They're not my raste Laksa - too much going on for me. But I am v minimalist in my tastes. The Fair Isle jumper was v daring for me!

NoCureForLove · 26/10/2020 19:41

Taste. Not raste!

MaizeBlouse · 27/10/2020 10:27

Received my purchases today (discount courtesy of @Laska2Meryls thanks again!).

I really love the gabi cord trousers. They are a touch too big around the waist (a 12 and I usually wear a 14) but the next size down would def be too small around the arse region ha. They're a lovely weight and feel, a bit thicker than I anticipated but they hang much more nicely than I expected as I am quite bottom heavy.

The dress is gorgeous. Deffo oversized and I could probs size down but I like the fit just like this. Its really lightweight but so easy to wear and looks good with the Chelsea boots too.

My first purchases from toast and I feel an expensive habit forming...

the print looks great on the dress!

AFingerofFudge · 27/10/2020 11:50

I love that dress @MaizeBlouse - the colours are great.
I have a number of the gabi trousers but not the cord ones. I love their shape and am tempted to get the cords for winter.
Today I'm in my Toast striped jumper I bought as soon as it came out but today is the first day I've worn it. It's with a pair of Toast jeans from last season that are too long but I love them!

Laska2Meryls · 27/10/2020 11:54

That dress is great Maize I haven't seen it on anyone before .
I have those Gabis also... really like them ..

Faustina I am keeping the Josef seibel boots!! (despite your style advice ...) . Ive had a good look around and cant find any I like better for more casual wear , and I have other black stompy boots for dresses etc,.. but I am also eyeing up these Celtic and co ones I have a £20 referral code also to use up .. Wink

Laska2Meryls · 27/10/2020 12:10

Finger of Fudge I am so hoping that jumper is in the sale . Saw it in York shop and loved but I keep sitting on my hands because I have bought 3 Toast jumpers already in the last few months Blush

Laska2Meryls · 27/10/2020 12:43

I've ordered the Celtic ones !! Blush

faustina · 27/10/2020 14:46

@AFingerofFudge - that jumper looks great - such a flattering colour. how thick is it?

@Laska2Meryls - I really like those boots you've ordered. I bought these a couple of years ago and they're extremely casual - possibly quite marmite though. They're shearling throughout so you can wear barefoot, and great for long walks. I notice Grenson have some very similar this year

fit flop boots

Yorkshirelass04 · 27/10/2020 17:05

faustina · 27/10/2020 19:46

I don't remember an early sales notification, but they did send me a sweet little Japanese fabric bag earlier this year

Laska2Meryls · 27/10/2020 19:52

Its usually 24hrs pre sale notice for Kindred I think.. I also once got a Japanese bag [Smile]

Saurus72 · 29/10/2020 15:53

I’m constantly stalked by Toast ads online (their marketing strategy is definitely voracious in its approach I must say). I think their stock supply must be suffering from COVID-related issues though because I’ve been having the same ‘new in’ adverts on Instagram for weeks and weeks now. I think I’m right in thinking that they usually launch a ‘deep winter’ campaign late Autumn (that I roll my eyes at 👀 as deep winter is surely January? Anyhoo). Wondering if there’s any more AW stock to come in or if this is it? Loads of OOS Toast stock on JL too. Maybe it’s hard to re-order?

ToastCosILoveIt · 29/10/2020 16:28

There's new stuff on the Toast website right now.

Saurus72 · 29/10/2020 16:49

Ha, so there is! That burgundy wrap dress is gorgeous but £220, eep!

ToastCosILoveIt · 29/10/2020 16:58

It is @Saurus72. I am eyeing up the Zadie Bloom dress already. I buy that style of dress in every pattern they bring out. I also love the Aime print PJ top but it is too expensive.

Has anyone bought the cord jacket? I have the gabi cords but can't quite make my mind up about the jacket.

Saurus72 · 29/10/2020 17:15

Ah yes, I bought that dress in bottle green around this time last year and it’s a good one. I wear it with burgundy knee boots, comfy and chic. Do you have a budget for clothes? I’ve finished my Christmas shopping so am eyeing up stuff for next payday. It really never ends.

ToastCosILoveIt · 29/10/2020 18:08

@Saurus72, i have always loved clothes. They bring me enourmous joy (a common theme on this thread)!

I am also an emotional shopper. I have two chiildren with SEND and both of them are giving some huge challenges at the moment which is when I tend to shop more Sad.

Saurus72 · 29/10/2020 18:50

@ToastCosILoveIt I 100% understand, I’m a voracious shopper and it’s definitely been problematic for me in the past (not saying it is for you 😊). Beautiful clothes just make everything better - whenever someone says ‘things don’t make you happy’ in my head I finish the sentence with ‘...well you’re clearly shopping in the wrong place then!’ Because they absolutely can make you happy 😉. Plus it’s the planing/scheming/researching - it’s a v good distraction. My issue is I must buy things only if I love them otherwise I just don’t wear them.

faustina · 29/10/2020 18:52

Those rings are so pretty!
