Hello!

There used to be a lovely what are you wearing today? thread(s) on here for people who were plus size (circa 16/18 and up I think).

Could anyone tell me if they've seen one lately please? If there isn't one on the go, would anyone be interested in joining me on here?

I'm size 16/18. Today I'm in a New Look floral dress and DM boots. Pic attached (hopefully).

@Wagsandclaws you look amazing in those pics! My favourite is the long floral skirt outfit 😍. I too, have gained weight recently; a scary amount in my case. Can I blame lockdown for mine? I don't know anymore. But it is certainly recent and alarmingly rapid weight gain! I am trying to be healthier, with diet, exercise and everything really, in a concerted effort to look after myself a lot better. I am 'princessing'!

Weight gain is partly why I started this thread. I remember the last one was so great for style inspiration and I'm feeling in a bit of a rut. It also gives me a reason to make some effort! Otherwise I am honestly just getting dressed up for my daily walk and school pick up .

@BillyAndTheSillies, I have resorted to hair removal cream. Stinky, but effective, if I ever bother to get round to it.

LadyPrigs that's a jumpsuit, ( again from Sainsbury's TU ) I had it taken in when I lost the extra stone and now it doesn't fit anymore because Ive put a stone back on again and it can't be let out.

Lockdown is for sure the reason I've put on, I had lost five stone in total a year ago then at Christmas a couple of pounds and the rest of the stone since this pandemic.

Princessing is a great idea, good for the psyche I think, I just need to get myself to that place again.

I had a look on Facebook for that plus size what we are wearing today group but can't find it, I'd love to join that as love seeing what other plus sizes are wearing ( even if it is just casual stuff )

Ah you'll get there again I bet @Wagsandclaws! And looking at it another way; you haven't really gained a stone, you've actually lost four, which is really quite an achievement.

If I look back, I know all I've done is gain weight over the past two years . But it has sped up I think, since lockdown started. I definitely think princessing will help a lot. I don't want to lose loads of weight as much as I'd just like to stop gaining it so quickly!

Anyway, enough of my moaning and back to clothes!

That jumpsuit is gorgeous! I will have to have a good look at Sainsbury's online next time I'm shopping.

black levi skinnys and a grey jumper from next. Earlier i was painting outside and was wearing my old leggings from sainsburys and a tunic from h&m splashed with paint and bleach.

Pale blue T-shirt and an old Patterned cotton skirt from Seasalt. I think I look a bit childish, but I’ve been at home all day, so it doesn’t matter.

I have the Facebook group, but I never put pictures of me up, feels too exposed on there.

Size 20/22. I am wearing a green t-shirt and navy dungarees today.

Size 22 and going to the beach today. I've got a bikini on, and a beach cover up shirt with cycling shorts for the trip there

It's going to be boiling hot here in the SE England this week, so I may also be scaring the horses with wearing my bikini tomorrow. My poor neighbours .

@Zebracat yes, I'm a bit wary of SM, after being hacked a few times... I might rejoin FB one day though.

Ladyprig have you got horses too? I've got three so have my scruffy horse days too 🤣 hate riding in summer as can never find anything cool enough to ride in.

I haven't got the nerve to wear a bikini as I'm a funny shape - skinny legs and huge tum and boobs. typical apple shape so look very odd in swimwear.

Oh no, sorry, I don't actually have horses! It was just a figure of speech. I wish I had horses though, as I used to be absolutely mad about them and used to help out at my local stables in the winter school holidays, when I was a teenager. How many do you have? Omg yes, what DO you wear for riding in boiling weather? Shorts must hurt like anything, unless you're going bare back!

Black jersey jumpsuit, with an orange and pink open pyjama style shirt over it, big gold hoops, gold saltwater sandals, hair in a messy topknot tied with an old piece of black velvet ribbon.

Jumpsuit is new look, shirt is from Zara.

I have a horse too, so far has hasn't been scared by my pasty thighs. I just wear normal jods and a t shirt in the summer. I need new chaps and short boots as I'm wearing long boots to ride in atm and that is hot!

Week 14 of working from home. I was determined to keep to my routine and still wear office clothes. I am wearing the less structured end of my work wardrobe but I'm still dressing for work.

I was wearing this dress for "work" today. Tonight I'm wearing cropped denim leggings and a long 3/4 sleeve t-shirt.

I adore that dress @StCharlotte! The print is lovely. I have not been making any effort whatsoever with my looks during lockdown, but I am going to start. I even wore make up today .

I'm did 18 and I'm wearing a jersey dress I bought years ago in the Dominican republic,. It's white with bright fishes around the bottom of the skirt.

@cosmic I have bought some riding tights and they are cooler but still wear long boots for riding as can't be bothered with the faff of chaps.

That dress is lovely @stcharlotte - I miss boots in the summer, I've got some lovely ankle boots.

Talking of boots I also love fairfax and favor - I've got reginas and amiras and I wear them all winter long. They do a 'sporting fit' which has quite a generous fit for chunkier calves.

@LadyPrigsbottom I do indeed! I haven’t ridden in about 5 years due to money and then being pregnant, and then being bloody knackered from a small child, but DS is 3 now so we’ve just started him on some casual lead rein walks and he’s a BIG fan. Having not kept my own horse since I was in my early 20s, I’m a bit reluctant to start all over again with the endless costs and early mornings and tack cleaning and buying of endless hoof picks (how do they always bloody vanish??) but secretly I’d be really pleased if DS learns to ride well!

Mid blue jeggings from a random shop when on holiday in the USA and a blush coloured t shirt from Next.
Not quite warm enough in the North of England for me to break out the shorts just yet!

Size 16. Navy blue next slouchy t shirt. Next blue skinny jeggings and old trainers. I am going to muck pick and groom my daughters pony and clean so I will be disgusting by the end of today.

YY Fenella, horses can be expensive and time consuming! Especially if you're in a part of the world where land is at a premium.

Thank you @poorremus! I'm glad so many people are posting. I love these threads. I do find the plus size version helpful and always find so many ideas on them.

Today I'm in:

T-shirt - 16, Peter Storm (via eBay)
Shoes - Van's (via eBay)

No make up today as it is meant to be a scorcher here and I need to keep putting on sun cream.
