If you're looking for Bodyshop alternatives

I thought it might be good to have a thread for alternatives for those who have ditched the BS.

Even better if we could recommend small independent businesses.

I loved their Chamomile cleansing butter/balm so need to find a replacement if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks for this thread. I loved body shop and spent a fortune every month. Never getting a penny out of this woman again.
Team JK for me

Use the card RJ. It'll cost them more.

Any alternatives to the almond and honey body butter? Also their felt eye liner

HyggeTygge · 13/07/2020 23:22

@HyggeTygge

I really need a dupe for the coconut shower cream! It's soap-free and so creamy, it's perfect for shaving legs etc. Made with coconut oil but not actually oily feeling at all. Doesn't actually need to smell of coconuts.
I hereby confirm that the Nivea coconut moisturising shower gel stuff is in no way comparable to the Body Shop one Angry
HyggeTygge · 13/07/2020 23:24

chunkyrun I've tried lots of eyeliner pens and the best I reckon is Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner

starryeyedsnowgirl · 14/07/2020 00:01

I liked their vitamin C exfoliating face scrub. Any ideas for a replacement? I have dry sensitive skin and it needs something to scrub it off in winter or it looks terrible.
Thanks

Samantha Sona products are lovely. They're cruelty-free and vegan so a good alternative to BS. They're also palm oil-free, unlike Lush. My favourites are the Waratah Flower Moisturiser and the body cream which smells heavenly! The tan is good too, apparently.

If you know anyone who sells Tropic, their eyeliner pen is very good.
acatcalledjohn · 14/07/2020 21:31

Buying from an MLM supports an inherently dodgy business model which is aimed at scamming people, mostly women. Not one to recommend when the thread is borne out of the anti women stance of another company.

So no, don't buy from Tropic.

As an alternative to the cleansing balm I've gone with evolve cleansing melt from Holland and Barrett. Pricey but 20% off occasionally.

As an alternative to the carrot day cream I've gone with weleda skin food light for day and original for night.

I'm on to my last body shop body butter and would love something that smells as strong as an alternative. I've tried superdrugs own and didn't like them at all. Think I'll try boots next.

Love rituals products. Price point is a little more, but I've chosen them as my favoured product on feel unique so get 10% discount. They also have pretty decent sales.

DS2 is peed off as bs are his go to for ginger shampoo and also for presents. So trying to find cheap alternatives for him. Thanks for suggestions so far.

The problem with Lush is that their products are FULL of palm oil. There are plenty of Palm Oil-Free alternatives here, if anyone's interested:
