I'm back. Sorry I've been quiet. Spent a week wearing pyjamas as pulled a muscle in my back / shoulder and it was all I could dress myself in. Loving all the recent outfits. I really do need to make more effort. I was moaning to my Partner that I have nowhere to go to wear my new clothes - he pointed out that if I went out every day for a month in a different outfit I would "barely scratch the surface of my wardrobe" felt a bit harsh to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just got back from walking the dog and got caught in a massive downpour so will have to get changed before I post a pic.

Laughing so much at the subliminal marketing thread. I think if you are on a thread / board like this you are looking for ideas / inspiration so it is influencing but more organic I think than planned.

@EllaPaella @sooverthemill are top contenders for Hush plants WinkI hold them directly responsible for my last Hush purchase ( the Alma jeans)!as I usually go for skinnies. I have way too much stuff from Hush and have lurked in the Hush thread but wouldn't have tried them. But they look so much better on real people than the Hush website.

@Toastfiend I love all your L&Y dungarees. They do nothing for me but you always look great and comfy. They should definitely send you free stuff.

I think @oubliettebravo should get free Boden as every time i see a Boden item in their outfit I want it.

Personally I would like free Hush and Mint Velvet clothes please. Smile. Though funnily enough. I think it was @happytobemrsg who asked for my stitchfix referral code. I put it on here and it has been used 11 times with 4 people buying so I have £60 of credit. Does that make me a stitchfix influencer????

Have a great Friday all.

MerlinsButler · 12/06/2020 13:06

Lol now what was I saying about my overflowing wardrobe???

Doorbell rings open it up and Forgot I'd ordered this 2 weeks ago - when it was sunny.

And a pair of white Mint Velvet jeans from EBay. I give up 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yep that was me @MerlinsButler! My next box arrives 3rd July for my birthday. What did you buy in Matalan?? I’m waiting for some sports bras to arrive from there.

@happytobemrsg bizarrely a couple of nude bras , way too many white tops to go with my Hush jeans (hence the nude bras) and some sandals. It was sunny when I put the order in so who know a when I'll now wear them! Oh and a pair of jeans and two pair of shorts. It's just such a bloody bargain I always get carried away. Oh yes and a throw for the sofa / dog.

I love the Matalan Falmer Heritage range. It's really good quality.

Will have to try it all on later when my 2 hour + conference call finally ends. Thank god it's not a video call so can multitask 😉

Ootd86 · 12/06/2020 15:15

Ha, I saw the influencer thread too - but I don't think it's unusual for things/styles/brands to become hugely popular on a forum like this one.

To the PP who wanted to know where my slippers were from, they are from this person on etsy www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Craftsjamal

And - to further increase the risk that people think I am just here to market stuff (MNHQ can vouch for me that I have been on here a good few years but change my username relentlessly) - @Shadeslayer: I like Freddie of Pinewoods dungarees. I am also an hourglass and have a silly waist-hip ratio and these work for me. They look more normal if you style with normal clothes.

My outfit today for my morning walk: parka (BHS); sleeveless down jacket (uniqlo); scarf (promod); leggings (sweaty betty), white t shirt (Baukjen).

@Judystilldreamsofhorses the pattern on that dress is great, I like it a lot!

itssquidstella · 12/06/2020 17:46

@Ootd86 I have a ridiculous waist to hip ratio, which has been putting me off committing to a pair of L&Y dungarees (even though I covet some). I'll check your dungaree recommendation out!

Ellapaella · 12/06/2020 18:41

Some lovely outfits today. Will the sunshine ever return? Killed into a false sense of security the last few weeks and was feeling optimistic that a good summer may lie ahead.
I'm wearing Noanoa blouse, jeans from Superdry and TopShop sandals. Incidentally if anyone from Noanoa is lurking on this thread and would to send me free clothes to plug them bring it on Grin I'm more than willing. I'm in love with my new blouse.

Omg LULLED into a false sense of security obvs...

MerlinsButler · 12/06/2020 19:03

@EllaPaella love that blouse. Just bought a load of white tops in anticipation of hot weather and sandals. It's been horrible here today but I'm going to wear all my new things anyway.

Maybe we should all have a disclaimer stating that free clothes are welcome Smile at the bottom of each post.

Shadeslayer · 12/06/2020 20:10

Apparently scotland is heating up from the middle of next week according to our weather guru Windy Wilson.

My lucy & Yak has been shipped and I'm very excited!! Just hoping dp doesn't notice we are supposed to be being sensible with money

Softpebbles · 12/06/2020 20:15

Love that white blouse @EllaPaella

happytobemrsg · 12/06/2020 20:36

@Shadeslayer you have to say at least one bad thing about your L&Y haul so no one suspects you’re a plant. Am I allowed to get excited that they said they have some new green bits coming (my fave colour 💚)?

I love your shirt @EllaPaella

I’ve ordered another pair of custom made dungarees to replace the grey ones I’m returning to L&Y. Super excited 😆 roll on my birthday next month 🎈

Sorry to hear @Sooverthemill as an ex nurse I know how painful the system can be at times.
@OublietteBravo I have just finished reading a reply from a patent lawyer some cheeky person has copied one of our designs, not sure if we'll be able to stop them though.

So if anyone is reading this and wants me to advertise for them I quite fancy @Sooverthemill
Pink Levi's and a few of the mint velvet blouses I've seen actually throw in some Lucy & Yak for good measure Wink

So I wasn't going to spend anything this month but these were on eBay for £20 so I had to buy them it still had the labels and was over £100 and it's organic cotton and very soft. They would fit better if my baby 4 year old pouch was less but I'm gradually getting the third child really has been the kicker for me I can remember a friend saying how jealous they were of my figure pre number 3 and it didn't look like I'd had kids....it does now!

Ignore the creases been sat working all day.

I like that jumpsuit on you @Sickoffamilydrama. Think the shape suits you

Shadeslayer · 12/06/2020 21:24

I will love all my lucy & yak and rave about it even if I look like a pricey potato 😀

I'm never sure about online second hand shopping I've never done it.

itssquidstella · 12/06/2020 23:09

I haven't thought of NoaNoa in years! Used to go in there when I lived in Canterbury, but it was a bit old and expensive for me then (I was only 23, just a baby). Now I reckon it'd be right up my street.

Sickoffamilydrama · 13/06/2020 06:33

Thanks @happytobemrsg & @KiteflyingKat.

@Shadeslayer I find with eBay it's best to buy brands that you know fit or a style/shape that it won't matter. I sometimes take a risk with things like that jumpsuit, it doesn't always work out I bought a lovely turquoise blouse for £1 and it fits fine but the arms are really tight (my arms are pretty normal) so I can tell why that was on eBay! But at that price it's not the end of the world.

Sat watching a movie with all the kids as the 4 year old was sent back to bed at 5.15 this morning so at 5.45 he decided he'd sneak into his sister's room and wake them up Hmm as clearly I was having none of it. Honestly he gets earlier and earlier. He won't snuggle either it's straight up and chattering/ climbing over us he's relentless.

Sooverthemill · 13/06/2020 09:03

Blouse: mango
Jeans: new Baukjen Gail ( very happy!)
Sandals: M&S

DD still very bad. Beginning to wonder if this is our new normal for a while. Exhausted
It may be warm today I think!
