It is a bit 'amish' but i like quirky!

I dug my Toast calf-length indigo denim skirt out of the back of the wardrobe this morning on the back of this thread. I bought it in last year's sale, I think, and haven't really worn it.

We live in an area which has a large Plymouth Brethren community, where the women all tend to wear long denim skirts, and I think I just made an odd connection in my head once I tried it on (the PBs I know are delightful people but it's not an aesthetic I really aspire to).

Anyway, it wasn't cheap even in the sale and it's so beautifully made and comfy that, actually, I'm going to embrace the PB look more frequently

I ordered it, so we will see. If it doesn’t work, I will just need to wait till next year and eBay it.

Great shoes by the way, pearl. Did you buy your usual size, even though they are men’s? I love them, and see they have a 7 in stock...

@MotherofPearl, another Clark’s Originals fan here; my favourites are some navy blue Harris Tweed Desert Boots. I must dig them out of the wardrobe. I’ve recently bought some navy Wallabee boots for the four-year-old in the Arket sale; I think I must be reliving my Mod phase!

Yes I just bought my normal size which is a 7. I used to be a 6 until pretty recently but now I seem to usually take a 7.

I have been lurking on all four Toast threads but am now joining you all, my Toasty pals. I would like to ask @StyleandBeautyfail about the Gingham Cotton Cashmere culottes you mentioned up the thread a bit. I ordered the Gingham Cotton Cashmere dress along with some cheeky sale things, not expecting much, but apart from being too small (lockdown pounds will not shift), it is beautiful, and the fabric far better than I imagined. But culottes are something I love, so would really like to try them. But where are they? I cannot find them online, and I even got in touch with customer services and they don’t know anything about them either! Please tell us more @StyleandBeautyfail. My parcel has arrived but I’m at work! Anyone else?

My parcel has arrived too: it's big and a mix of sale and things for the autumn/winter (I had a 20% off code). I am working from home so haven't opened it since it arrived around 10am!

My sale bargains arrived today too.
Mustardy twill coat a bit meh. Not bright enough compared to online photo so not a good colour for me.
Mustardy t shirt @£25 much brighter and v nice. Am wearing right now.
Bamboo slips possibly very usefjl an half price but not very exciting. May keep darker coloured one. Think a smaller size would have been better.
White cotton poplin shirt v nice. Lovely fabric and good shape.

I bought some of the bamboo slips too. Got both S and M as I couldn’t decide which size. And I still can’t. M is a bit gapey under the arms, but S is very neat and I fear for any shrinkage. Anyone have these and washed them?
Also got the multi check kimono, which is beautiful but comically long on me (I am 5ft1). A definite trip hazard, so that is going back.

Scottishmouse, is the multi check kimono the size medium? If so, would you consider selling to me if I covered your postage and PayPal fees? I had it in my basket and it disappeared before my eyes. x

Mine is here as well. Breeks (another colour of ones I bought from JL) and white poplin shirt. Haven’t opened yet. Hoping my side button dress arrives tomorrow.

I got some of my dresses, keeping the Ume dress in size 10 (very swishy!) but the kiku print dress in 10 is going back as it’s tight across the bust. The print is too busy for me as well.

I don’t think the other ones I ordered will be dispatched, they’re probably OOS.

Sorry @ToastCosILoveIt, it’s an XS/S. And not massive, I would say, so probably no good to you. How annoying, you have to be so quick in the sales.

Did you all opt for special/next day delivery, as I ordered my items on Thursday and have only just received dispatch confirmation emails? But not yet for the Moroccan stripe wool gauze dress which is the thing I want more than anything!

Does anyone have the Hereu loafers? Can’t decide if they are worth a punt or if really I will not wear them much given I’m WFH for the foreseeable and am either in Saltwater sandals or Blundstone boots to walk the kids to school/go to the supermarket/park/etc.

Ordered Thursday, dispatch email Friday, arrived this morning and already returned via post office this afternoon!

Properly sulking now, I’m clearly a Toast Z-lister! Just to say, I’ve taken a quick peek at the site and a whole load of new (old) stock has been added, including the Kisawa print pyjamas and a lovely rosebud print nightdress (Moominmamma backs away slowly to avoid being crushed in the ensuing melee...)

My Dhuggie arrived today, ordered last Thursday on standard delivery... which I seem to be getting for free now

Gosh so busy here this afternoon. My dispatch email was Friday morning but my delivery is tomorrow- always a day after the mainland. I love the rosebud nighty, would match my dressing gown. I’m trying to sit on my hands.
The full length dressing gowns are very long @ScottishMouse, I’m 5’4” and just about get away with it. Have to be very careful on the stairs when carrying my breakfast up.
Fingers crossed for everyone that they get what they ordered/ get their delivery soon.

My parcel arrived today and I'm delighted with the lightweight merino jumper and the multi check kimono. Though my DC made fun of me when I tried the kimono on. My DD told me 'you look like an old grandpa in that'. They certainly keep any chance of vanity in check!

It is very long but I'm 5.7 so it is okay. I can see how it might be a trip hazard!
