Great looks today everyone, I'm in the same jeans as yesterday so just did top half pics.
This is a cheap t-shirt from peacocks I bought a couple years ago, it's more green than pics show and it's a great staple. It gives fab cleavage, good length and the sleeves are awesome.

Excuse the messy hair - not bothered with it today.

I do feel like I’ve “found” my style now but I’m sure Sarah will still be able to show me things I haven’t thought about @KiteflyingKat. Thinking about it, I still have my September shop booked with Susie! That’s coming around quick!

Oh I do miss shopping as well @Sooverthemill! But to be fair, I don’t think I’ve been actual shopping much over the last year, most is done online since I was pregnant most of last year. I’ve just ordered my first leather jacket today. Had to size down as my usual 10 was out of stock. Will have to watch what I eat for a while!

No photo from me yet. I’m still in my gym gear from the morning. So bloody hot today!

Can I jump in?
I've had to buy a bunch of new clothes as I had nothing that fit. I've been getting a lot of inspiration from this thread and I've also signed up to Stitch Fix. My first box is coming next week so looking forward to that Smile

Lostinbooksandcoffee · 26/05/2020 08:33

An outfit I managed to pull together yesterday out of the very few things that remotely fits me!
Skirt - Oasis (last year)
Top - George (about 4 years ago)
Shoes - no clue!

Outfit for today. It might get too hot for these jeans though!

I'm trying my Lucy & Yak dungaree shorts out again. They're very big around my waist, but I prefer slightly baggy shorts as I'm chunky of thigh and I think they'd be too tight around my legs if I bought the size down. I'm a bit unsure. They're quite ahort in the body, and I'm quite long in the body, so with that and the excess of material, I'm worried they're a bit "crotchy". Comfy, though, and I'm working from home with no meetings, so have time to decide if I like them or not.

Dungarees - Lucy & Yak
Top - Boden

Another New Look bargain. Wasn't sure about the empire line on this, but now it's on I really like it! Hot and sunny here again so hopefully it'll keep me cool!

First ever post from my phone so hope this works!
DDs test negative. Nurse says GP needs to see her so got a call in. Phew

Went through my t shirt drawer today and I have too many! Have to sort them out. In my defence many of them are getting on for 25 years old. Huge cull coming on!
Have t read thread yet, hope everyone well x

Tee: madewell
Skirt: white stuff
Sandals: office

@KiteflyingKat that looks great!
@toastfiend I really like them, admittedly things often look different in RL but I like them
@Lostinbooksandcoffee welcome! I like your outfit. Glad we’ve inspired you, some very stylish people on here and everyone is very friendly. But honest!
@Justonedayatatime11 lovely dress.

Hi everyone. Lovely outfits today. I've managed to shorten my new look dress so wearing it today, but may change later depending on how hot it gets. It was very warm yesterday, but meant to be cooler today.

@Lostinbooksandcoffee welcome Smile Lovely outfit. I really like your dress today @KiteflyingKat - I continue to be very envious of your charity shops!

@Sooverthemill that sounds like good news for DD - hope the GP can help. Lovely skirt today Smile

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/05/2020 11:52

@Sooverthemill good news about your daughter! @PalacePaper @Justonedayatatime11 what lovely dresses. It's not that warm here, so I'm in Boden dungarees I forgot I even had, red and pink stripy Topshop t-shirt, and black Stan Smiths.

Update on DD, GP says bacterial tonsillitis so going to try to get her to swallow penicillin. Wish me luck, medication of all kind is very tricky ( much easier when she was NG fed)!

MerlinsButler · 26/05/2020 14:04

@happytobemrsg love those stitch fix trousers from yesterday.

@KiteflyingKate your charity shop finds are definitely starting to annoy me. I miss the charity shops from when I used to live in London. I used to get some lovely clothes. So jealous. Now I'm up North it's all faded primark and polyester.

@Lostinbooksandcoffee welcome. Love your outfit today and your user name. Look forward to seeing your stitchfix box.

@hiptobeasquare I am dying to know what kind of girls club is it on your T-shirt? Love that cardie you have on. Where is it from?

@Justonedayatatime11 I really like the colour / patten on that dress. I wish I could do long and floaty.

@sooverthemill great news about your DD's test. Hope the doctor get her sorted. I did a T-shirt sort out last week. They seem to multiply in my drawers so I do understand. Your outfit today looks really fresh and summery.

@toastfiend I really like those short dungarees but understand what you mean. I too am "chunky of thigh" and have the same problem usually with denim shorts. Too big on waist or too tight on thighs. Sometimes it's better to persevere TIL you find a pair you are happy with.

Was in scruffs and wellies yesterday as digging up the garden so no pic and still in dog walking gear today as had to rush back for a conference call.

Hope everyone has a great day.

happytobemrsg · 26/05/2020 15:05

What size are your dungarees @toastfiend?

Love your dress @Justonedayatatime11 I get most of my midi dresses from New Look.

Working from my office today so thought I’d make an effort to look presentable.

Top: Warehouse (Stitchfix)

@happytobemrsg they're a medium. I usually wear a small in most L&Y stuff, but these were preloved and cheap so I took a chance on them and figured I could belt them. I prefer them a bit looser around my legs but would be inclined to go for the small if I were buying from new.

toastfiend · 26/05/2020 16:33

Thanks everyone. Shorts have grown on me as the day has gone on, and DH was veey complimentary. Plus they've been hugely practical for climbing on the climbing frame/splashing in the paddling pool/playing in the garden with DS, so I'm actually quite pleased with them.

@Sooverthemill I hope your daughter is better soon and the antibiotics do the trick.

happytobemrsg · 26/05/2020 17:23

Thanks @toastfiend. I managed to get the tie dye short dungarees from L&Y & I ordered a small so fingers crossed they fit ok!

OP posts:
hiptobeasquare · 26/05/2020 17:45

@MerlinsButler it’s strong girls club from Mutha.Hood. The cardie is an old one from Mango.
@toastfiend The dungarees look great. I love the colour on you.

toastfiend · 26/05/2020 19:08

@happytobemrsg ah, very envious, I had them in my basket and by the time I'd gone to pay they were sold out!

Sickoffamilydrama · 26/05/2020 19:08

Love all the outfits. Glad it's not Covid @Sooverthemill I no longer have stocks of clothes although I still have loads but it does feel good to get rid of unworn stuff.

Your thighs don't look chunky @toastfiend but you could be like me when I rode horses all the time and have muscled thighs. I always have the problem of getting shorts to fit as my hips have a very exaggerated curve at the top. Even at 1.5 stone lighter 20 years ago my hips have always made me a big 14/ small 16.
Today I'm wearing vegan outfitters t shirt again as barely wore it yesterday.
Skirt Monki
Belt is one that came with a dress
Shoes Clarks
