Awesome shirt, @toastfiend

toastfiend · 05/06/2020 13:30

@happytobemrsg it was an issue for a while. I do think they're working really hard on improving it, though. I find I wear a small pretty consistently across the board with their stuff, but just have to be careful when I wash it and I tend to ask for measurements on eBay where people might have inadvertently shrunk something! I prefer the cord boilersuits oversized so haven't had a problem with them, and I know they're designed to be loose fitting. Maybe try one of the cotton twill boilersuits in an XS if you want them more fitted?

@itssquidstella thank you. 😊 I was a bit unsure at first, but I do quite like it under dungarees!

Terralee · 05/06/2020 13:35

I like your short cream patterned Topshop dress @itssquidstella

I'm just wearing leggings & hoody again, not feeling great so not going to post a pic.

itssquidstella · 05/06/2020 13:35

The is @Terralee, I really like it too! Hope if the weather is nice enough to wear it on Sunday.

itssquidstella · 05/06/2020 13:36

That should say 'thanks', not 'the is'...

itssquidstella · 05/06/2020 14:03

I wonder if it’s still possible to get the old cord @toastfiend. I’d buy from the website but worried about shrinking

Happy Friday! I am in a winter outfit - Bella Freud “future” jumper, Whistles leather skirt, Stan Smiths. It is absolutely freezing, raining, and blowing a gale here.

Great skirt @Jusystilldreamsofhorses I’m always happier in winter clothes!

It’s been sunny down here on the South Coast. Made an effort for the supermarket today 😊

Converse that I can only seem to bear for a few hours at a time but I love the colour....

@happytobemrsg their customer service is fab so don't worry too much. I've had issues with elastic faults on a couple of things and they offered me a return and full refund or partial refund and to keep the item super quickly, so I think the same could be said for shrinkage if it was washed according to instructions. For what it's worth, bar the first wash, when there is a little bit of shrinkage, I've never had a problem with mine shrinking lots. The old style non elastane cords do come up occasionally, but they go for £££££ on eBay. Keep an eye on the groups, though. They're popular, but I got mine for £35 as someone offered me

toastfiend · 05/06/2020 20:22

bloody phone! Posted too soon. 🤦‍♀️ someone offered me them when I was looking for smaller berry originals. Just be aware that some of the older labels can size up a little smaller than the new stuff. Smile

KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh · 05/06/2020 20:28

Thank you, @PalacePaper! I'm still a bit unsure about it, especially as I've just bought some jeans from Urban Outfitters. I also have a fairly similar dress from SilkFred and I'm wondering if I can justify keeping both!

I'm wearing a t shirt from Uniqlo and jeans from H&M. I won't post a picture because it's very dull but I will start doing so soon - I love these threads Smile

OublietteBravo · 06/06/2020 11:04

Brrrrr. It’s cold and windy. All in all it feels very autumnal. I’ve had to add another layer under my dungarees.

Dungarees: Boden
Jumper: Next
Shoes: Clarks

@Judystilldreamsofhorses I like your Friday outfit.

quantumdog · 06/06/2020 12:26

Hi everyone.
I've been under the weather the last couple of days and haven't got dressed at all. ☹️ I think I picked up a stomach bug from my youngest DD, although Christ knows how she got it in the first place.
Feeling slightly better today so I'm up and dressed for comfort in Hush jeans and an old but very soft and cosy cropped jumper from H&M.
My new Doc Marten sandals arrived today and I'm really not sure about them. I'll post a photo shortly so you can perhaps help me decide on whether to keep them or not.

@Sooverthemill The situation sounds incredibly tough with you never getting a break from caring for your DD. The love you have for her really comes through on your posts, and hopefully she's feeling a little better soon.

Afternoon all, have had a spendy few days - a dress from Run & Fly, my blue Alexas arrived from L&Y with a top as well and I made a special trip to our newly reopened artisan market today for this little number!! Everything is made from old sari material and some of the colours are amazing........I'm consoling myself with the excuse that my recent buys are much more "me" so will be worn lots.
The latest is that we won't be back in the office in any meaningful way until the winter so all of the more casual stuff I've bought is more suitable for home.

Dress - H&M
Knit - H&M
Boots - FatFace
@Sooverthemill your dd's situation sounds very stressful for you all, I hope this latest bug can be treated soon

Love the dress @TheOnlyMrsW !

I have the Death's Head moth on my wall. I collect butterfly's and moths, and this one is one of my favourites.

@quantumdog I've often thought I'd love to collect those old mounted insects. I do have some beautiful bettles in resin bangles from the 50/60s I'll have to take a picture. At the moment all we seem to collect is more toys Hmm I'm a Next advert today

@Sooverthemill hope that you are ok and DD is improving.

Weather is horrid. Emma Willis leggings , under armour top and sweaty Betty hoody!

OublietteBravo · 06/06/2020 14:51

We have thunder, lightning and hail here. Definitely not summery at all.

Softpebbles · 06/06/2020 17:04

Yup thunder and lightening here too!

Sooverthemill · 06/06/2020 17:28
