So I ordered the Lydia jumpsuit [ non-sale], fabric belt, charcoal linen jacket and the tiered dress [charcoal and teal in the sale]
They all should arrive tomorrow.
Black sateen dress going back. Fit is lovely but I hate the material. Its like a brushed cotton and looks bobbly already. Don't know where the 'sateen' comes from. I cant see it!

Oh and strangely enough on the sateen dress, there is a hole in the pocket! Weird.

Actually this is an old stock photo. However they were a kind of staple.
They aren't collared though as I thought. I had one in grey. It was lovely.

seasalt don't have them on their website right now but you could try ebay. Not sure if they will get them in next season. Worth looking out for.

Sorry your cardigan is disappointing @paintyhands. I agree it’s quite generous but I’m keeping mine. If there’d been a small I might have tried it but I though it might have been too skimpy in small. I don’t think I’ll find anything like it. The similar jumper from the previous sale is maybe slightly more tightly knit but I have washed the jumper and it tightened it up without shrinking it . It loosens on wear again from memory. My plan is to wear it round the house in winter, it definitely wouldn’t be right for me under a jacket/coat.

Update on tag removal: spoke to someone just now and they're going to see if Cambridge will give me their postal details so I can post it to them and have it removed. Hopefully someone from the store will call me back today. And in the meantime I'm stalking another (tag free) return on the website

applecatchers36 jumper looks so chic!

@faustina - my stripy top just arrived but I’m sending it back. Colours were good and I knew it was a gamble to order XL but it was really just too big, not in a ‘boyfriend’ style just in a frumpy unflattering way. Oh well, that’s me done with sale shopping. Feel quite relieved to stop looking tbh 😉

@Saurus72 - yes, quite a strange shape wasn't it - neat on top and then sort of A line. I completely understand the relief - I will also be happy once my shirt is sorted!

Well, my monkey shoes are going straight back. My feet took one look at them and burst into tears. Total instruments of torture. Ivar jacket also came. It’s an odd shape on me - baggy on the shoulders but pulling slightly on the hips. I honk I will send the workwear jacket back as well - it’s lovely but every time I put it on I feel it drowns me. I have the Kala coming again at the new price and will send back my original, and will also send the red Ume back, I prefer the steel to the extent I know I won’t choose the red over it. So these are pretty substantial refunds.

How did you like the Aimé in terms of drape and shape?

The Ume is lovely pickachu. Very flowy. I just feel the red won’t get worn because colour-wise the steel suits me better. It’s quite a straight, loose fit.

Toast Alix in 12. Too big? I like them rolled up. And Toast slate linen both from JL

@applecatchers36, that jumper looks absolutely lovely on you; it’s funny how these Toast threads have made me reassess how I look at garments and think about my style (such as it is). I would never have considered that jumper in a million years for myself previously a) because of the colour (children and generally messy as a human being) and b) I would have ruled it out as being too ‘boring’. However, it looks so elegant and flattering on you that I’m now kicking myself for my silly prejudices and stuck-in-a-rut attitudes and wishing I’d managed to buy one of these in the JL sale!

@faustina, I’m relieved to hear there may soon be a positive resolution on tag-gate!

@Laska2Meryls - I have both those pairs of trousers - in fact I'm wearing the slate ones for the first time today. They look great on you. The Alix look lovely turned up (it's how I wear mine) - they don't look too big, though you could easily try a size down before deciding?

Faustina I will if they come back in JL they are not in the Toast sale .

Laska, I like the trousers on you and I particularly like the leg length in your final picture, where you have rolled them over at the waist. Are you proposing to keep both? If not, my personal vote would be for the slate linen pair; they look gorgeous teamed with the bone sweater.

I bought this (in the blue jade, which really is a slate grey) to cover my ever-so-comfy but slightly-battered 25-year-old sofa, and we all love it!

Alix are great @Laska2Meryls. That’s a more versatile colour than it looked online. Do they feel too big? Alix is bound to go into the next between season sale but probably never as cheap as JL.

I have the Ume @Pikachubaby and it hangs beautifully. I’m the opposite of @ilovecherries , the burgundy suits me and the steel grey did nothing for me.

Moominmuma I was looking at that earlier, was dreaming of having it in my campervan.. ( but its a bit too expensive for that I think )

The questions is , if it goes down do I rebuy stuff that I have paid 65% off for ? 🤔 Actually thats only a couple of things , I have got most from JL
