Does anyone have the Jude trousers? I was so excited to snaffle a JL sale pair in size 10 yesterday evening, that I didn’t think to read the reviews about size and fit.

ilovecherries · 16/07/2020 12:41

I think laska posted photos up thread?

LanternHill · 16/07/2020 12:59

cherries I have many Toast indigo denim items- dungarees, jeans, pinafores, shirt dress, aprons.. and none has run or transferred colour. Perhaps the twill is different though.
I did order the Ivar jacket too but returned it... for me, there was something overly fussy about the buttons..but probably because I'm drawn to quite plain shapes/ few details.

slipperyeel · 16/07/2020 14:41

Final markdowns being advertised now, there are a few new things. I bought some knee high socks, a candle holder and a full price stripey top which I think will sell out.

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 15:01

slippery that top is still original price , I bought it a couple of weeks ago.
Here are the Steve Mono sandals.. I knew I shouldn't have sent for them 🙄

I nabbed the striped boy Tee though today 👍

faustina · 16/07/2020 15:16

Was that the blue and white one @Laska2Meryls?

LanternHill · 16/07/2020 15:18

They're lovely laska. I ordered those sandals a few months ago but alas too narrow for my wide feet 🙄 and I bought the fracap shoes instead. Which I think are probably a bit niche in terms of taste!

faustina · 16/07/2020 15:20

about colour transferance with indigo - I've been wearing my Ivar jacket non-stop, with usually a dark top underneath, but I'm currently using a mustard coloured bag from Madewell and I've just checked and there are no blue marks

faustina · 16/07/2020 16:45

Just finished dying the red linen t-shirt and I'm really pleased with the result - thanks so much for all the advice!

As you can see - and as you said it would, the thread has stayed red but I think it looks great like that

The red thread looks lovely, great result. Has anyone bought this rather Toastesque brand? I’m pretty tempted by the linen trousers, particularly since they come in three lengths and I’m a shortarse.

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 16:55

Faustina yes it was the blue and white. Have you got it? I am hoping that it isnt too short on me..

faustina · 16/07/2020 17:31

@Laska2Meryls - yes I have! I bought it in large and loved it and was going to keep despite it being big, but yesterday they had one in small so I'm waiting for it to be delivered. It's not too short - well, the large one isn't

paintyhands · 16/07/2020 17:33

@Alsohuman I haven’t, but I like a link to Toast-like brands. I’ll join in by saying that I love Folk Clothing. www.folkclothing.com/collections/shop-all-womens?page=3
Anyone else?

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 17:38

I got the M Faustina but would have preferred the L !!🤞 the M is ok , if not ill have to look for your return if sale still on

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 20:49

aha! It came back in the L so ordered it!Smile
Faustina forgot to say, the dye job looks great 👍

faustina · 16/07/2020 20:53

@Laska2Meryls - oh good! Glad you bagged one!

Thanks for liking the dye job - I have just spent half an hour wiping out the washing machine door seal so am feeling a bit resentful right now - grrr

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 21:06

Get some HG Service engineer
I always wipe the door seal and glass thoroughly and then run an empty wash with this ... Never had dye transfer yet

Laska2Meryls · 16/07/2020 21:07

Its good stuff to use anyway a few times a year..

Zinnia · 16/07/2020 22:30

@faustina t-shirt looks great! What dye did you use?

faustina · 17/07/2020 05:57

@Laska2Meryls - thank you - I'll see what they have at the supermarket today. I'm wondering if perhaps it was some kind of mould and not dye?
Anyway, I'm doing a test wash on an old white sheet to see if it's all gone. Must admit I don't usually clean that bit!

@Zinnia I used Dylon Machine Dye in black - you put the whole container in the washing machine, run a wash, then add laundry liquid and do a wash, then afterwards run the machine empty once (I did that last step three times!)

Laska2Meryls · 17/07/2020 07:11

I have never seen it in supermarkets, Faustina, Lakeland have it and so do a lot of hardware stores if you still have one near you. Yes it's just a likely to be build up of washing powder as well that has caused it but the dye may have exaggerated it..

Laska2Meryls · 17/07/2020 07:12

JL have a lot of the new Toast range in nowSmile ,

Countmeout · 17/07/2020 07:25

Yes lots of bits of new stuff. Making a mental list of what I’d like if I had any money. Not going to be this month.
