What 'cheapies' do you like?
Do you always have them around or do you only buy when you're trying to spend less?

Bout koi's healthy mix foundation . I think it's £4.55 ! And the ordinary nicianamide and zinc serum .

Soozikinzii · 22/06/2020 09:46

Rose vaseline in the little tins. I swear it takes about 5 years off my face (when I wear it on my lips!)

Aldi q10 creams - another vote for those. Tbh supermarket own brand creams all seem pretty good, they invest a lot to stop you going elsewhere sadly.

Boots solar facial suncream. Fiver for decent quality nice feeling factor 50, very effective.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 22/06/2020 09:51

Oh dear, I swore I would spend no more but here I am ordering wash cloths £5.40 for 6 off e bay 😳

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 22/06/2020 10:02

St Moritz tanning mousse. I’ve spent way more on other brands and ONLY this one works for me. No streaks, decent colour.

Bananaman123 · 22/06/2020 10:19

Aldi vit c cleanser, primark makeup remover cloths, revolution conceal and define foundation. Also primark lip balms just as nice as expensive ones

Sakura7 · 22/06/2020 10:20

Pears soap (the green one). Lovely fresh scent and it's the only thing that cleared my horrible cystic spots. I tried a lot of more expensive products, believe me. Can't believe something so simple and cheap worked in the end, but it did.

Lidl baby lotion which I use as a body moisturiser. Just as good as the branded one IMO. It's light but that suits me as I can't stand heavy body lotions/butters.

Catrice concealer in the little black pot is a knock off for Mac and just as good.

Most Nivea stuff is great, I don't think I've ever had a product of theirs that I didn't like.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 22/06/2020 10:38

Coconut oil: on my face, on my body, in my hair.

£2.50 for a kilo down my local Asda Smile

Onekidnoclue · 22/06/2020 11:22

@nicelegs did you use it as a mask and wash off or leave it on?

@WellTidy and @DeterminedLittleBugger do you soak yourselves for AGES before you get scrubbing with the mitts? The videos made it seem like they would only work if you lounge in a bath for 30 mins first to losen the gross bits!

DeterminedLittleBugger · 22/06/2020 11:28

I actually don’t have a functioning bath at the moment. I do it the shower...let my skin get really soft when I’m washing my hair, apply conditioner on my hair and whilst it’s sitting I use the cloths. I might soften it a bit more with a hot flannel but in all honesty I’m not seeing any lack of results. I’m still impressed.

Onekidnoclue · 22/06/2020 11:30

Thank you @DeterminedLittleBugger I can’t use our bath either and didn’t want to miss out! Thanks

WellTidy · 22/06/2020 11:35

Yes, I do soak before washing with the bath mitt. I haven't tried it without soaking - maybe it wouldn't make a difference.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 22/06/2020 12:08

@Onekidnoclue

I use it to take off my makeup (on the odd occasion that I wear any), as a facial moisturiser, a body cream, a hair 'shiner' (I have shaved hair, which I never wash Shock). Yes, I use it as a mask too: just massage it into my face, catch up with Bradley Walsh on The Chase – oooh, I love The Chase – and then take it off with a warm flannel/cloth.

To make it absolutely gorgeous, I sit the pot in warm water until it melts (melts really easily) and then add a few drops of rose geranium essential oil: smells ..... divine Smile

Onekidnoclue · 22/06/2020 13:07

@nicelegsshameabouttheface thanks. That sounds great. I’m so clueless with this stuff.

NavyBerry · 22/06/2020 14:34

stoptheride · 22/06/2020 15:07

I'm a big fan of the Aldi Q10 range of skincare.

myusernamewastakenbyme · 22/06/2020 18:41

@AlexChitChatting its Superdrug not SuperdrugsConfused

angelfacecuti75 · 22/06/2020 21:58

Simple soap -2 bars for a pound
Rimmel fresher skin foundation or the long lasting one.
Garnier micellar water.
No 7 powder though not cheap cheap. And their exceptional definition mascara.
Boots no fragrance fash wash (either £1.50/1.75) and their own brand toiletries.
Avon nutra effects moisturizer (usually £5).
Avon 1 step pedicure -£2.75.
Avon overnight foot cream.
That's all I can think of right now.

angelfacecuti75 · 22/06/2020 21:59

Ps Sally Hansen for nails is so good...

angelfacecuti75 · 22/06/2020 22:07

Also love primark beauty stuff , such as their nail oil pen and sheet masks and facial buffers.
Another vote for elf here

angelfacecuti75 · 22/06/2020 22:08

And essence ...their waterproof mascara is amazing.

Wallawallabangbang · 22/06/2020 22:13
