@EllaPaella the dress is beautiful!

@happytobemrsg I have a shirt I love but DP always says it looks like a flash back to his mum in the 80's Hmm glad you still wear them if you love them.

quantumdog · 10/06/2020 15:17

@happytobemrsg I'm 5'7'' and a standard size 12 these days, and got the 30/30 Camdens. They fit perfectly around the waist, nice and high. They just cover my belly button and sit on the narrowest part. They're really comfy, but if they do shrink in the wash I'll have to turn them in to shorts!
I love the new leather jacket. Is it Mint Velvet or All Saints?

@Ellapaella That dress is amazing, particularly on you.

Shame about the Eastons @toastfiend , but if you're really not feeling them then sending them back is the right choice. Your otter dungas look great however, and I agree that you should be L&Y's model of choice. I wonder how many lurkers on this thread that you've managed to convert to the Yak club?

Cute earrings @Shadeslayer

And so sorry to hear your DD is no better @Sooverthemill

ClientQ · 10/06/2020 16:55

ClientQ · 10/06/2020 16:56

@ClientQ I have that same pile for the dump 😂

ClientQ · 10/06/2020 17:43

Thankfully they're doing bulk waste collections again so the spare bed can go!

Shadeslayer · 10/06/2020 18:02

I'm excited to get rid of my stuff. I've quite a few things from my wardrobe and the kids that isn't fit for sale of donation so I will be putting them in the clothing bank. Ours have all been full lately.

I'm really excited for my lucy and Yak to turn up if they look awful I may have a tantrum Grin

Sickoffamilydrama · 10/06/2020 18:30

Wow I didn't post yesterday as didn't get chance to take a photo and so much has happened. @Sooverthemill my thoughts are with you and your DD hopefully it is the virus you think and she can start to get better.

So I went out today to an actual business meeting a socially distanced one but still it was nice to be out.

I’m so tempted by the new Camden’s @quantumdog. I have my birthday bits coming tomorrow & I’ll be trying on my Eastons so I’ll hold off until tomorrow & decide then. Other than black, do you think they will go with much?

@toastfiend definitely converted me to L&Y!!

My leather jacket which I eventually kept is from Mint Velvet. It’s a lot lighter than the All Saints ones but buttery soft.

Oh did anyone see the new fleece on the L&Y photos? Now that I do like!!

I seen that but I'm not really a colour kind of woman. I do like the shape.

Shadeslayer · 10/06/2020 18:53

I need leather jacket suggestions I have worn mine to death I think 8 years now so it will be my birthday request in August.

Ellapaella · 10/06/2020 18:59

@Shadeslayer I have the Allsaints cargo. I absolutely love it and have worn it to death since I got it in October. It's a neater fit for AS and has the look of being 'worn' leather.

Ellapaella · 10/06/2020 19:00

This one

No outfits worthy of report from me over the last few days - all a variation on today's: sweaty Betty hoodie, Boden top, M&S jeans. So cold here today!

@happytobemrsg I also have a leather jacket from mint velvet, I love it. @Shadeslayer they're definitely worth a look.

My eBay selling went well, and I feel much better having cleared some things out of my wardrobe. I'm on a roll at the moment, trying to get stuff out of the house that we just don't need/ use/ love.

That jacket looks really nice too @Ellapaella I like the neat shape.

quantumdog · 10/06/2020 19:33

I think so @happytobemrsg . I wore a pink crop top with them and that went well, plus I think grey or white will look good. I put that fleece in my basket, but I'm not sure I'd wear fleece much so didn't buy yet. The MV jacket is lush.
I've got two leather jackets that I'm thinking about culling and getting a nice new one. Now you've got me thinking.

Shadeslayer · 10/06/2020 20:12

I love my leather and would have tried to get more out of it but my pretty kitty Luna tried to escape and managed to scratch the front a while ago and the little claw marks are getting worse.

In 18 years I've had 3 leather jackets 2 expensive and 1 cheap the cheap one lasted just over a year. I honestly think they are one of the best investment pieces you can buy they never truly go out of style even if they are not 'in' they are never out.

lavenderbongo · 10/06/2020 20:25

Hi. I’ve lurked on these threads for some time and loved looking at everyone’s outfits. So this morning i thought I might be brave enough to join. I’m in NZ so it’s winter here. Most of my clothes are second hand so not sure we’re they’re from.

@lavenderbongo welcome. How is NZ winter?

Ellapaella · 10/06/2020 21:41

@Shadeslayer that one is lush and a brilliant price

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/06/2020 21:43

I forgot to take a photo today, and didn’t remember until I was in my pyjamas, which no-one wants to see! I wore Boden black dungarees, grey Whistles jumper, and grey Adidas Continental 80 trainers.

@EllaPaella that dress looks fantastic on you, just lovely.

quantumdog · 10/06/2020 22:48

Yeah, I love it @happytobemrsg
I thought All Saints had the leather jacket game all stitched up, but that one's just as nice.

This evening I had a big clothes cull. Mainly old things that I'd hung on to hoping I'd slim back in to them. I realised that that's unlikely to ever happen now, and by the time I manage it they'll be out of date anyway, so it's better if I just stop torturing myself by seeing them hanging in my wardrobe every day.
I feel a bit sad about acknowledging that I will never be that size again, but also I feel freer.
I've also decided that tomorrow I'm wearing my L&Y Lolas and if I still feel a bit daft in them then I'll stick them on Depop or something. I think vast chunks of my wardrobe might have been purchased in a vain attempt to recapture my lost youth. Grin So it's better to just get rid of all that stuff tout suite, although I'm not ready for twinsets and pearls just yet!
