I have also just sent back the Moroccan stripe dress. It just did it not look right on me ( I’m too short I think ).

In other news, I’ve had a code from John Lewis for 20 % off women’s fashion IF you book a “virtual styling session “. Sadly the code is not transferable, otherwise I’d gladly share it. But anyone with a John Lewis account should get one of these vouchers in the post.

Countmeout · 23/09/2020 14:36

Ooh @Gonegrey31 I have just checked and I have that on my account. What is a virtual styling session does anyone know is it like the M and S one ?

ilovecherries · 23/09/2020 15:23

I placed 2 orders, three hours apart. One arrived on Monday, the other hasn’t been dispatched yet.

CeaseAndDesist · 23/09/2020 16:02

@Gonegrey31, I'm 5' 7" and it still looked rubbish on me Grin

I tried it with boots and tights and a lovely jacket but no, it's not the one.

Gonegrey31 · 23/09/2020 17:18

CeaseAndDesist maybe it is the high waist? I tried it with belts and a jacket but it did not flatter, although I am not tall and willowy....far from that!

Spottyegg · 23/09/2020 17:19

I was quite excited by the Blundstones until I realised they were a UK MENS 2 and not a women's 2 and therefore too big (I have very small feet!)

faustina · 23/09/2020 20:58

I was actually reading up about the sizing and it's quite complicated - Australian, and also some are unisex and some not. And the other very weird thing is a half size isn't half a size bigger (as in longer) -it's wider but the same length - so a five and a half is the same length as a five, but wider!

neveradullmoment99 · 24/09/2020 12:32

@Spottyegg

I also ordered the black and brown check dress, I think I am keeping it. Ume was too big I think, not sure if it is possible to exchange for a smaller size given sale has ended - I think I need an 8. Poplin shirt slightly see through and quite wide at hem? Will ponder. And cotton linen trees (earlier model of Jude trousers) a success! Very neat in the waist so I took a 10 in these.
I ordered the chalkboard dress in both a 10 and a 12. Both fitted but the 10 was slightly more restrictive on the bust. I have kept the 12 as it definitely hung better and the fullness at the gathers was nicer. I also have the side button pinafore. Wore it on Tuesday. I really love it.

@Laska2Meryls I cannot wait to see the check skirt on you. I noticed they did have it in my size but i resisted. I have spent quite enough recently.

I have a Dora pinafore - no buttons but otherwise similar. In the indulgent camp I’ve just bought the wool-linen herringbone jacket - too lovely to leave in the shop

Spottyegg · 24/09/2020 13:22

this one jacket - much neater than the mandarin collared jacket.

I've also been wearing my JL bargain slate cotton linen jacket loads in this "in-between" weather

rozzyraspberry · 24/09/2020 14:56

Hi all - new to toast but just bought a couple of things that I love.

Has anyone got the lofty alpaca cardigan - just wondering if it is really cropped?

neveradullmoment99 · 24/09/2020 15:21

I have the other one which is quite similar in style. It is short. Its not 'cropped' as in tummy showing!! Its just a short cardigan imo. They should give you the length of it on the website?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 24/09/2020 15:22

It says 54cm in the length for a medium.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/09/2020 15:23

I have the wool neat cardigan in medium. Its about the same length.

Impatient me again Grin

Anyone had dispatch email for sale items ordered on Monday?

Moominmammaatsea · 24/09/2020 17:21

Hi Amethyst, same conversation, different say! Yes, I have literally just received confirmation emails for my Veja trainers and sketchbooks which I ordered on Monday.

Moominmammaatsea · 24/09/2020 17:22

Did anyone here ‘attend’ the Toast Graham Street AW20 styling event this morning?

Saurus72 · 24/09/2020 17:25

No really wanted to ‘go’ but it sold out in record time.

Countmeout · 24/09/2020 18:12

Call me psychic. There some new stuff on including the culottes mentioned up thread. Sadly a rather beautiful tweed wool coat is £595 (faints at price)

Countmeout · 24/09/2020 18:13

And a wonderful velvet jacket, who was it wanted one of those?

faustina · 24/09/2020 18:20

I'd never heard of Graham St before - it looks great - thanks!

Moominmammaatsea · 24/09/2020 18:54

Yes, I went and it was great!

mizu · 24/09/2020 19:09

countmeout I was sent an email to from TOAST today and the olive parka is gorgeous but £395!

neveradullmoment99 · 24/09/2020 19:15

Toast is just ridiculously expensive just now.
