I did a bad thing and impulsively bought Alien Eau Sublime. I love alien and ive loved every flanker ive bought so far. I cant stop myself when i fidn them at good prices. I AM BAD

It's so beautiful but it's just not one I reach for.

I've looked at the weather for the week and after tomorrow it gets horrid. Its Ds2s birthday on Friday 🙄😬

We've had to give family time slots anyway but won't be able to be in the garden now.

So I've just had a sort out and put some more autumnal scents on my dresser.

I received my Ffern autumn today. The perfumer for Ffern is the same as the Mary Greenwell perfumes although this particular one isn't noted on Fragantica . The winter/autumn fferns are very reminiscent of Fire and just don't suit me. I'm not keen on mine and I'm going to cancel my subscription as I only liked 1/4 last year. This autumn smells just like last year's.

That's a shame teta ....ffern isn't cheap iirc?

I've bought scented candles, soap, bath oil and bath salts this month so no perfume for me 😬

I favour marseilles soap. It's very long lasting and has some great scents 💜

Bad Thing part 1: I bought a small bottle of eau my soul from someone on a perfume Facebook group. Very happy as I've been wanting this for a while.

No worries @Yoikes as I can get the bottle refunded. The package comes with a sample pack and I've just tried that. I'm just debating whether to cancel my subscription permanently.
I'm a little grumpy as I've had a very itchy sore rash for days on my chest area and have now been told it looks like shingles.
Sotd is again Nuda Veritas. This is a really light perfume, but strangely enough it really lasts and smells so fresh. It's got a new Calone-like constituent that smells fresh,watery and delicious. Along with apricoty osmanthus .

I'm not sure what I think of the ffern business model. It's an interesting concept, but I don't think I would choose to buy perfume that way.

Me too @Yoikes I've spent way too much money recently on decants & bottles. I've found several new loves though and that's rare these days. Normally I have a strike rate of new perfumes of 1 in 10 on average .

My blind buy strike rate isn't that good either ...

SOTD Mitsouko. I feel sorry for my perfumes that no-one except DP smells, ditto my clothes that no-one sees. For SIX MONTHS MORE?

yoikes White Company did a similar candid to FDB last year called Fireplace. I have been buying St Eval candies recently, the first one was a complete punt because I could get them on Amazon during full lockdown, but they are amazing. I currently have one called Tomato and Basil which smells exactly like a greenhouse on a warm day, and fancy one called Embers next which I think might be along the FDB lines. They tend to come in about £10 - £12 so really reasonable too, highly recommend.

Sorry , I am so behind - teta I hope it’s not shingles. I had it very mildly a few years ago when I was really run down, and even then it was properly sucky. Feel better soon. 💐💐💐

SOTD is Ffern autumn which is a bit insipid - I can’t really smell it! Maybe Getting a cold so I will give it a few days before I return but like @teta I’m thinking of cancelling.

I've spent the morning putting away my summer clothes and bringing out my cashmere. I've been spraying it & my wardrobe with my Mallorcan lavender & cedar spray. It smells lovely on me and on my wardrobe and I've now used it all up 😢. I've still got the other bottle which is lemon grass & basil which should work as well as it has similarly repellent properties.
Thank you for the well wishes. I think I've had it for a couple of weeks as I've felt exhausted & drained. It's not too painful but it's been very itchy & I have an infection due to scratching, so my mouth tastes horribly of this clarithromycin medicine the gp has given me.

I'm still in my pj's so no scent yet. Ds2 feels grotty but no tests to be had. I'll keep trying.

I must dig out my Estee Lauder knowing...Fragrantica.com have an article on it atm :)

I'm tired and stressed and fed up. I need a scent to help with all of the above!^
