Hello. I've lurked on here for ages. Love seeing people's outfits. I feel I have no style and seriously need to get some new clothes. I love that dress @Justonedayatatime11 do you think it would suit a small person? I always think long dresses are for tall elegant people. Not short ones like me 😁

@Shannith I'm slightly worried that I like both the jacket and blouse although the spots not the flowers. I'm definitely not in the WI or opening any church fetes although I am part of ladies circle which is similar to WI
Today I need to look smart up top for calls, it's about 20c if it get to go outside.

Not sure about the belt need to find a smart one that sits better this one is off an M&S skirt.
Top Sainsbury's
Skirt Monki
Belt M&S

I'd love to be able to wear this to work but would need a short blazer as it's a shirt and tie type of role.

Usually chained to my desk on work days but decided to do some reviewing/notes outside in the garden for 20 minutes- it was amazing 😎

@happytobemrsg feeling much better today thanks 😊
@MerlinsButler @Sooverthemill thanks for your words, I'm feeling a lot more 'me' today, every now and then it just gets me down. So much has changed, I've been redeployed and missing my 'real' job as well. But I know there's a good reason for all these things so I will try not to let it get me down for too long.
@Softpebbles I really love the Jack Wills blouse, so pretty! @KiteflyingKat I also have that Matalan dress, it looks fab on you.
I've indulged in another treat to myself - this blouse from NoaNoa. That's it now though, with this and the Sezane jumper I really won't be buying anymore clothes for a long time!
Today I'm wearing pink sweater and jeans both from Hush. Sandals from TopShop.

@happytobemrsg being outdoors is so good for the soul! I'm spending as much time as possible in the garden - just wish the sun would come back out.

@EllaPaella that Noa blouse is gorgeous. Not a brand I've ever tried. Love your jumper today too. Glad you're feeling better. Being outside really doesseem to help but I think a lot of people are struggling with the general uncertainty and for those in the NHS / redeployed it must be so much worse. Shopping helps - it's a proven scientific fact Wink

@crazyspaniellady love that Joules blouse and your outfit today. I've been looking for new dog walking boots. Would you recommend Fairfax and Favour??

@Sooverthemill and @happytobemrsg. Lovely outfits and jealous that you're wearing shorts / showing your legs off. Grey and overcast here.

@Palacepaper thanks!! I almost bought that mint velvet t shirt last week. But then I counted how many times shorts I already had and didn't. Obviously the answer was too many.

I see so many items on posters on here and think ooh that's nice - maybe we'll end up with a Mumsnet uniform 🤪. I've ordered the Hush jeans that Ella and Soover had but I promise I'm not stalking anyone's wardrobe.

@Softpebbles that's a lovely blouse / top.

@Sickoffamilydrama I love your outfit today. Think it would definitely suit a blazer so that you could wear it for work.

oh, @EllaPaella I must’ve missed your post too, I’m glad you’re feeling a little more “you” today though, these days do creep up on you, nothing worse than an unshakable funk. That blouse is gorgeous! A little retail therapy never hurts.

@MerlinsButler Thank you Grin it’s one of my newest shirts, and I’m a big fan. I whole-heartedly recommend fairfax and favor!
The Explorers or Boudica (I’m wearing today) would be good for dog walking, I have both and I’ve had my explorers for 3 years now and I’m still loving them! I think they’re a little different to mine now as mine are the original Imperial Explorer, but from what I can gather they’ve just improved them. They’re expensive but well worth it imo.
I do also like my Dubarry’s, I have Galways and DM has Wexfords and both are very hardy. I think my only complaint is that even with a fleece liner my Dubarrys don’t keep my feet particularly warm but thats maybe just me.
Just stay away from the handbags and suede boots! You’ll develop an expensive habit Wink

@MerlinsButler re boots I have these from Spain, similar to Fairfax IMO and cheaper. I think a few Mumsnetters have them, there have been a few threads over the years on them.

@Justonedayatatime11 these are this years version Here
They don't seem to have leopard print like mine this year but the snake skin is lovely and only £12! Bargain.
I got mine last summer.

Hope you don’t mind me gatecrashing your thread but wanted to say I’ve been following you gorgeous lot for inspo as I’ve put on some weight during lockdown and finding it really hard to feel comfortable in my clothes. Having plenty of dramatic ‘I have nothing to weeeeeear’ moments (whilst drowning in a pool of clothes!)

Haha I used to be like that @GrapefruitGin! Maybe try using the KonMari method to streamline. Your wardrobe then you can see where the gaps are

This used to be me - I then figured out that although I had piles of gorgeous clothes they were inappropriate for my lifestyle - I had loads of going out clothes, nice office wear but spent most of my life in the garden, on country walks etc so nothing to wear for my weekends / down time. So all my recent purchases have been casual.

Welcome @GrapefruitGin

So I need you all to shout NO just NO if I mention purchasing anything else.

My company has just had some very bad news, we hopefully have until December/ January to turn it around after that we will have to close. So I basically want to save and not spend as much as possible, I don't need all the clothes I have/ want but I do need to feel financially secure.
