Over 40’s top 5 make up must haves

If you are over 40 what 5 make up items can you not live without (slightly dramatic).
I need a refresh. Money no object.

A brow pencil, never needed anything in my 30s/ early 40s but makes a difference now. Currently using either primark (fantastic for the price) or IT Cosmetics.

Converted to No7 Hydraluminous foundation, after years of using EL double wear . Doesn't last as long but more flattering.

A light powder to avoid looking sweaty. Currently like Revolution hydramat.

A light bronzer! Never used bronze or blush before but a tiny light swipe is actually very flattering. Mine is cheap as chips (actually cheaper) from Boots. natural collection.

Decent brow pencil and brow fix - currently Benefit
Urban Decay fixing spray
Trinny London BBF cream and miracle blur (think that’s what they are called)

Becca undereye
Hourglass ambient lighting ghost edit (though only if pale - they do a medium type version but nothing for deeper skin tones in a palette collection which is bullshit)
NARS radiant creamy concealer
A nude Lisa Eldridge lipstick to suit skin tones
Lancôme grandiose mascara

Brow powder - I have a boots no 7 one but running out and they don’t make it any more.
Bourjois smoky eye pencil in brown or grey - I stocked up when I heard they were pulling out of the uk.
Lancôme Teint Miracle/ Boots hydra luminous foundation but only a tiny amount.
Tiny amount of creamy blusher.
Rimmel nude lip gloss. I wear brighter lipstick if I’m going anywhere fancy.

Nars radiant creamy concealer
Glossier cloud paint blusher OR Stila convertible, can also be used on lips
Glossier boy brow
Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue
Mascara but I have not found the one’

Red lipstick
Grey eyebrow pencil
Grey/navy mascara

All non negotiable and various brands because life’s too short to stick with one.

I wish I could buy newrly everything mentioned!

Becca eye corrector fans: is it a cream or a concealer? Would I need a concealer as well?

I’m also going to try No 7 hydraluminous foundation next time, looks fab and much cheaper than Clinique!

I have the Becca thing - it came as part of a set - and it looks really strange on me. If anyone would like it DM me and I will stick it in the post to you. It’s probably not full size and has been tried a couple of times.

I have eBay stuff ending this week so can post with that.

Absolute must have - benefit porefessional primer

Chantecaille gel foundation (takes years off me, but unfortunately pricey at about £70)

Benefit they’re real mascara (no smudging, comes off easily with Garnier micellar water with the pink lid)

Urban decay eyeshadow primer - the original one

MUA 12 eyeshadow palette from Superdrug for about £4 - amazing value

Sun protector and lipstick which can also double up as a quick blush....Oh and mascara....Ready to go....
