Hello Perfumistas, think it's been at least a couple of months since I've been on here. Had hefty dose of possible Covid, and several family deaths, one of which was sudden and reasons still unknown, so perfume has been the last thing on my mind. Starting to feel a bit more myself again but been sticking to fairly comforting stuff. 4160 Tuesdays Hammersmith (Tea & Biscuits) has had heavy use, plus JM Mimosa & Cardamom.

Gardening/fencing to be done today as preparation to hopefully adopt a dog when we can. Will go with Diptyque Eau des Sens I think.

I've got the Black Calamus in my shopping basket on the Bloom website. It's £170 and I'm trying to resist. I don't know why I'm telling you this. No-one here is going to tell me to be sensible and think of the recession. It's everything I could ever want in a perfume. Gaahhh!

Sounds like you are taking shielding seriously One , my mum and nana are both shielding but are turning a blind eye to dog walking. Luckily they live in a tiny hamlet.

@Flora it's £107 on perfume click, though may be a smaller bottle. I'm being sensible here and saying it's probably best to get small decants of perfumes first.
And none of my perfumes are selling on eBay at the moment, apart from some chancers offering me ridiculous offers ( like £24 for niche costing over £90). So the market for perfumes is very tough at the moment.

Flora Black Calamus sounds incredible. I shall be ordering a sample soon I think.

Hello perfume people. Can you help I wonder. I seem to love perfumes that get discontinued. The first was Gucci Envy and then Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y. Do you know if they are available? I’ve just tracked down some Chanel Cristalle which took a while as out of stock everywhere. Really hoping that’s not being discontinued.

They are both discontinued, sadly.
You can still get them occasionally on ebay but they are ££££££

I get cross about Stella discontinuing it as I read it was dedicated to her mum Linda and stands for Linda I Love You! Why would you discontinue a scent dedicated to your late mum? If I ever see her in the street I’ll march over and ask-poor woman

Cristalle edp today in honour of @Greenpop. It's one of my all time favourites and surely a classic. But it does seem to be out of stock in many places. I have Ormonde Jayne Tiare which is similar but not as sparkly and it's chillier in a different way .

Ah thanks @teta I’ve managed to get thdd Ed Chanel site to work on a different device. It’s £££ but I’ve hardly spent anything in lockdown so I don’t care! I went through a year of buying cheaper perfumes but sometimes you just need the hard stuff!

Random typo in there. I’ve slathered myself in Eau Dynamisante lotion and cologne after my shower. That always hits the spot too.
