Bernice love the jumpsuit bet you will get a lot of wear out of it. I also returned the Kado dress because couldn't think when I would wear it and hadn't thought of putting something underneath it doh!

Pikachubaby · 28/06/2020 21:36

I am still undecided about the blue check dress

Last week I bought the yellow print kimono which is a dream

Do love a toast item of quality

Saurus72 · 28/06/2020 21:53

I couldn’t agree more - I’d rather have 3 lovely Toast things (from the sale...) than 10 cheaply made things that don’t fit properly and fall apart.

Railingsohno · 28/06/2020 22:29

@BerniceBobsHerHair that jumpsuit and dress are absolutely lovely on you! Thanks re. the dresses. Smile not really true but I’ll take it! Grin

@ilovecherries I really love that dress, the Kaka one 💗 Again it could work in winter with a layer under. I’m all about the cosy!

@Saurus72 @Moominmammaatseawise you are both wise! I still buy too much and don’t wear it. Been buying more in lockdown due to stress I think!

@faustina thanks!

@Alsohuman I do tend to wear things into the ground too. I’m not very imaginative or creative about how to put clothes together. I need to invest a bit of time rather than just buying new things!

Countmeout · 29/06/2020 07:20

Yes love that jumpsuit @BerniceBobsHerHair

My Kado is a keeper despite the nakedness (holiday only )
It goes with 3 other things so it’s ok to keep - a self imposed rule

count excellent rule!
I nabbed a cheaper ikat skirt from JL today day and the green linen jumper
So the Toast ikat skirt will definitely go back

ilovecherries · 29/06/2020 08:42

I have my final sale stuff arriving today. Ume in steel and the linen slub jumper in olive. I’m really pleased with all my purchase and have added about 6 beautiful items to my wardrobe (although the Ume dress and the linen jumpers will be packed away for a few months).

AmethystMoonShine · 29/06/2020 08:56

I’ve just ordered a small Zoya dress from JL, having ordered a medium in the same dress from them last week. I bet I end up sending both back! Hoping one might look nice though as I love the print, reminds me of the 80s Grin I desperately want it to look good with DMs.... but suspect I’ll not achieve the look I have in my head hahaha!

AmethystMoonShine · 29/06/2020 08:59

Forgot to add @BerniceBobsHerHair the jumpsuit looks fabulous on you. I have the same one from last year and it worked very hard during holidays to Tuscany and France last summer/autumn. I have still yet to find the perfect cropped cardigan to go with it though. I have a kind of burnt orange in my head but summer weight not woolly.... the search continues.....

Moominmammaatsea · 29/06/2020 09:25

Bernice & Count, thanks for the photos of the different ways in which you have styled the Kado dress; I think I’m going to keep it because the print makes my heart sing and even if I don’t wear it this summer, then there will be other holiday opportunities. Besides, I’ve another four weeks to take advantage of the JL returns policy if I do change my mind.

Laska, glad you managed to nab a cheaper Ikat skirt. I had a peek on the JL site early this morning and I wondered who here would buy what!

Cherries, I have the linen half-sleeve jumper in juniper green and the quality is superb; I wouldn’t pack it away just yet if the weather where you are is anything like it is here!

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2020 09:41

Moomim I thought that also, I was wondering whilst I was checking out if someone here would get in just before I managed to complete the payment! Grin
I ordered that half sleeve jumper in green also , glad to hear that its good...am a bit unsure about the sleeve length but thought I would give it a go.

Railingsohno · 29/06/2020 10:25

What size was the Ikat skirt? I wonder if it was my return? Grin

faustina · 29/06/2020 11:05

ha - yes, I was also wondering if any of you would be sitting like me, furiously refreshing the page. I bought the orange boy tee-shirt and the natural linen trousers (I have given up on the Alix in slate now, because I have bought so much else!)

Does anyone have those linen trousers? I am wondering about the sizing and fit

Railingsohno · 29/06/2020 11:44

What time do these come up? Shall I set my alarm? Grin

Saurus72 · 29/06/2020 11:45

My white linen boy t-shirt arrived and it’s really lovely, very soft. I wouldn’t have paid £55 but for £16.50 v v happy 😊.

ilovecherries · 29/06/2020 11:45

Omg, I LOVE the Ume dress. Love it, so happy with my purchases. I’m wearing the long sleeve linen jumper in bone today and the olive one which arrived today is also gorgeous. I also have the short sleeve versions in both bone and cinnamon but it’s too cold for them! I did try the juniper one, but mine had a very odd metallic smell - like coins. It’s made me shudder a bit so I sent it back, but it was beautiful and hopefully just a one off issue.

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2020 11:50

Railings I dont think so, its a 14, im hoping it will fit , can usually wear 14 Toast skirts , but it does say the waist is small .. Yours was a 10 wasn't it? . There was a 10 there..
Im other news , I just wore my blue workwear jacket down to the Co op , its a 12 , but I think maybe. I should have got a 10. Anyway its mine now..
Have been complimented on it , Dh said it was a Monty Don jacket ! ( But he liked it)

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2020 11:52

Also Toast sizing ! I have the linen check skirt in 12 and some things in 10.. , Its the fixed waist thats often small I find

AmethystMoonShine · 29/06/2020 11:58

I agree @Laska2Meryls I have Toast items in 10, 12, S and M.... I’m a normal 12 (generous Grin) and it’s the fixed waists I struggle with.
I’ve just received the gold coloured work wear skirt in 12.... debating whether to keep. I like it and it would be handy but it’s a teeny bit snug on the hips. That said I have a few extra lockdown pounds at present so suspect it’s would normally be just right.
I must attend to my crisps and wine/gin diet Blush

paintedwolf · 29/06/2020 12:19

@faustina Does anyone have those linen trousers? I am wondering about the sizing and fit

Yes I have those -
I am a 12 in Boden trousers and got the S. They have a long rise and are a bit baggy in the crotch area BUT the linen is lovely and soft, I have been stalking the blue ones on the JL site but haven't been lucky and thought I may try the XS.

ilovecherries · 29/06/2020 12:19

It’s the waists on the skirts that get me as well. I had to send back all the skirts I tried, I had to go up do much in the waist they are crazy big on the hips so I ended up looking like a square.

FiddleFigs · 29/06/2020 12:19

Anyone bought the cotton canvas tapered trousers? I'm v tempted but can't decide on size.

Laska2Meryls · 29/06/2020 12:22

Amethyst its frustrating eh? Toast seem to think we are all 1950s waist sizes !
re: gold skirt : I'd say keep it if you bought from JL, really like it and think it will easily fit post a short diet. Or if its from Toast and more expensive, maybe return? (and see if it reduces further?) ..

AmethystMoonShine · 29/06/2020 13:55

@Laska2Meryls the skirt is from JL and was about 34 pounds!!!! So think it’s staying for the reasons you suggest.
I also got the blue striped jumper (the one that keeps pinging back on the JL site) it’s lovely but I got the S and it’s a wee bit tight on the upper arms which I think might annoy me. It was 39 pounds which is a massive reduction but I’m not sure my upper arms will reduce much, I put on muscle there easily Hmm..... so that might go back.

Gonegrey31 · 29/06/2020 14:36

I’ve just received my Lai print dress. Hadn’t appreciated that is more a dark navy background, not black (described as slate). But it’s lovely , just need warmer weather again to wear it!
