@goldpendant yes I think you’re right. Back it goes! I’ll keep the other two tops.

Railingsohno · 20/07/2020 23:40

@BerniceBobsHerHair love the dress and the Vans! Do you wear socks with them? Mine give me blisters!

AuldFox · 20/07/2020 23:43

Ooh thank you @Moominmammaatsea and @BerniceBobsHerHair the dress looks amazing on you! Hope mines a keeper too.

AuldFox · 20/07/2020 23:52

Aw sorry the fairisle jumper was itchy @Railingsohno but I like the rest. I have the Mexican tile dress, will wear on holidays (belted!) I like it on you too, but I agree with returning if it’s not “you”.

Railingsohno · 20/07/2020 23:58

@AuldFox it’s a lovely jumper and I think it would look amazing on someone with different colouring to me.

I’m actually going to a Toast shop tomorrow. How exciting!

Countmeout · 21/07/2020 08:07

Great purchases everyone.

@Railingsohno you’ll have to report back on your visit to an actual shop for those of us who almost never get to one.

paintyhands · 21/07/2020 09:04

I am a bit like you @Moominmammaatsea and let my new clothes settle in the wardrobe for a while before wearing but today, after a couple of weeks, I am in my new indigo pleat front trousers - very voluminous but I love them. And an older Toast jumper, I have realised, so I’m very Toasty today!

I like it on you .

Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2020 09:10

Looks good Painty👍. Love the belt with it..

AmethystMoonShine · 21/07/2020 09:38

I have the Mexican tile top, and love the print.
I actually think the dress looks lovely belted on you @Laska2Meryls, very flattering.

Saurus72 · 21/07/2020 09:39

Love the Mexican tile dress on you both, orange v good.

Well, I’ve just ordered this www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/c1nbh/painted+spot+print+silk+dress.htm

Really really not sure about the fabric tbh - will need to try it to see if I can pull it off or if it just makes me look ill. Have been looking at it for months and months and it’s really now or never so we’ll see.

Really really have to stop shopping now though - in the past 24 hours I’ve ordered 2 x cashmere jumpers from JL, this dress and a cardi from Toast. I’m eBaying loads of stuff at the moment so I have created space in my east drive but still 🙄

Saurus72 · 21/07/2020 09:58

East drive??? Wardrobe

Alsohuman · 21/07/2020 10:08

I’m actually going to a Toast shop tomorrow. How exciting!

Interested to see how it goes. I tried last week. It might have been open but it looked closed and pretty unwelcoming. I could see the sale rail through the window but have no idea what was on it.

Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2020 10:34

@Saurus72

East drive??? Wardrobe
I just thought that you were Vair Posh and had a stately home Saurus!
Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2020 10:37

Id love to go to our reopened JL to see what they had (I say 'our' , but its on the mainland..) but that would mean 2 buses and a ferry atm, as DH is away again and has taken the car away with him .....

Ill have to be brave and catch the bus to hairdressers on Thursday ..

Saurus72 · 21/07/2020 10:48

@Laska2Meryls Oh did I forget to mention my lady of the manor status..? That’s why all the knitwear is needed - draughty castle 👑

Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2020 10:53

You need some good tweed skirts as well Saurus (and dogs.. lots of them , the bigger and hairier the better) they will keep you warm..

AmethystMoonShine · 21/07/2020 11:37

Just got through to JL about my striped linen jumper which I'd ordered on 9/7 and still hadn't arrived....apparently it is considered lost and so they've refunded me. Good service but I really wanted the jumper!

AuldFox · 21/07/2020 12:10

That’s a shame @AmethystMoonShine hope you find an even better replacement Flowers it’s so disappointing when that happens

Countmeout · 21/07/2020 12:14

Maybe it’ll turn up @AmethystMoonShine , when I ordered the ivar jacket it too forever to arrive.
I think I need an east drive for my clothes!

Are Toast shops ever really busy? Could be the perfect shopping environment in the current circs.

AuldFox · 21/07/2020 12:19

I’ve only ever been to the Chelsea shop and that’s not usually busy but it’s a small shop so social distancing would be difficult.

Saurus72 · 21/07/2020 12:28

They’re always quiet when I’ve been in, particularly Cambridge. I wonder if you can try things on? Otherwise maybe not much advantage over online.

Though I am craving seeing things in real life instead of on a screen. My perfect day would be to meet friends for brunch, then go into London, wander round Islington to all the lovely little shops including (IMHO) the best Toast, then meet a friend to go to The Royal Academy then a late lunch at Brasserie Zedel followed by cocktails.

Not possible for a while though...

AmethystMoonShine · 21/07/2020 12:28

@Auldfox and @Countmeout thank you - I did order the Juniper jumper last night, so if that is nice, that'll be some compensation.

Although, I am rather hoping it might turn up eventually - fingers crossed!

Laska2Meryls · 21/07/2020 12:43

The new Poetry A/W catalogue which arrived today has some rather nice stuff..
.Just saying....Wink
