She looks stunning, and so lovely that the dress and tiara was leant to her by the queen ?

I love the story and she just looks so happy. She's wearing the dress and not the other way around. It's lovely.

Papyrus · 19/07/2020 22:19

I’m guessing you didn’t like the sleeves @CokeEnStock? 😂

CallarMorvern · 19/07/2020 22:19

It's lovely. I really don't like OTT weddings and dresses, but this is subtle and lovely. Beautiful setting and flowers. Does anyone have a picture of what the dress looked like when the Queen wore it?

MawnyStannit · 19/07/2020 22:20

It’s incredible. So different to any other wedding dress, I wonder if it will start a trend? Let’s hope so. How sweet of the Queen!

lightyearsahead · 19/07/2020 22:20

She looked absolutely beautiful.

incognitomum · 19/07/2020 22:22

Gorgeous and she has an amazing figure.

Here's the queen wearing it.

It looks brilliant and I love the way it has been reworked.

Drbrowns · 19/07/2020 22:30

I think she looks gorgeous. It really suits her but could have done with being a Tiny bit longer.

LittleHootie · 19/07/2020 22:35

Lovely! I love how her hair and make up are so natural, the dress is pretty and not a big statement, and the surroundings are so classy too. I hope they had a wonderful day.

I'm not a royalist but I think she gets a fair bit of shit from people for no good reason, and all this awfulness about her dad must be tough. So I hope she is happy and had a wonderful day!

Imissmoominmama · 19/07/2020 22:37

I like it better with the sleeves, and I like the length too. I wondered about it smelling musty, but I think there is probably someone employed just to look after the Queen’s wardrobe. It’s the nicest royal wedding (actually the nicest any wedding) dress I’ve seen. The flowers are beautiful and they just look so happy!

Gingerkittykat · 19/07/2020 22:39

It's beautiful, far nicer than the dresses with miles of trains which would have been inappropriate for a low key wedding anyway.

The sleeves would have been for modesty in the church.

Redcrayons · 19/07/2020 22:42

I’m not keen on the sleeves, I suppose she wanted to cover her shoulders for church.

However she looks beautiful and it’s such a lovely idea to wear one of the Queens dresses.
Very appropriate considering everything that’s going on at the moment.

BobFleming · 19/07/2020 22:42

I am not a fan of the dress but love the sentiment.

LadyMuck111 · 19/07/2020 22:43

I love it apart from the sleeves

saraclara · 19/07/2020 22:44

I'm not into the royals or into weddings. But I thought this whole thing was really touching.

A friend used to work for the royals and he said that Beatrice is the nicest of them all by a country mile. A genuinely sweet and kind person. So yep, good for her.

Highfivemum · 19/07/2020 22:47

She looks amazing as did her sister when she got married recently. Considering they have both been slated for their dress sense over the years they certainly shut up all the critics.

pandafunfactory · 19/07/2020 22:50

I think the length is deliberate so you can walk without needing to lift it for steps.

whenwillthemadnessend · 19/07/2020 22:50

When I first saw it I wasn't sure but as it was the Queens and I think that's a really lovely idea to reuse a dress especially for something as special as your wedding day I like the puff sleeves they are very of the moment I suspect a resurgence of weeks leave the wedding gowns will be shortly coming

whenwillthemadnessend · 19/07/2020 22:51

That should of read resurgence of puff sleeves!

Irishgurl · 19/07/2020 22:52

The dress might be slightly shorter as they walked to the church from the house. The hem would be blacking if it was longer.

Irishgurl · 19/07/2020 22:53

Black sorry not blacking!

Haworthia · 19/07/2020 22:54

I love it. I adore vintage dresses anyway but particularly love the jewels. I didn’t like Meghan and Eugenie’s dresses much because they were so plain.

Hiccupiscal · 19/07/2020 22:56

Gorgeous. Simple. Stunning. With history.
I love that the wedding was low key and she just looks so happy.
I think it was just so classy and touching, unlike some of the other royals

Geometricprince · 19/07/2020 22:59

I really love the dress but I'm not keen on the added puffy sleeves, I guess she wanted to cover her arms for church. She looks beautiful and so happy though so who cares what I think Grin
