Love the Sezanne haul!

I’ve been out in the park, wearing Monki skirt, Whistles tee, Stan Smiths.

Ellapaella · 17/07/2020 20:03

I love your top @LaGoulueRevenue

Gorgeous summery clothes!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 17/07/2020 20:24

I'm late as usual but @OublietteBravo I absolutely love the darker dress on you. Really fabulous shape (yours and the dress).

Me today - M&S - my working from home standard wardrobe.

Does anyone know how Coast sizes compare to say Hobbs?

@Shannith I know your pictures are you just by the legs! Don't ever worry about them - you're a very lucky lady.

I'm in a repeat today, so no photo. H&M; Lucy & Yak; Birkenstocks. My MIL is jealous of my L&Y but thinks they wouldn't work for her because she 'doesn't have a waist'. How do I convince her that they are the perfect trouser?!

notabelter · 17/07/2020 20:58

@toastfiend I love your trousers. Can I ask how tall you are? I'm not quite 5ft 2, so not are even rolling them up would work on me. They look better on you than on the website!

Sooverthemill · 18/07/2020 08:28

So it's mean to be hot but not sunny! Fast photos as DH was calling me. Excuse towel on floor!

Top : random TK Maxx about 8 years ago Was in charity pile but having second thoughts
Shorts: Boden as yesterday
Sandals: air and grace but actually in flip flops to get rid of tan lines

@sooverthemill definitely keep the top. Goes really well with the white shorts.

@ellapella that's a perfect outfit! Lovely.

Planetaryexplorer · 18/07/2020 10:12

Ellapaella Great look. I love a bit of leopard.
Posting my outfit from last night as it was dh's 40th birthday bash. We had friends over for cocktails in the garden. I finally got my hair cut and it was lovely to feel normal again.
Jeans: Levis
Top: Ralph Lauren
Belt: John Lewis
Sandals: matalan
(although everything except the belt was from Newlife Charity)
You can also have a random picture of my garden as it looked so lovely!

Practical gardening stuff on today.

Vest - converse and decades old
Short dungas - Next via charity shop

Moonfacebiggins · 18/07/2020 11:03

Oops forgot picture

OublietteBravo · 18/07/2020 11:05

No sun here either - it’s overcast and muggy.

Thanks for the comments on the dresses. I’m going to mull it over for a bit before making a final decision. I’d keep them both if I thought I’d be going anywhere where wearing a nice dress was appropriate. But that’s unlikely to be the case at the moment. And I’m reluctant to buy clothes for the future as maintaining my current weight/size seems to be getting more difficult now I’m older.

I found an old pair of sandals in the back of my wardrobe that I probably should wear more often. They’re very comfortable.

Jumper: Next
Jeans: Gap
Sandals: Merrell

@Planetaryexplorer lovely pictures 😊 I really love your garden photo - so pretty, looks like a a lovely country garden. Also loving your belt from John Lewis - how long ago did you get it?

Ellapaella · 18/07/2020 11:33

Lovely sandals @OublietteBravo and @Moonfacebiggins I'm jealous as you obviously have sunshine and warm weather!

Ellapaella It was this one:

I so rarely buy "real" clothes so it was a treat during lockdown

itssquidstella · 18/07/2020 12:24

Lovely outfits @toastfiend, @Ellapaella and @Planetaryexplorer - hope the party was fun!

I just ran my fastest 7km in months so I'm feeling pleased with myself today. Boring outfit though: M&S shorts, All Saints T-shirt and Keramika necklace. Also some sparkly socks I bought in the Accessorize sale yesterday.

@Shannith hope you don’t mind me asking but where do you get your johdpurs? And have you bought any horse wear riding tights before? If so what’s the quality like?

I’m tempted as need a new pair and my instructor was wearing some today. But she rides every day. So for me who rides once a week twice a week max...worth it?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/07/2020 14:50

A rare weekend outfit from me - usually I am in lounge wear but have a friend coming round. Topshop tee, Whistles jeans, uncomfortable Saltwater sandals but not going far!

@Ellapaella I have a very similar leopard belt from Whistles. That one is lovely @Planetaryexplorer

@ememem84 my main ones are Dublin full seat bog standard ones. Super comfy.

I do have some fancy Dublin sticky bum riding tights/breeches which I do not recommend. I bought them when my mare was having a...spirited phase and I thought I needed all the help out there to stick on.

They look nice but are actually not very comfortable at all and I hate hate hate the sticky bum/silicone bit - as does my yard owner.

Yes it makes you stick to the saddle but actually you want to be moving in the saddle not stuck to it. Even when your horse likes to spin every time a leaf moves. My instructor's advice "just ride better Shannith" Grin

Also rising trot = an attractive schlup schlup sound.

If you are comfy in the ones you've got stick with them for a couple of times a week.

I just discovered this group which is good for secondhand bargains

https://www.facebook.com/groups/ridingboots/?ref=share

I sometimes ride in my running leggings or a very old soft pair of jeggjngs - with chaps or boots on top no one can tell and they are just as comfy.

As an aside I realised I'd left all my jods at the stables yesterday so dug out a pair that were at least 20 years old. Man they were made out of the most unyielding, itchy synthetic material. God knows how I used to ride in them - they fit but I could hardly bend my legs!

I think a few of us on the thread ride, from memory @toastfiend and I'm sure some others might be able to recommend.

Shannith · 18/07/2020 18:29

No photo as I'm in super boring gap shorts and and M&S vest.

Pony photo instead. Butter wouldn't melt the little leaf spinning madam.

@lobsterquaille excellent top, but I'm afraid your very stylish mum (I hope I look like that at 90!) wins the thread Smile
