I returned that dress too, but was v sad about it. It was too tight across the bust and upper arms, but I loved it. Ankle boots, brogues, perhaps a cute little wool neckerchief (Liadain Aiken and Jo Gordon both do beautiful ones), denim/workwear style jacket...fab! Enjoy it @Yorkshirelass04, I think it is beautiful.

AFingerofFudge · 22/10/2020 09:54

I keep seeing the Sense of Renewal slogan on the Toast website and I'm desperately waiting for a Sense of Sale instead Wink
I have a small amount of PayPal funds and am hoping to make it go further by waiting for anything else when it's on sale!!

Laska2Meryls · 22/10/2020 10:41

Fingeroffudge what are you hoping to get in the sale?. I would like those wool tencel tops but other than sale nightwear if there is any nothing else I think .
We are back home later today and I have John Lewis parcels waiting for me !!😄

Laska2Meryls · 22/10/2020 10:45

Kin cord dress in navy , kin shirt, kin black skinnies ( theres a theme here!) . And these boots.. The Sorel ones went back as far too stiff

Laska2Meryls · 22/10/2020 11:16

The only thing that I am not sure of about those Josef Seibel boots though is the furry back .... but I really only want them for casual with jeans.. I have the And Or Rudy boots from last year which are good with skirts and dresses

faustina · 22/10/2020 11:55

Can't see the pics @Laska2Meryls!

NoCureForLove · 22/10/2020 12:12

Have my new jumper - the fairisle yoke in the blue and red / pink colourway. I love it! Pic later.

It's quite thick / heavy but not too big and the deep ribbing means it sits nicely on the waist of my jeans.

Some people might find it a bit scratchy?

I'm very pleased with it.

NoCureForLove · 22/10/2020 13:32

Here.

Yorkshirelass04 · 22/10/2020 13:38

Thanks everyone for the replies on the gingham dress!

I think I'll keep it. I'm just so used to cutesy fitted dresses.

faustina · 22/10/2020 14:11

@NoCureForLove - that's a great fit - it sits just right on your shoulders!

NoCureForLove · 22/10/2020 14:35

Thanks Faustina.
It's a Large - but it's not huge. More like a usual Toast Medium I think.

AuldFox · 22/10/2020 16:00

nocure that fair isle really suits your colouring Smile

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/10/2020 16:17

The Kin navy cord dress - I tried on the 8 first and don't even need to try the 10 as the 8 is plenty big enough. I need to try it on with boots to see if I am keeping it.

The Kin pale blue cord top - the 10 is massive and the colour drains me so it is going back.

Saurus72 · 22/10/2020 17:49

Hi, quick question: has anyone been to the Toast outlet at Shepton Mallet recently? We’re staying about 45 minutes away atm and I have the option to go tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone has a clue of what the stock and pricing is like? Thanks.

ScottishMouse · 22/10/2020 17:51

Had a wee Toast delivery this afternoon. I managed to grab a returned graphic yoke jumper which I really like. It is quite boxy and short, and as someone said, there is a size difference between individual ones - I got both colours to decide between, and the navy is definitely shorter. Luckily I prefer the oatmeal, so the navy will go back.
I also ordered the loop back jersey trousers. They are huge - the Xs fits me and I am a 10-12. But I am not sure about them. Does anyone have these? Do they wash well? And how do/would you style them? The colour is called charcoal, but it has a definite brownish tone, and I’m not sure I love that. But they are soooo comfy. Really not sure, so would love anyone’s thoughts on these?

Laska2Meryls · 22/10/2020 18:01

Nocurefotlove thats fab 👍
Ok so I also don't need to try on the 10 in the Kin dress.. the light isnt that good atm but here it is..I like it, but not sure if its not too Amish?
Like ToastcosILoveit sending back the Kin cord shirt .. even the 8 is too wide and too short

Toast the fourth!
faustina · 22/10/2020 18:28

Shame about the shirt - I liked the width and length in the photo on John Lewis with skinnies - it had a kind of early sixties thing

I like the dress on you! Perhaps try it again tomorrow?

How are the boots and skinny jeans?

faustina · 22/10/2020 18:29

Did you see on the news by the way - the lockdown in Wales will include any non-essential shops. I wonder if that's going to affect Toast deliveries etc?

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/10/2020 19:01

@Laska2Meryls, the dress looks lovely on you. I think it would look good with knee high boots or ankle boots that have a bit of a heel. It's quite long on me (similar to the trailing leaf dress - mid shin) and its bulkiness means it needs a bit of a lift I think. I don't wear a lot of heels but could stretch to them for that dress. The cord is very thin but i left it on for half an hour and grew to love it.

I finally decided to keep the size 10 Gabi slate cords. The 12 fit two but look much bulkier. The 12 have gone back along with the 14 in the trailign leaf dress (which would have been huge) and the Rosae print dress which I wasn't sure about so decided to wait for the sale.

Craftycorvid · 22/10/2020 19:13

Lovely colour on you, Laska and definitely not Amish. I suspect I’d drown in that dress though as I’m short - I tend to look like a little pepperpot! Grin

ScottishMouse · 22/10/2020 19:16

That Kin dress is lovely. But it looks long. How tall are you ladies that have it? I am only just over 5 foot so I suspect it would look a touch ridiculous on me.

faustina · 22/10/2020 19:27

@ScottishMouse - I'm 5'4 and I was pleasantly surprised at how it didn't drag along the ground on me - because quite a lot of stuff does!

ToastCosILoveIt · 22/10/2020 19:29

@Scottishmouse, I am 5ft 5 and the dress is long, mid shin. I think it needs a bit of a heel. i have some Camper tan boots with a mid heel which would be lovely with it. I bought them in the Camper factory in Spain and have never worn them. Now is the time!

ScottishMouse · 22/10/2020 19:38

Thanks! Probably too long for me then, especially as I never wear heels.

Laska2Meryls · 22/10/2020 19:54

Boots and jeans not here yet.. Faustina
Ill try the shirt on again tomorrow and post a photo
Saurus ooh id love to go to the Toast outlet.. I am determined that I will engineer a campervan trip that way soon
