dress before it sold out but I felt the pressure to be nimble and quick and checkout promptly; it was just like the good old days of Toast archive sales where goods would vanish from your basket if you hesitated for a nano-second!

AmethystMoonShine · 18/09/2020 13:51

@Moominmammaatsea I like Grandma Moomin’s style Grin

Countmeout · 18/09/2020 14:21

Grandma Moomin and I will match @Moominmammaatsea if I can come to terms with the shorter length when it comes,.

For anyone not entirely sick of me and the graphic yolk jumper I ordered a small to test my theory that they will measure differently and bingo one has just arrived in today’s post measuring 58.5 cm unstretched and is great on, no swing to the back. Will post picture later. Much neater in the neck too. If you can get to a shop and want this jumper take a measuring tape!

@albird I visited London last year and went to Shoreditch, Marylebone and Nottinghill. Shoreditch is tiny. Marylebone is also small but had great amounts of stock . Nottinghill for me was best as it apparently carries all the clothing lines and was very spacious.

Spottyegg · 18/09/2020 14:45

I went to Richmond store and you could try stuff on. So definitely worth a go. Incidentally @albird I am interested in those Annie jeans, and I am about 29inches around my COVID influenced waist - would I fit the 10 do you think?

albird · 18/09/2020 15:14

@spottyegg - I think with a 29 inch waist the size 10 Annie jeans would be fine - I've already sent them, back but measured my own waist (wish I hadn't!!) and you are a good few inches smaller than me.

Moominmammaatsea · 18/09/2020 16:11

Whoop! I decided to torture myself by taking another peek at the Moroccan stripe dress...only to discover there was a solitary one left and it was MY SIZE!!!! Hell, I might as well throw caution to the wind and buy a lottery ticket for the next draw as my luck is clearly changing...

CeaseAndDesist · 18/09/2020 16:39

I saw the Moroccan stripe dress was back in stock today - nicely nabbed @Moominmammaatsea Grin.

Can't wait for mine to arrive. I've been living in yoga pants and moth-eaten jumpers all through lockdown - I think I need something a bit smarter to see me through the interminable Teams meetings this winter.

I really want the graphic yoke sweater but can't decide between the blue or the oat...and at non-sale prices it's probably a bit of a gamble too far...

Countmeout · 19/09/2020 08:22

Here’s the small in the sweater. Think it’s ok still loose enough for my taste.

Toast the fourth!
Gonegrey31 · 19/09/2020 08:30

Countmeout The sweater looks lovely on you. Interesting that your S measured smaller than the one I received and returned. Unlike you, I’m just too pear shaped for these shorter, boxy styles !

Ellapaella · 19/09/2020 08:56

@Countmeout that small looks perfect, sorry I haven't had a chance to measure my small yet but I think that's a good size on you.

Countmeout · 19/09/2020 10:09

Thank @Gonegrey31 and @Ellapaella.
Shows how random ordering online can be. It’s all guesswork as to whether something will fit.

ilovecherries · 19/09/2020 15:57

Does anyone have the indigo side button dress? I’m oddly drawn to it but fear it may be straying from lentil eating librarian (acceptable and totally on brand for me 🤣) into full on Amish territory (probably not me). I need not to make speculative purchases because of shielding restarts, which is looking increasingly likely, I won’t be able to return it as Toast has stopped their extended returns period. I’d wear it with thick tights and DMs and a jumper underneath.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/09/2020 16:19

I have it @ilovecherries. Just received it today. Its lovely. I downsized so mine is a 10. I adore indigo denim so was delighted to get it in the sale. Its a little stiff atm so hoping it may soften with washing. Its neat at the top and wide at the bottom but not too wide.
I tried on a similar dress and it was ridiculous looking. That one stuck out like a tent and made me look like a toddler!
This one i love.

I have it @ilovecherries. My DP mentioned the Amish vibe but I don't care, I love it! I am planning to wear it with jumper, tights and my Clark's desert brogue shoes:
