Oh @Sooverthemill how worrying for you all. Keeping everything crossed for you that she turns a corner soon.

@toastfiend I think the Eastons look good, but side by side with the originals I can see what you mean about the cut being slightly different. Would a belt help you feel less straight up and down? You don't look that way at all, but it might help you feel like your waist is more defined perhaps.

I'm twinning with @OublietteBravo today. I had a few glasses of wine last night because I was child free, and feel a bit rough for it today. Sad So I'm in my trusty old Hush jumpsuit which is really soft and comfortable. Smile

@Softpebbles that's a lovely top!

@Sooverthemill I'm sorry that you and your daughter are having such a hard time, I really feel for you.

@toastfiend I love the duck egg blue colour; can't tell from the angle of the photo whether they make you look blocky or not!

I'm a vision in pink today 😂 Jumper is Superdry, jeans are Hush and slippers are Fatface.

Softpebbles · 09/06/2020 13:32

The more I see those hush jeans .......

Softpebbles · 09/06/2020 13:33

Ps thanks for the top love! I just face timed DH And he said I like your top, you look nice - I was super quick to point out it wasn’t new 🤣
All he has seen me in lately is work out gear. I said to my mum today that I should try and put more normal clothes on for when he gets home!

crazyspaniellady · 09/06/2020 13:57

@Sooverthemill I love that blouse! My thoughts are with you and your DD, what you’re both dealing with must be so difficult. Fingers crossed the GP can offer some help/answers.

@toastfiend I like the duck egg ones, they’re absolutely lovely! I do see what you mean by the different cut compared to the teal ones but wouldn’t say you looked blocky. Would you prefer them if they were softer/floppier?

Just back from a lovely walk, the sun has returned and the dogs (and I) are delighted, they got to go swimming.

Top - Joules
Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - Superga

I’m so sorry your DD is so poorly @Sooverthemill

Welcome @MinesaPinot! I love Zara but haven’t bought anything from there in ages. I think most of us has a little lockdown weight gain so no judgement here!

@toastfiend I’ve ordered the grey ones because I saw it was a heavy twill & thought I’d get more wear out of them with my black ankle boots/black belt/jumper. Not arrived yet. What size did you get? I have a small coming.

I’ve had quite the saga trying to buy a leather jacket! I ended up buying two different styles in two different sizes from All Saints when they had 30% off. Made me realise I’m definitely a size 10 (what was I thinking ordering an 8?!) & I preferred details over the more minimal look. So I then looked at one from Mint Velvet which looked perfect but too expensive (£280). So I found a brand new one on eBay for £160! It arrived & is perfect. Phew.

Today’s outfit. I took DS1 to our local pond for the first time since lockdown & we fed the ducks. I’m slowly venturing back out.

Top: M&S
Dungarees: Run & Fly
Trainers: black/leopard converse

@happytobemrsg the blue seemed to be in "standard" 8/10/12 sizing, rather than small/medium/large, or I'd have ordered the small, I think. I ordered them in 10R and they're fine, but quite big fitting (I'm usually a 10-12 and I think I could get away with the 8 in these).

happytobemrsg · 09/06/2020 17:20

I meant I bought the 10R 🙈 sorry it’s been a long day. I was going to risk waiting for my birthday but I think I’ll try them on straight away in case I need a new size. Will you be keeping them @toastfiend? I’ll post pics of my grey ones when they arrive

DM Voss sandals arrived and I’m glad I went with the 7 rather than the 8 as they come up pretty big. They are very comfy once I got the straps adjusted though. No more new sandals - I have enough for years now!

@Sooverthemill I’m so sorry your daughter’s still so unwell, I hope you get some answers soon.

@crazyspaniellady - I meant to say, your kitty is gorgeous!

Also meant to say: Jeans - Hush Alma, glitter hoodie - Hush. Got distracted by my mum appearing with an iPad tech problem all of a sudden.

Shadeslayer · 09/06/2020 18:18

I am so jealous of all your dungarees I love them but find it so hard to fit a well fitting pair.

Today I've been working again I've a blue boyfriend jumper and ripped skinny jeans on with knitted mint green socks that I love and can't wait to wear with boots again.

Hi @MinesaPinot welcome! Don't worry about weight no one here is judging list away

happytobemrsg · 09/06/2020 18:52

Does it feel strange having a platform on your sandals @Talisin?

OP posts:
Talisin · 09/06/2020 19:17

@happytobemrsg Not at all. They don’t really feel like platforms when you're wearing them, they’re very light and balanced and just feel lovely and bouncy.

happytobemrsg · 09/06/2020 19:24

Sort for all the questions @Talisin! Are your leather or the “vegan” leather? Are they soft?

OP posts:
Talisin · 09/06/2020 20:31

No problem, @happytobemrsg - they’re the leather ones and they do feel soft, possibly a tiny bit of breaking in needed for the toe strap but not much.

happytobemrsg · 09/06/2020 20:48

Last question I promised @Talisin 😂 did you size down based on reviews in your particular sandals or do you have to that with all DM sandals?

OP posts:
Talisin · 09/06/2020 21:16

I’m a 71/2 and I’ve always gone for 8s in DM boots which are a tiny bit lose, but doesn’t matter with boots as you can put soles in and wear thick socks. I read the reviews for the sandals and there were quite a few that said they came up big - and then I noticed the official blurb said to size down if you’re a half size, so I did. Where they give the comparison international sizes, they list the 7 as 41 (which is in fact a 71/2) so I suspect the sizing is actually European converted to British rather than vice versa. Anyway, I would say the 7 is a large 71/2 or a smallish 8 in reality. Oh and they are fairly wide fitting across the toes, if that helps.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 09/06/2020 21:19

@Sooverthemill so sorry to hear your daughter is no better.

@crazyspaniellady what lovely pets! I grew up with cocker spaniels, no idea how I ended up with Cat-face here. I love her so much though!

@happytobemrsg that jacket is lovely! I bought a Whistles one a few years ago - even with a Grazia code and £100 of a birthday gift voucher it was criminally expensive, but I have worn it SO much.

Thank you for the jeans love, @Talisin and @Sooverthemill!

Today I wore Whistles jeans, Cos top, and Veja trainers. Back in socks because it is so chilly again!

@Ootd86 where are your slippers from? Serious envy!

happytobemrsg · 09/06/2020 22:32

Thanks so much @Talisin! I’ve gone ahead & ordered the Blaire sandals in a 4! I’m a 4.5 usually (sometimes a 5, sometimes a 4). I hate my feet! I justified it by saying I’ll have a tiny bit of birthday money left after my L&Y splurge & I’m selling some bits on eBay. Praying they fit 🤞

Thanks @Judystilldreamsofhorses. It’ll be my first ever real leather jacket so I hope I get use out of it. I need to make sure I wear it in Spring as well as Autumn
