@ScottishMouse

I have been lurking on all four Toast threads but am now joining you all, my Toasty pals. I would like to ask *@StyleandBeautyfail* about the Gingham Cotton Cashmere culottes you mentioned up the thread a bit. I ordered the Gingham Cotton Cashmere dress along with some cheeky sale things, not expecting much, but apart from being too small (lockdown pounds will not shift), it is beautiful, and the fabric far better than I imagined. But culottes are something I love, so would really like to try them. But where are they? I cannot find them online, and I even got in touch with customer services and they don’t know anything about them either! Please tell us more *@StyleandBeautyfail*. Are they definitely the same fabric as this dress: www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+loungewear/cjpao/gingham+cotton+cashmere+dress.htm?searchref=%2fresults_solr.aspx%3fsrch_keywords%3dCotton%2520cashmere%26keywords%3dCotton%2520cashmere%26seoterm%3dCotton%2520cashmere%26&clr=cjpao_blackecru Thank you! Look forward to chatting all.
Hello @ScottishMouse Yes its exactly the same fabric as the dress which I bought on the same day. How very odd! Ive been over the website with a fine tooth comb and I cant find them either. My black denim dress arrived on Saturday and my sale stuff Moroccan stripe dress and Grey check robe. I like the robe, the dress is out of this world! Absolutely beautiful fabric, cut everything. Will try to post pics of the trousers and label. Im baffled

The navy blue floral Dhuggie is beautiful. Size S fits perfectly, so the usual large Toast fit. A good length for chillier weather. I could wear it alone or with leggings or my navy Hush harems. Very pleased Grin

Spottyegg · 21/09/2020 18:57

You are all so quick! Dithering over the ivar jacket which is still £105...

ScottishMouse · 21/09/2020 19:10

Thanks for the photos @StyleandBeautyfail, they look fab! Could you tell me the code on the label, I can’t quite read it from the photo? Maybe I can get hold of them with that.

Countmeout · 21/09/2020 19:17

Is that dress new season @StyleandBeautyfail ? Maybe the culottes will reappear in the new drop after this mini sale has ended.

ScottishMouse · 21/09/2020 19:29

No worries @StyleandBeautyfail, I figured out the code and got onto the online chat. They are available to order over the phone but not online. Odd.
There is stock in my local store but only one and it is a Small. How do you find the sizing? I am usually an 8 on the bottom with Toast, but often an XS/6 in these type of elasticated looser trousers, unless the waist is very tight and then I would go for a S (although then the bum is sometimes too saggy). No trying on yet here in Scottish stores unfortunately.

Ive deleted the photos now, dont know why but it makes me nervous! They come up very loose, waist not tight at all. Well Im glad they are real trousers not imaginary Grin Ive just been emailed that more things have been added to the sale. Sorry I didnt reply straight away , I was busy buying the Elinstripe cotton/linen skirt Blush

Yes this seasons dress. Lovely fabric
ScottishMouse · 21/09/2020 19:45

Thanks @StyleandBeautyfail, the S might be too big then. I will wait and see if they turn up online soon, they couldn’t tell me if they would.

StyleandBeautyfail · 21/09/2020 19:47

If I see any in the shop I will alert you.
Im trying NOT to go back to peruse the sale .

MaudesMum · 21/09/2020 19:51

Reporting back from one of my occasional visits to the sale shop at Kilver Court in Somerset. The great news is that you can now try on up to 5 items of clothing, which they then quarantine. Actually, it could be 10 items - if you also shop in the bit of the shop that has the current season's clothes, you can use their changing rooms and try on 5 full price items as well. They've got a very nice range of kimonos in at the moment, but not many jumpers yet. I fell in love with a long herringbone coat, which will be perfect for all those evenings huddled around fires trying to have a social life this winter. It was £195, reduced from £395, and I keep going into the cupboard to stroke it..

Freesialime · 22/09/2020 00:29

I got the Ivar jacket from John Lewis. Was worried the double breasted style wouldn’t suit me but I wear it open with the lapels buttoned back at the top IYSWIM and I love it, goes with so many things.

mizu · 22/09/2020 07:36

maudesmum im hoping to take a trip to Kilver in half term, it's about 1.5 hours from me and not a very nice drive.

SO envious of those who managed to get the Moroccan stripe dress,I dithered and lost out.

However, I have just bought a Foulard green silk and cotton shirt dress from Depop for £38 Smile

Craftycorvid · 22/09/2020 09:09

Maudesmum you make an excellent case for having lots of wonderful warm coats this winter, as we shall all be trying to have a social life outdoors. You’ve justified my coat collection right there.

Saurus72 · 22/09/2020 10:43

Boo, Toast have just refunded me £45 for the Japanese checked shirt I ordered which was obviously OOS. Not too devastated tbh, will put towards a lovely warm cashmere scarf instead.

faustina · 22/09/2020 11:00

just popping in to say that if anyone else is looking at boots (on the offchance that we will be allowed out this Autumn) TKMaxx online have got Blundstones for £29.99

Countmeout · 22/09/2020 11:15

I’m thinking I’ll just need. Leisurewear this winter 😕
Post arrived early. The chalkboard dress is not for me, too much stiff skirt going on. And it’s verrrry dark. This is the black/biscuit. Not overly generous in size either if you have the combination of a bust and lockdown pounds.
Am keeping the mini dogtooth lilac blouse, loved it the minute I put it on. Will be great under a jacket or jumper too.
Jury is out on the grey check gown, I think it is too short, it’s much lighter in weight then my other gowns and generally just seems poor by comparison. Probably not a keeper.

AmethystMoonShine · 22/09/2020 11:35

@Countmeout I found the chalkboard dress came up small. I needed a 12 to fit my shoulders in, and 12 is my ‘real life’ size. All my other Toast dresses are 10 or S. I have the black/biscuit colour and it is dark for Toast, but luckily it suits my colouring (ghost white skin, green eyes & red hair).
Glad you like your lilac blouse, I fell in love with that but lilac makes me look like a corpse Sad, I’m envious of those that suit lilac! It’s a beautiful item.

Countmeout · 22/09/2020 13:10

Your colouring sounds lovely @AmethystMoonShine. The dress was of course a beautiful quality.

AmethystMoonShine · 22/09/2020 13:43

@Countmeout it is lovely quality.
Speaking of which I’m currently in ‘talks’ with Toast about the belt on my Kala dress, it’s been worn & washed once. The ends have frayed Sad

Toast the fourth!
Saurus72 · 22/09/2020 14:02

God that’s not good @AmethystMoonShine . Toast is known for being amazing quality and I have things from over 10 years ago that look like new. But now quality seems to be suffering - the white linen t-shirt from the JL sale has shrunk by around 3 inches on the length. The H&M version I bought hasn’t and the original cost of the Toast T was £55. Ok if it’s bulletproof and amazing quality. But it isn’t 😕

AuldFox · 22/09/2020 15:14

Oh so not acceptable from Toast amethyst I hope they replace it for you!

AmethystMoonShine · 22/09/2020 15:26

They’ve asked me to send the dress & belt back so they can “assess the perceived fault”..... which annoyed me a bit. It’s hardly about my perception.... it has frayed!Hmm
