@MaudesMum I have the same question as @Saurus72 Grin

Saurus72 · 13/07/2020 11:23

Also, is the stock the same as the sale stock on the Toast website? Sorry, questions questions!

Laska2Meryls · 13/07/2020 11:46

I'd love to go to the Toast outlet... Do they have returns period the same as usual? I have seen one particular ebayer often selling Toast who lives in Shepton Mallet... I am sure she buys stock from the outlet Angry

Laska2Meryls · 13/07/2020 11:47

But of course she doesn't sell it at outlet prices.
I wish Toast had outlet online like lots of other companies do

balkanscot · 13/07/2020 12:42

@Moominmammaatsea yes, yes to nice bedlinen. I usually go for the White Company but I feel like I need some change. Lovely bed linen on Soak & Sleep website - is the pure linen worth it? I have been thinking about it but was always put off by the price.

@Countmeout I am the same re: Seasalt. Everything is a bit... drab. Although I would love to like it as it’s credentials seem great. But, alas... I have only bought 2 Breton striped T-shirts. Dungarees seem to be almost identical to the Toast ones, apart from the back. At first I thought Seasalt’s back was better but the more I think about it the more I think Toast’s dungarees’ back seems more flattering. It’s just... £150!!! 😢

balkanscot · 13/07/2020 12:50

@neveradullmoment99 I tried a couple of pieces from Hush (not dungarees) and the quality was a bit... it all got a bit shapeless after a few washes and some things started coming apart at the seams (everything was washed according to care instructions)! 😲 Although I do have 2 pairs of their Harem trousers which are OK (I have been living in them during lockdown), much more flattering than wearing tracksuit bottoms.

Gonegrey31 · 13/07/2020 13:30

Loads more sale stock on the Toast website, including things I've not seen before. I've already spent enough so I'm not buying but everyone else, have a look!

slipperyeel · 13/07/2020 13:47

@Gonegrey31 - thanks. I’ve bought 5 dresses, a bag, a nightdress and 2 T-shirts so I really need to hold off. Waiting for the autumn sale now!

Squiz81 · 13/07/2020 14:24

I keep looking at this
www.toa.st/uk/product/all+sale/c7ndg/light+cotton+check+shirt.htm?categoryref=%2fbasket.aspx&pcat=all+sale&adimage=&clr=C7NDG_RedEcru_sw

The colour looks quite different in the pictures used and I’m worried it will be a bit low. Has anyone got it?

Countmeout · 13/07/2020 14:36

I was charging my iPad, and dozed off! Sitting on my hands. I do like the pyjama style top with the red and mustard flowers, in fact I bought it in John Lewis in the winter sale and returned it. I couldn’t find anything in my wardrobe it went with as the background colour Is neither black nor navy, and the red trousers I have weren’t the right red. But I do like it. And the mariner jumper ( but have enough jumpers) . Lots of socks, none the type I have though and not especially well reduced.

Did you actually get to a shop @Railingsohno , I was just wondering if they’ve cleared the sale stuff out of shops now. And a few more bits might trickle through.

Quite tempted by this - I live in dresses and this looks v easy to wear www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/c1lme/tiger+lily+print+dress.htm

Also this: www.toa.st/uk/product/womens+dresses+and+tunics/c1meo/tokyo+tie+waist+dress.htm

Or! I should probably sit on my hands and not buy anything at all tbh!

Laska2Meryls · 13/07/2020 14:49

I thinknk its all been on previously and at same prices, just they seem to have found more. I can recommend the gingham pjs though👍

Ordered a couple of silk shirts I missed out on at the start of the sale. Thanks for the heads up! Smile
Laska2Meryls · 13/07/2020 15:11

The Spice short sleeve cotton jumper came and straight back in the bag and on its way back , I dont like the colour on me..

Railingsohno · 13/07/2020 16:23

Thank you! Just bought the ochre Fairisle jumper, the Osaka tunic which I’ve been eyeing for a while, the chambray round neck short sleeved shirt and the red linen print tunic. Hoping they’re not all keepers! Shock

Moominmammaatsea · 13/07/2020 16:23

@balkanscot, sorry, work is - rather irritatingly - getting in the way of me reading and pouting here! Yes, the S&S French linen is super quality and is worth every penny, especially if you can catch one of the 40% off sales. Plus, they do bundles ie fitted sheet, duvet cover and two pillowcases (double set) which are heavily reduced from the individual item prices. I have white sets and my girls chop and change between white, midnight grey, duck egg blue and dusky/dusty pink, which all work together in a complementary or contrasting way. I have found the sets to be soft, comfortable, stylish and very low maintenance (no ironing even without a dryer) so all my boxes are ticked!

Moominmammaatsea · 13/07/2020 16:24

@balkanscot, sorry, I meant to add that Soak&Sleep usually have a 40pc off sale for Black Friday, so I stock up then.

Railingsohno · 13/07/2020 16:24

@Saurus72 love that Tiger Lily dress!

I have the fair isle jumper and and Mexican tile print tunic, if that’s what you ordered. I’ve worn the tunic loads already when we had hot weather (it’s warming up again now)

Jumper has been put away for the autumn. Bet you end up keeping it all. Wink

Railingsohno · 13/07/2020 16:40

@Auldfox yes it’s the tile print one. Bit worried about the itch from the jumper but I’ll see when it arrives!

AuldFox · 13/07/2020 16:44

I didn’t find the jumper itchy but I must emphasise that I don’t find any sort of wool itchy, I’m not sensitive to it at all. I know lots of people have skin that only loves very soft wool.

The prices haven’t changed I see, they must’ve just had loads of returns.

Yes I am a sensitive soul when it comes to wool - very annoying.
MaudesMum · 13/07/2020 17:48

Apologies @Railingsohno and @Saurus72 - I went out. I'm not sure about the Returns period - I think its the same as whatever Toast's normal shop returns are. I'm assuming you can buy stuff there and return it to another shop, though? They have a wider range of stock than the sale, but with some crossover with it. They have all sizes, but also have an extra rail or two of sample sizes (which tend to be the small ones). And also have occasional one-offs, like boxes of trousers/rows of coats. Some homewares as well.. They also have a small and separate full-price section carrying current stock.
Prices tend to be the same as the sale, but not always - I've just bought the khaki tie-necked linen shirt that just went on sale on the Toast website - but it's £95 there and I paid £70. Sorry...

Alsohuman · 13/07/2020 17:58

I went to have my hair cut and tried to go into the Toast shop in Cambridge. It looked very unwelcoming, to the point where I was unsure whether or not it was open. I could see a sale rail but obviously I have no idea what was on it. Quite honestly the shops I went into felt horrible, there were very few people around and I’m in no hurry to go again.

ilovecherries · 13/07/2020 18:05

My Alix trousers arrived from JL, love them. Am undecided now about whether I should send the parchment ones from the other day back. DH says I should keep both, but I think the very high waist might/does make my backside look enormous.

Also ordered Solvair shoes from the Toast site. My feet are very difficult so I’m not holding out lots of hope, but just had to try them.
