Wow! What a flurry of action and excitement!
I’ve had a day of reckoning today and have decided to keep the following items:
Seth linen shirt (adore this)
Poplin overshirt (a contentious one here but I love it and love the simplicity and luxurious thread count of the fabric)
Ivar indigo jacket (worn to death already)
Ikat skirt (ditto)
White linen boy T-shirt (very sheer but very pretty)
Ashley jeans (collected today from my Co-op and will be a very useful, if slightly boring, wardrobe staple)
Ash green cotton linen coat dress (biding my time till I give this beauty a twirl)
Faustina’s shirt (I’m sure it has another name but it will live on in my mind as the Faustina shirt)
Navy/parchment wool/cotton cropped sweater (already working hard to earn its keep as an essential accessory for this glorious summer!)
Jude trousers (they fit really surprisingly well and make me feel like a cross between Katharine Hepburn and a Land Girl)
And...I have two burnt red linen T-shirts due for collection tomorrow.
There will be several returns - including the beautiful Kado dress - but I’m delighted that I love everything I’ve bought, I can visualise them working hard for many years to come in my life and they were all bought in the JL 70 per cent off sale. Even better, no children were starved or households were bankrupted in the making of the new Moominmamma wardrobe. And my Hermes delivery driver will soon be able to retire to Necker Island!
Plus, it’s been absolutely glorious during these unsettled times to bond with such a fabulous group of women over a fairly random, but extremely passionate, love for a niche brand of clothing. Fellow carrot-growing, lentil-weaving, Guardian-reading, ceramics-loving ladies, I salute you and thank you for the glimpses you’ve given me into your wardrobes and lives.
