Today we have rain. I’m quite glad I don’t actually need to go anywhere. I am, however, wearing a sparkly top in an attempt to cheer myself up. As far as I’m aware I don’t have any meetings today...

Jumper: Oasis
Jeans: Mint Velvet
Trainers: Hobbs

I love those @happytobemrsg - I'll be next to order a pair I think, I love them. Will wait to hear how comfortable they are. I have wide feet so need to read some reviews. I've had such a bad experience ordering direct from DM's before I'd be inclined to order from Office or Schu. Where did you get yours?

Sooverthemill · 10/06/2020 09:02

DD still dreadful and GF test negative so now waiting for other virology report. And throat swab. Was awake from 4 today so I already want a nap!

Love the DM sandals.

I think I took photo at weird angle as I look like an American football player. In RL I do not
Top: Baukjen

@Sooverthemill it sounds very stressful. I obviously don't know the full importation about your daughter but has she ever tried KCR therapy as a way to manage symptoms? I was 11 years with pain sickness then I found KCR and it really helped.

No outfit yet I'm going for a run first it's cloudy here doesn't look very warm.

Sooverthemill · 10/06/2020 10:01

@shadeslayer thank you but sadly DD cannot be touched. She has hypersensitivity to touch and gets a bruise even if I put my hand lightly on her back. She gets abrasions from clothing. ( all this contributes to the inability of health or social care to provide an alternative carer for her so I can't leave her) She is too sick for physio ( well her consultant recommended a plan that started with 7 seconds a day working up to 5 minutes and the CCG refused to provide less than an hour at a time). We have tried many many alternative and complementary therapies such as acupuncture, hypnotism, reiki, she's allergic to almost all fragrances ( like hand sanitizer) and has multiple chemical sensitivities. When she also had Lymphoma a couple of years ago the Young Cancer Trust unit said they had never seen such a sick young person except a terminal patient and the consultant at UCLH and Bath and Cambridge have said there is nothing that can be used because of the combination of her symptoms and 'issues'. All were very surprised at how sick someone with 'just' ME can be. We tried a lidocaine infusion once and apart from the massive weeping sore caused by the adhesive used for the cannula, there was no effect. A pain specialist from Kings has seen her and the only 2 unlicenced drugs he could suggest had no impact. I kind of feel we have tried everything a reasonable person could! But I'm hoping beyond hope that she has a named virus now that maybe an antiviral drug could make an impact upon and possible kick start her immune system back into a normal way of being. We are 'hoping' it's cytomegalovirus as there is quite a lot of anecdotal evidence that it is a trigger for very severe ME. Sorry, I've gone on too long

Sooverthemill · 10/06/2020 10:05

Back to clothes. I've ordered a Lost Stock box for myself and send a gift voucher to DD1 to get one for herself. £35 at least 3 items of clothing and it feeds a family of 4 in Bangladesh for a week ( that made me feel sick) here? I've never been to Primark ( nine close by) but it may be stuff from there, new look,M& S, any retailer who just cancelled orders and refused to pay the suppliers once lockdown happened. I also discovered Liberty have 50% off Levi's...

Shadeslayer · 10/06/2020 10:25

My goodness that sounds awful it must be so difficult dealing with that physically and mentally I can't imagine.

The box sounds good. I've splashed out and ordered some things from Lucy and Yak to try I'm not sure they will flatter me but I love the look and I need comfort for my job so stretchy waist bands are a must.

crazyspaniellady · 10/06/2020 10:27

@Talisin Thank you! She definitely knows it and knows how to use it.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses It is a bit of a madhouse! I’d be much more likely to be without dogs than a cat, dogs are a relatively “new” thing, I’ve always had a cat and I think they’re great Grin

@happytobemrsg I think those will be amazing for you, I can see them getting plenty wear! I love the comfort of DMs, but I never reached for mine when I had them so passed them on to a grateful pal ☺️

Bit of a standard outfit for me today

Shirt - Musto
Jeans - Jack Wills
Boots - Dubarry

Off out to walk the dogs before the rain starts again, hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday

Today's earings since it's raining so much here I will be staying home in leggings and a comfy sweatshirts when I get back from my run.

I bought a bunch of oversized sweatshirts from the boohoo sale 4 for 23 I think they are great for slouching around.

happytobemrsg · 10/06/2020 11:20

I got mine from Schuh @EllaPaella because of the 365 day returns. Perfect right now. I really want some chin my black sandals- everything I have is very dainty. Doesn’t really suit my style anymore.

@Sooverthemill I’ve not heard of that clothes box before, it such a good idea.

@Shadeslayer what have you bought? I’d highly recommend the black floral Kia’s. I bought them the other day & I’d wear them every day if I could! I bought the same size as my Alexas (a small). I’m wearing mine tomorrow I think.

Felt really cold when I woke up today so it’s a chunky jumper for me.

Jumper: New Look
Dungarees: Run & Fly

I’ve also ordered a lost stock box. Just figured it was £35, a bit of a gamble but it helps someone out then that’s fine by me 😊 be good to compare what we get @Sooverthemill
I am sorry to hear your daughter is still struggling. Must be massively difficult. X

Love those doc sandals happy.

Levi’s sale...... 👋🏻

Softpebbles · 10/06/2020 11:35

Ps no pic today. Harem joggers. Grey sparkly all saints t shirt and a h and m nada sweater!

happytobemrsg · 10/06/2020 11:51

I can’t get on to the Liberty website so maybe that’s a good thing!!

Hello all, I've just discovered this thread. I hope this is okay to post this here.
I'm wearing Ralph Lauren T shirt with US flag on it, with shabby *ripped-ish at knees jeans from F+F Tesco (c.£18, bargain). Medium wash blue. These are the first jeans I've bought from.Tesco. Are cut at ankle and tight but stretchy fit. Washed once and still wearable. We shall see as the wears go on.

quantumdog · 10/06/2020 12:03

Hello everyone
I haven't RTT yet today, but just wanted to ask you all...

Do these look too short in the leg to you? They arrived this morning and I've just tried them on now and my first thought was 'too short in the leg'. But maybe that's because I'm worrying about shrinkage in the wash as most of my L&Y stuff has shrunk some. Do Camdens shrink too, does anyone know?

Excuse my unmade bed and scabby old crop top.

toastfiend · 10/06/2020 12:03

I've had the DM Blaire sandals on my birthday list for a while now, so will be following with interest to see what the verdict is on them (birthday isn't until August, but I've spent so much time browsing online during lockdown that I've already sent a few 'ideas of things I'd like, please' to DH! 😂

Tried the Eastons with a belt, still not convinced, so I think they're going to go back. I like them, but just not enough to justify keeping them, and I can't see how I'll get the wear out of them. I think you're right re summer colours but heavier Autumnal fabrics @happytobemrsg, and the grey do seem like a better shout because of that, I just don't often wear grey. I think I'm going to keep hold of my pennies and see what else is released.

Today is a cosy day.

Top - H&M
Dungas - Lucy & Yak, the little otters on them always make me smile.

toastfiend · 10/06/2020 12:07

@quantumdog love the Tillora Camdens on you. I think the Camdens are meant to have a slightly cropped leg? All mine do, anyway, and hit at/just above the ankle on me. I haven't found them to shrink. Mine tend to loosen with wear and then go back to their usual state after washing. I have the depop stripe Camdens and Bernice boob print Camdens. I wash them on a 20 degree cotton wash, same as my dungarees, and hang then to to dry and never had a problem with shrinkage on anything so far (apart from when DH tumble dried one of my Eddie boilersuits! 🤦‍♀️)

quantumdog · 10/06/2020 12:14

Ah, thank you so much @toastfiend
These are my first pair of Camdens so you've put my mind at rest now.

The blue Addisons have just dropped, so I've bagged a pair. Happy Days!

Shadeslayer · 10/06/2020 12:55

My post just disappeared so I'll type it again sorry if it's a double.

@happytobemrsg I got the Kai the Alexa and the Luna dungarees. I can't keep them all but wanted to try a few styles.

EraOfTheGrey · 10/06/2020 13:00

I'm a little bit of an interloper on this thread so sorry to crash.

I noticed that the DM's Voss sandals were only £68.45 from Surfdome. They are also offering a 10% discount on new orders. Free returns too. Mine were only £61.60 with free P&P.

Ellapaella · 10/06/2020 13:22

@Sooverthemill it sounds so incredibly hard. You and your dd are amazing.
@toastfiend I think L&Y should employ your as there dungas model as you always look amazing, the dungarees look better than you than they do on the models 👌
@Shadeslayer love those earrings, so cute.
@quantumdog I think they look just right - they look like they're meant to be a bit cropped.

My dress from the Sezane sale came. It's beautiful and I'm so pleased with it. It's pure silk and the colour is amazing.

Ellapaella · 10/06/2020 13:27

I'm not actually wearing it now though, way too cold! Am just about to brave the supermarket, I'm in my Toast jumper and Hush jeans.

itssquidstella · 10/06/2020 14:08

Omg @Ellapaella that dress is gorgeous!

happytobemrsg · 10/06/2020 14:12

Those are absolute perfection on you @quantumdog! Can you please tell me your size vs what you bought?? Sounds like they come up super small. Also, are they proper high waisted? I can’t wear low rise anymore.

I ended up changing o to the worlds most comfy trousers (L&Y). They don’t match my top, I look like a pair of 1970s curtains & my mum & DH hate them.

@EllaPaella thanks. We just get by which is all any of you would do.

I love the dress! I've had the blouse in that print in and out of my basket but the quotes for the new kitchen are coming in and we will have to save tons if we want that done! DH now bored to tears with it

I love The Camden's @quantumdog. They don't look too shirt to me.

@Penguins1 when you feel brave enough post a photo! We are kind on here

@EraOfTheGrey haha I noticed that in surf dome too but availed it as they look so nice. Also Grenson have a sandal sale on and they are a few pairs for 'only' £64 that look really great
