Hello all - new thread

I probably need to stop just throwing a dress on and not accessorising, but today’s dress is Fat Face. I don’t like it, but it was given to me as a gift and it’s actually really comfortable.

Warm here too today, but grey.

I like the dress @Wildernesstips, looks like a go-to kind of dress.

Really grey here too, so I’m wearing the brightest top I could find (from Zara).

DD14 has been to football training this evening, it typically started raining as we dropped her off..........the shirt on the floor started off today pale grey and I think more grass came home than was left on the pitch!!!!

I had no idea next girls shoes went up to a 7..... that makes it a bit more interesting!

I’m size 4 sometimes 3 so often get trainers from the kids section! Sending my Russell and Bromley shoes back because they were too small! I have never needed to go up a size. Grr. They aren’t doing exchanges so I need to wait for refund then reorder. That’s a shop I’d like to live close to.

That's annoying about your shoes soover - I hate it when brands you've been familiar with for ages become i unpredictable with sizes.

I’m continuing with trying to wear something other than jeans. Today’s trousers are corduroy (and a little tighter than they were before lockdown).

I bought this about 5 years ago from Lindy bop. Still had the tags on in my wardrobe! I think I like it now.

Thanks oubliette I tend to live in maxi dresses over the summer (when it's not flipping wet & cold) but they're a bit frowned on in my office so I have a couple of long skirts instead -struggles to work out the different between a long dress and a ling skirt+plus top-
@Wildernesstips I have loads of those FatFace dresses including that pattern, they do the same style in lots of different prints so I have about 6 of them. They're my winter "work uniform" with tights and boots and are v comfy plus they have pockets!!! I have to admit though I first started lurking on these threads when I started to get a bit bored with them..........
No picture today until later as I'm out most of today and the teen was still asleep when I left and the only decent mirror in the house is in her room

@Talisin love your teals. I have them and they're some of my favourites.

Trying a L&Y mini pini again today. I've had them a few times and sold all of them on as they're just SO short. I love the colour of this one, though, and feel OK in it with leggings or v thick tights.

@oubliette, thank you! I thoroughly recommend the fat face dungarees . The wide legs are only in blue at the moment but I bought a pair of the Lewis ones in black for winter ages ago as I didn't want to miss out. They are a great fit.

Have just ordered 2 things from sezanne archives, the terracotta version of @Ellapaella's white jumper plus a top I have had in and out of my basket for ages. Now that it's easier to get DH to go to PO I thought I could take the risk!

@Talisin that's a cool dress - it's like the inverse of the Zara one everyone went mad for last year!

@toastfiend that dress doesn't look too short and I really like the colour.

We left the house today to visit a local National Trust place so I wore jersey trousers from Saint and Sofia and a yellow top and seamless hoodie from Bam topped off with a space print gilet as it was cold and wet. Lovely afternoon out though.

I could do with some honest opinions on how this looks please. Its so different to my normal clothes.

@AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad I’m not too sure about the colour. It looks a bit close to an oil refinery boiler suit for me.

@AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad I think the colour would look great in Autumn. I’m not sure about the matching belt - maybe something different would break up the colour?

@AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad I think it's a bit too long? Maybe roll up or get taken up at the leg and personally I'd roll the sleeves up. With a different colour belt like a PP suggested. Is it corduroy?

Hi I have rolled it up twice at the ankle already but I could take it up no problem. It is cord fabric. Quite thick so for cooler days. I will try the sleeves rolled up although that would mean I cant wear it in the winter. I dont actually have any belts so if I'm going to keep it ill need to make a decision before getting a belt although I think one in a different colour could welp work.

Today it rained so much that I had to cancel my plans for a socially distanced park meeting, and was in loungewear all day. From tomorrow we are allowed to meet inside, thank god.
