I found you all again 😅 Got quite a shock when I got to the last thread the other day and it was 1k and Queen was announcing she was leaving!

I thought of you last week when I fell down a Eurovision nerd factfinding mission and watched all of the Melodifestivalen. In Swedish. I nodded along. I thought you’d be proud of me 😁

Bosco I have my moments. Do you know, I've watched nothing at all of this years Eurovision shenanigans? It's just not the same without the show. I can't believe you watched the shower of shite that is Melodifestivalen :O god I hate that dragged out monstrosity of a programme - which incidentally might also be to blame for spreading coronavirus, since they didn't cancel/limit attendance to the final show even though the disease was spreading already and thousands gathered to watch it.

Something about the Queen paying the Ski Lodge debt was in the news over the weekend, apparently in order to avoid a damaging court case.
Could all be tabloid gossip though!

Kate re-wore a Roksanda Ilinčić dress (previously worn in Australia and at Wimbledon). It is a bespoke version of the Ryedale dress.

Her version has slimmed down sleeves, a different neckline and reverse colouring. I have included a picture of the original dress too - as a comparison.

This is her third yellow look (out of the 11 online engagements).

On 2nd June 1953, the Queen was crowned. Norman Hartnell designed her silk gown and robes, and those of Margaret and the Queen Mother. He had a wonderful rags to riches story, from being the son of a London pub landlord to Royal couturier.

It was totally unclear re the queen paying with Andrew/Fergie continuing to insist they'll pay it back when they sell (like that's going to happen easily at this point).

Agree re poor old Bea. She's never really managed to stand out and her parents do not make life easy.

Agree Philip is handsome. I have to admit to having a huge fondness for him. I actually worry about him tucked away in Windsor castle or wherever he was before a lot.

They made a very beautiful couple in their youth. She wasn't necessarily the prettiest, but she always had a lovely face and a beautiful figure as a young woman.

I'm pretty sure Charlotte hasn't gone back. i thought Kensington Palace was going to have to make an announcement but doesn't look like they have. Obviously half the internet is frothing at the mouth that she's not going back when government guidance recommends it. I think it has to be a personal decision for all families and I imagine that they're in Norfolk is playing a huge role in the decision. Coming back to the apartment (albeit a huge one) in central london with a family of five so that one child can go to school in a fairly half hearted way seems a bit counter productive.

I also love the blue of the altuzurra dress.
My elder son is getting married next summer and that's the shade of blue I have in mind for my outfit.
I also like the pretty scalloped edge on Kate's white zoom meeting top.

George's year group haven't gone back so I would imagine that it makes sense to keep home schooling them together in Norfolk rather than them all going back to London at this stage.

I would definitely stay in a beautiful country house rather than central London, even if it was Kensington Palace, so I wouldn’t blame the Cambridge’s at all.

Well, if it's Coronation Day (!), it gives me an excuse to watch my favourite episode of The Crown (indeed, the coronation one), the watching of which makes all things right.

Plus - it's from 6 years ago - but Queen Margueriete (sp!) opened the British Museum's Viking exhibition and Vikings live is now on YouTube, including Queen Daisy being interviewed in a standard, low-key, bright red with spiky shouldered jacket. If you've got any Year 4s doing Vikings you can pretend it's home schooling
